  1. I concur strongly with your first sentence. It's challenging to feel patriotic and celebratory in the climate and state of affairs happening here. I wish I felt differently as I'm sure a lot of folks do. You wanna have pride in your country, but alas. I wish I could feel excited about this historical merch but I don't. And besides, just wait until near the end of the season next year and this stuff will probably still be a-plenty and will be on a clearance rack.

  2. That’s a nice looking color that I think will look even better under low light, looks like the some color as the balcony box at the old opera theaters which is obviously what they want

  3. I've been through the costume shop(s) at Cedar Point...it's insane how many pieces they put together, keep over the years and the small teams behind them.

  5. I think most of my opinions on it have been soured by current events, but putting my political opinions aside I'm glad to see that it's currently limited to this little section. Kings Island has a lot of fun park merchandise — even if some of the same items are available in most stores — that I'd rather see filling most shelves. I still don't understand why they brought in the "lifestyle" products this year. The America 250 logo is kind of nice and contemporary while keeping one or two things from the 1976 celebration logo. Any issues I have with the look of that is not with the park. US Bicentennial Logo Link to the America 250 website: https://america250.org/ Does anyone know if any parks (aside from maybe the Great America parks) had Bicentennial celebration merchandise? I know Cedar Point added the patriotically-themed Corkscrew and Kings Island added the American Heritage Music Hall (which could be a cool thing to rename it back to for next year), the living liberty bell, and a bunch of other patriotic displays for 1976, but did they have any special merchandise?

  6. I think that's correct. A few years ago (first year for Swinging, I was sitting next to a lady who was telling her friend "thats the costume I sewed. I loved the way the bow looked etc" leading me to believe yes, they are made on-site

  8. Camp snoopy is “sort of” well done. There’s so much they could’ve easily done to make it feel way more complete. Starting with, why isn’t the ride themed to a tree not in the area themed to camping in the outdoors?

  9. Any possibility that the screens might be used to give the ride a holiday overlay during WinterFest?

  11. Of the many things I love about The Beast which is my favorite coaster ever is the angled drop going into that impossibly small tunnel into the helix. The helix itself at night is a zen experience for me every time I have ridden it since its opening year. The crazy helix, feeling like almost going off the rails in pitch black...nothing else like it! Over the years, quite a few changes have happened with the ride and I am super happy they keep updating The Beast with new track...the little pop of air off the first tunnel going into the valley is amazing! But I hope they keep the wild and out of control feeling going into the helix and the helix itself. No other coaster has such an intense ending and that's why I love it so much...even if it does beat me up a bit.

  15. I believe the permit shows just the cost of the renovations to the structure and not the whole project.
