I think we have gotten hints from Eugene this week that, no, it was not ready but there was a deeper push to get this open for Dollys biggest and last new ride opening. Sadly she was not fully able to participate, but now some of the decisions made in the last few days before and right after the opening make more sense. Just shows decisions are made with different filters at Dollywood/Herschend.

Last Friday everything seem to be working and repaired except the furnace screen. So they do appear to be maintaining the ride so far. They really need to put lower bars on the queue line to stop the children with neglectful parents from swinging from them, crawling under them and touching the scenery around No legs, and climbing up the wall with their feet while they swing on the bar All of this is happening Since this ride is located in Snoopyland, i’m guessing it will probably be closed during haunt. That’s probably a wise decision given the horrible acting crowd that comes to that event.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I was having my smoked wings and green beans sitting between the Coconut Cove Cafe and the changing rooms when I saw someone go up to the side of the Cafe (on the outside) interact with a screen and 4 doors opened. Seems as though they used the mobile app to order food and there is a wall of hotboxes that can be opened with a code from the app. Wonder if there are any more of these in the park. Looked very efficient.

I fully agree. This past week has thrust this park back into the narrative more than ANY ride opening or new addition ever will. Now more than ever it is SUPER important for the culture, family and experience piece to be exactly as it was /should be. Dolly, in her passing, has given her passion project a renewed spotlight. They’d better be ready (and I think they know that, and will be)

I think it is interesting that back, at the 50th year at KI we were so happy we were a CF park and so proud of our park. When word that SIX and CF were thinking about merging we panicked (rightfully so). Now here we are discussing if/when we can get sold off from SIX. Right this minute I am glad we are a SIX park over Enchanted though.

I used the FAQ feature in the app to ask if PT:ON will be open during Halloween Haunt and it encouraged me to reach out to Enchanted Parks. 🤙🏻 Great job, chain! Appreciate the Mid-Answer.
