"Teasers" By: Gordon Bombay In the backstage area of the park, within a warehouse nestled between the parking lot, Planet Snoopy, and a security post—there is an office. It's a quaint space, an older area that's a nice respite from the heat afforded to whoever is on duty at the time. A man sits there among the hum of a struggling window a/c unit, the din of the water park, and the faint whistle of the train passing in the distance. He slinks down onto a desk chair, one probably as old as the park itself. The well-worn coveralls he dons are speckled with dried paint. On the walls: remnants of a proud park's past are hanging in posterity: signs dating back to the halcyon days of Son of Beast's announcement (before it all went wrong), posters highlighting the first Winterfest revival, and wooden smurf characters outlined with a faded blue. His desktop computer struggles. Recently loaded with Windows 10, its hardware hails from a software edition that debuted just prior to the new millennium. He squints to see the screen in the warm afternoon light of a muggy midwestern afternoon. In his glasses, words reflected... "KICentral.com," "Forums," "Decoding2020," and... "teasers." Confidently, he pushes back in the chair, propping his feet up on the desk. He sips his coffee and glances over at a stack of freshly printed signs sitting against the wall—the ones waiting for their day in the park. Chuckling, he glances back at the computer screen and mutters: "When I'm darn good and ready you impatient, 'Acers.' When I'm darn good and ready."14 points

There is nothing at the old Firehawk site. My wife is there today just had her check for me lol7 points

Please note: Don will not use his personal social channels to tease something for the park. That would only come from the parks social channels.7 points

They are doing a great job maintaining all the potholes. I think they even went the extra mile and added a few new ones this year.6 points

You're very welcome, why i am stuck at work shes there lol im like can you please do me this one favor hahaha6 points

Yea totally cool you have the same name... MDMC01 the series (even though it was a great cartoon) had nothing to do with the movies but the movies are great and still worth the watch! I'm totally ok with this. I really think the blue and white look great on a coaster.5 points

"watch for falling trees" was the extent of the MT teasers. I'm not going to get my hopes up.4 points

Long time no chat for me on this forum. I see some familiar names in this thread which is nice to see from years ago. Really looking forward to this this addition to the park. My favorite color being used for the track is a nice touch as well. Everyone who made the videos you did an excellent job. Looking forward to finding out the announcement date and really hope it’s not August 15/16.4 points

Annoyed? Really? I hope that is an exaggeration. It's just a 2020 coaster. It's still a great park with much activity to discuss in 2019 without teasing the newest addition. If CF announced all their the big additions the same way at every park the anticipation would be nil across the board. We are just over the halfway point of the main operating season. There is still a ton of time to enjoy the teasing- kinda like ----play without a feather. Frankie say RELAX......4 points

I wonder who actually hangs up the teasers? It could just be a supervisor or employee who is told the morning of, but I personally like to imagine Don zooming through KI in the middle of the night on a golf cart, dressed in all black, armed with a staple gun and some teaser posters4 points

Update time. I reached out to Mason's engineering office via email again to check on any new blueprints that exist, and they confirmed that no new blueprints exist yet outside of what we already have. Doesn't really make sense since they're marking further footing coordinates at the site (so where'd those coordinates numbers come from?). I do have to wonder though at what line are blueprints not submitted? There are blueprints for the trains, but Mason won't get those. There are blueprints for each track piece, but Mason won't get those. So at what point are blueprints not submitted to Mason? Perhaps Mason only gets a sampling of the blueprints. Maybe we're already seeing the full extent of the blueprints? Anyways, I found the video linked below from today. As @collin.klopfstein mentioned in the Decoding thread, the T-shaped footing is now complete. Looking good! Looks like the large rectangular footing in the station and the large backbone beginning fitting are still waiting to get forms built around them. The blue circled footings are complete, and the green/yellow correspond to each other. Also, at least in the area the video shows, the large rectangular footing shared between the brake run and the lift is still waiting to get a form built around it. All pics are from the below video.3 points

There were all kinds of teasers on Social media for MT. Pictures of the train saying something about "this is the key". Pic of the bridge the train goes over. I remember a pic in that direction from the Eiffel Tower saying something like "If you build it they will come"3 points

I was on beast today and on the tunnel after the first drop you could see a lot of markers and the “t” looking footer for the break run is finished and uncovered3 points

Sorry for being so late to tell you because my mom doesn’t want me on my phone during “family time” but no teasers someone probably told you already but once again for telling you so late3 points

This thread gets comical about these teasers. There will be teasers opening day I know it! None? Well, they will certainly be there Memorial Day. No? Oh it's Grand Carnivale. They want to wait till that Monday after it's over. Still none?!?!?! Well, it's Monday, they will be up later this week... Part of me hopes they don't say a word till after Winterfest just to watch the carnage on here. lol3 points

I really hope there are teasers today, but I am not confident that they will start teasing on a Monday. I think that they will wait until this upcoming weekend to start teasing, personally, but @collin.klopfstein please prove me wrong. I really want to see teasers today. Also, thank you for going out to the park today and looking for new teasers. I, as well as others, really do appreciate it!3 points

I am really going to miss this event and I hope it comes back next season. One of the best events I have ever seen at KI.3 points

I see your point. Annoyed is not the best word I could have used. Disappointed is a better one, because I was really looking forward to that aspect of it. Make no mistake though, I'm having a great time this season and it's not something I spend much time thinking about when I'm there. I get that a lot of you think I'm wrong, and I guess at this point we'll just have to agree to disagree. I just don't like the way CF handles hyping up their rides. Still though, I'm sure there's a chance that by the end of the season I'll have a different opinion. As you said, there's still plenty of time.3 points

Since the applied-for trademarks seem to involve spaceflight themes, maybe the teasers will be tied-into the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11? (Launch Date July 16, 1969, Moonwalk on July 21, 1969) Neil Armstrong was part of Astronaut Group 2, in project Gemini (pronounced /ˈdʒɛmɪni/, rhyming with knee ) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NASA_Astronaut_Group_2 (announced on September 17, 1962) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Gemini Gemini 8 (VIII) was Armstrong's 1st spaceflight and the mission conducted the first docking of two spacecraft in orbit, but suffered the first critical in-space system failure of a U.S. spacecraft which threatened the lives of the astronauts and required an immediate abort of the mission. The crew was returned to Earth safely https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gemini_8 (Edit - Gemini is not one of the applied-for trademarks - Whooops! but its interesting reading nonetheless)2 points

Well there are a good amount of GP who knows about this since of how much WCPO and John Matarese has reported on it. I've ran into multiple people on the Eiffel Tower who were up there to see the land clearing because they saw it on TV.2 points

Yeah but not the GP. We as enthusiasts know haha I am sure the park wants to get the GP pumped up.2 points

Yesterday (Sunday), we saw several test runs in the afternoon. Some trains with water dummies, some without. Some isolated trains, some multiple train operation. At least one that paused on the curve just before the drop for several minutes. No real insights or reopening prediction, but nice to see trains testing. In other news, Blue Streak was closed all day due to flooding. The CP employee at the entrance said that the water was rising. So without BS and Valravn, that area of the the park was quite desolate.2 points

That is, unless you can't find your car and are searching the lot for 15 minutes most visits! (This has been me countless times, though I have gotten a bit better on remembering where I parked) Also, I do remember riding the trams to the car and it was a cool concept.2 points

From what I have read they were removed in 2003. With all the KI nostalgia taking place, electric powered teams would be an awesome addition.2 points

Will anyone go to the Mason City Hall and see if there is any new blueprints soon? Thanks.2 points
