Did you email Maureen? At what time? I would like to go but do not know if it is too late to email her to attend tomorrow morning.
-
Do you suppose it is too late to email her with regards to The Vortex shoot tomorrow morning? It is 10:20 now. I got an email from Russ Johnson, and I recieved it at 8:30 this evening so I do not know when it was sent out, and if she would get my email for tomorrow. Just another example of PKI going out of their way to provide us enthusiasts some excellent opportunities!

I think the Nick Parade will still be at PKI in July and August. Why? Because that is the heart of the season, and PKI is the flagship park. Not to mention that is when the parade has occured at PKI the past two seasons.
-
I would imagine the trains will have three cars on them. That is what they have used for the Pumpkin patch express in the past years. The train might "break down" either at the Boomerang Bay station or the station by the picnic grove. The first year for Pumpkin Patch express, you could exit the train at the picnic grove, and go to activities in the grove.

I don`t think it costs quite $1 million per car. Remember that PKI has three trains for Son of Beast, only two are on the ride at any given time. If the cars cost $1 million a piece, then they would have cost $18 million alone. Way too high. I wouldn`t be surprised if each car cost between $10,000 and $20,000 though.

This has already been discussed on here in a previous thread. Try doing a search on it. Also, your other thread you created will likely be deleted because it is complete nonsense. The PKI hasn`t even completly nailed down what they are getting in 2006, let alone five years from now. That is a little far off in the future to be signing a new ride.

PKIC Layout Suggestions
CoastersRZ replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
In the attractions pages, I think it would be nice to be able to link to the photo gallery on that particular attraction from the attraction page. For example, if you were looking at the list of the family attractions, it would be nice to be able to click on the thumbnail of say, the Scrambler, and see the images in the photo galleries that pertain to that attraction. The same could be useful for the coasters and other attractions. It would help ease navigation on the site, IMO. Because right now, the set up of the photo gallery almost mimicks that of the attraction pages. Why not correlate the two or link them to eliminate some of the redundant navigation, if possible? -
I didn`t think it was crowded last year. A little more busy than a typical summer weekday, but not quite as busy as a weekend (certainly nowhere near the crowds that will be in the park in October).
-
Which is the reason why the park is saying 9 nights of Fear Fest, and not ten. This year, unlike last year, they are calling Fear Fest seperate from the family friendly portion of Nick or Treat. Last year it was Fright by Night and Fun by day. The first three years of Fear Fest, when it was a seperate gate attraction, it was open on Fridays and Saturdays only.
-
Well, from years past, the closer it gets to Halloween, the more crowded the park seems to get. If you are going strictly for rides, the lines might be shorter on Sundays, when they are only doing Nick or Treat and not FaerFest.

Fearfest Attractions Released
CoastersRZ replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
PKi today released a press release sharing a little bit more information. The Curse of Sleepy Hollow, will be the scare zone in Rivertown, as many have suspected. CornSTALKERS, will also be located in Curse of Sleepy Hollow. Additionally, Headless Hollow will be located in Curse of Sleepy Hollow, aboard the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad! FearFest Press Release -
Well this upcoming weekend, Procter & Gamble has rented out the park. These companies must pay some big bucks to rent out the park. (Even at Coney Island this past weekend, we were closed to the public on Saturday, and only open to Children`s Hospital employees and their families (all 11,000 of them, which is not fun at a park the size of Coney!)).

I certainly hope that we are not loosing a haunted house! While it will be cool to have a scare zone, I do not think it should replace one of the haunted houses. Lines for the haunts are already long, let alone what removing one would cause. I thought I had heard that Curse of the Crypt won`t be returning, but that would be the new location of a Sleepy Hollow haunt. Hopefully, FearFest 2005 will have the same number of mazes, with the addition of a scare zone, and a second FX theater movie. Only time will tell what happens with FearFest, and if this one will end up being the best yet, as some have claimed it could be.
-
Ok, I`m confused. How do you figure we will have two scare zones? Curse of the Crypt will be redone, as well as House of Darkness and the former Sleepy Hollow Horror will turn into Massacre Manor. How do you figure two scare zones, plus a new maze, in addition to CornSTALKERS? According to what they have listed, there will be one new haunt/scare zone, which I thought was the scare zone. It is nice that they will have two attractions going in the FX theater.
-
Where are you seeing that it lists Top Gun as going upside down six times. I see it refering to Top Gun as Top Gun: The Jet Coaster, but no mention of inversions.
-
Yep, it is finally up! Funhouse Express will be in the Paramount Action FX Theater and feature Jimmy Neutron. Nothin much else was mentioned besides that. There was a brief description of Headless Hollow and Massacre Manor.
-
I don`t think building Flight of Fear with the building first was an accident. That way, one the building was built, they could build the coaster on the inside and did not have to worry about weather holding things up. The one at Kings Dominion was built in the reverse order, coaster first, then building.
-
I`m sure they will have more attractions open thatn just the ones listed. Afterall that is still the test site. So there will be two movies in the Action FX Theater for FearFest this year??
-
So according to that site, Circus of Horrors, Maze of Madness, Psycho Path and Elivira will be back. Then new, or slight rethemes on the existing attractions are: Fun House Express (the former House of Darkness I presume, Massacre Manor (the white tent next to Paradise Island treats), and Headless Hollow (the old Curse of the Crypt spot). That leaves R.L. Stine`s Fear Street as the scare zone. Sound like fu!. Anyone know any details beyond what is on the site? The quality of the FearFest and Winterfest sites are really good with the flash animations and all!
-
Well I don`t have any insider information. But I have heard that next year kids will be ready to soak up the new fun in Nickelodeon Central with a new ride that will surely be a hit.
-
From what I have heard, one of the attraction that will be built could be fairly large in size, which makes me wonder why they are going to wait until January to start major construction. Also, don`t forget that there was is the possibility of a new ride in Coney Mall as well. It would be similar to what they did in 2003 with Delirium and Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle.
-
Yes, that is what I have heard also. That doesn`t allow much time for construction though!
-
Well, they already have the banners up in most of Rivertown, Nick and HBL. Also, on Labor day weekend, they had some early theming up in Coney Mall. The thing that I miss the most from FearFest 2002, is the amount of fog machines. In 2002, Coney Mall was littered with them, and the midway from Flight of Fear all the way down to Vortex was full of thick fog. That made for a very eerie feeling to the park. Not to mention the night I was there, natural fog had enveloped most of The Beast.

The reason PCW probably got IJST this year was its performance. PCW was the number 2 Paramount Park, just a few notches behind PKI. While PGA could have benefitted from the ride, they are in the process of building up their waterpark to attract more families. That being said, I would ot be surprised if within the next couple of years, that all 5 Paramount Parks didn`t have IJST, (although it may be known as slightly different names at each park).
-
Just curious, but why did you switch off of The Beast crew back to HBL? I for one did not think that any rides would close down before the end of the season.
