  1. ^ I had seen something similar that the 2020 permits were canceled with Santa Clara last August. Right around that same time the permits for our 2020 project were filed.
  2. FireChaser has a 39 inch height requirement so it would fill a great void.
  3. A wild mouse or something like Firechaser Express at Dollywood would be a great family ride for the park.
  4. I really like that the park is looking for ways to drive repeat attendance. Getting people in the park more is just going to help merchandise sales and food and beverage.
  5. The problem with Action Zone is that it was a byproduct of the 80s-90s Universal Studios/Disney-MGM Studios throw anything movie themed in an area and it will fit. Hopefully like others have said they add more landscaping and trees. A nice Transylvania/Eastern European theme would be great.
  6. After the presumed coaster next year, it will be about time for Planet Snoopy to get an expansion. I wouldn't mind seeing it turned into Camp Snoopy, similar to Carowinds recent re-theming of the land. The rustic camping feel would work well with the transition from International Street to Rivertown. As part of this transition, I would move Woodstock Gliders over to Coney Mall in the old Flying Eagles spot and re-name Woodstock Gliders to Flying Eagles. The 3-point challenge can be moved elsewhere in the park. In place of Woodstock Gliders, I would add Woodstock Whirlybirds, a teacup ride. Elsewhere they could add a play area and something like KD's Flying Ace Balloon Race. This would help plus two areas of the park as the Eagles would add to the improvements that Coney Mall has already made and it would give two more rides (Whirlybirds and Flying Ace Balloon Race) that could be open during Winterfest.
  7. ^ There are but they could always build a bridge over the service road or a tunnel much like the one going to The Bat currently.
  8. I am glad that Cedar Fair has started to give each park their own unique identity along with appropriate names. It give each of the parks their own look and feel. While KI and KD are a lot alike they also have a lot of differences as well. Hopefully they keep coasters unique throughout the chain. I wouldn't mind if they bought similar flat rides for their parks though as those types of rides are good for fleshing out the overall experience and if they bought two it would probably bring the cost down. For example, if one year they bought two Screamin' Swings and put one at KI and one at Wonderland, I think that would be fine.
  9. I checked out last year's map and they did have Festhaus listed as part of Oktoberfest. The other curiosity I have is with the IS improvement will they also improve the Showplace Theater and Chick-a-Fila as both of those are considered part of IS.
  10. I wish there was a way of adding a path way from the old SOB station over to the Xbase area. It would be a way to reduce two dead-ends and connect two areas of the park. The major issue would be the significant elevation changes behind Adventure Express and Flight of Fear.
  11. A few details on Coasterstock from today's ACE No Coaster Con Event: Glad to see the Flight of Fear photo opportunity is back again this year and that the Antiques are added to ERT this year.
  12. I would relocate Sling Shot somewhere in the park but I would love if they brought back the Skyride.
  13. It can actually change the taxes. I forget if Fort Mill or Charlotte was cheaper but you may want to ask a cashier if the souvenirs are in both states.
  14. Hopefully the front gate is also modernized as part of this update as well.
  15. The other benefit of a B&M compared to the lines with Mystic would be that it would be sending 32 people a cycle vs. the 24 a cycle Mystic sends.
  16. I agree with Oktoberfest. Upgrading the Festhaus layout, adding a flat or two (a Screamin' Swing and the Barrels) would be great for that area.
  17. I give Cedar Fair a lot of credit for looking for ways to improve the park. The great thing about this renovation is how unexpected it was. Hopefully the park brings back some of the original type shops. It would be great if they had more retro merchandise like CP does.
  18. I'm very excited to see IS brought back to its former glory. Hopefully they don't take out all the trees in the process but I look forward to seeing what is in store.
  19. You just need to show up when @King Ding Dong isn't in the park.
  20. I wonder if part of the reason they are not working on the Red side this year is because of the Antiques being in construction right now. Maybe next year they will work on the Red side.
  21. As the park looks to expand with events like this and Winterfest, they really would benefit by building more indoor venues. I would love to see them build something like a Harmony Hall over by the new coaster and make Showplace Theater an indoor venue. One only has to look at the amount of people in Festhaus on a busy day to see the park could support two large indoor eating/show venues.
  22. I wouldn't call it sluggish. It is just different than the typical experience. POVs don't always tell the full story. See Timbers, Mystic.
  23. Time Traveler was a great ride. It certainly didn't pack the force of a Maverick or I305, but it was as smooth as glass.
  24. ^ Yes, I agree. Indoor, air conditioned well themed queues would be nice on a hot summer day.
