  1. Curious how this affects the rides length, we are going to lose or gain total track length here. Would be funny if Beast broke its record again.

  2. That second picture is crazy. Is it just me or does it look like a dip was added before the brake shed? Yet, no explanation in the blog post. I’ve been wishing for some excitement in that area ever since the skid brakes were removed.

  5. It certainly looks like they’ve added a “swoop” into the turn to the brake shed, based on existing structure above track level that hasn’t been taken out yet. This means Gravity Group track all the way from the top of the first lift through the midcourse tunnel, in addition to the helix rebuild. Hopefully next year they’ll do the final stretch from the tunnel to the second lift, might be able to back off on the braking too.

  6. I know they had talked about this before and it be like a Citywalk-style thing. I seem to remember that Universal decided against it because it would be difficult to separate the "Citywalkers" from guests at the park. Plus, those who are coming out of the land would then have to maneuver through the people enjoying this Citywalk-style event. I personally, can't see this working too well. On a completely separate note, we now have our first in-park images of Epic Universe! These were taken by Universal and they look stunning! It almost looks fake and like concept art. My favorite picture here is Monster's Unchained because of how detailed the building is and just the effect it has on the surrounding area. I'm so STOKED!

  7. This is a good thing for those parks—Herschend is a quality operator (their quality and approach reminds me of the old Busch Entertainment Corp back in the day ) I thought maybe SeaWorld (aka United Parks) would pick up those parks considering John Reilly is at Parques Reunidos and his history with SeaWorld. (Although, that history may have made it *less* likely that he wanted to strike a deal with them )

  8. Glad to see Zulu repainted... maybe they don't plan on removing it as was rumored?

  10. It's official first sign of spring. Some people say when you see robins, for us it's when woodstock's whirlybirds are bing placed on the tracks. (Clipped from the KI Webcam)

  11. The first pieces of RiverRacers are constructed! I haven't been by there lately, so I can't provide exterior pictures. But, KI released another update on the ride and it's all coming together! https://www.visitkingsisland.com/blog/2025/january/soak-city-expansion-construction-updates Honestly, I kind of forgot about the interior lighting on the ride. What do you guys think about the water propulsion jets? They kind of seem different compared to other water coasters I've seen like Cheetah Chase, Wildebeest, and Krakatau. Here are pics from Cheetah Chase and Wilddebeest.
