Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks

Yeah, I think the leader of Liberty is going to be in hot water with the state of Virginia here soon. I know someone who is supposed to attend Liberty next year. -

The more I think about it, I think I did learn a lot more about what led to the event as well. It's just something I had in my mind. Obviously no matter the outcome, I think every future child needs to learn about what happened during this event. -

Also what Trump means by June 1st is that we are going to be on our way to recovery by then. I don't see places staying closed until recovery because I think it's going to take years to fully recover from this crisis. I also think the history lesson on this event that the next generation will learn about in school might be more about the result of this than the actual event itself imo. Obviously they'll learn about the event itself, but if the result is a major recession or even worse a depression, then the lesson may be more around that than the actual event. I hope we don't see a depression though, but I do think we will see a pretty big recession. -

He must've decided to listen to health experts who knew that it wouldn't work to do that. -

I think it would be nice if they put some cool "crack the code" signs or stuff with QR codes on it that can change to keep people interested and get people entertained while waiting in a long line.

Yeah I heard the most heat and humidity could do is slow down the spread. Not kill it. -

Florida and Louisiana are hot and they have A LOT of cases. In fact New Orleans is another US hotspot for the virus. -

Don't give up now. We still are several months away from the end of the supposed season. If we miss April and May, we still have June-October for all coasters and winterfest to enjoy. Now I say if we get to July and the park still doesn't open, then we can scrap the season and move onto the next. -

I expect travel to places like Europe and China will be one of the last things to resume. -
I doubt that will happen. It would look probably too similar to Orion and it would mess up the entrance feel that KI has.

**DOUBLE POST** I would love to see KI try and do an event in the parking lot again someday. Remember in 2008 when Robbie Knevil came and did his big jump? I watched a video on it and they had like a huge festival in the front of the parking lot. They had a band playing and had some festivities in the parking lot. I would love to see KI try something like that again someday. Imagine if they somehow got America Ninja Warrior to come to KI (unlikely, but something I came up with).

I'm starting to think we won't see a coaster for 4-7 years. I say if our next coaster is 2027, if the 20 year following CP thing has some meaning to it, that could be when we get our multi launch coaster. My dream is an intamin blitz like Maverick, but more realistic would be a Mack.

As of right now, Orion is 2020.

Kings Island and Cedar Point opening Mid-May
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Yeah, I'm a little confused. I thought DeWine said it would peak in mid May. But according to this, it basically levels out in mid May. Maybe it's an outdated graph or DeWine made a mistake? Time will tell. -
Here's a nice video I found where this person comes up with 5 possible locations for a new coaster at KI.

SeaWorld parks are going to remain closed until further notice. They are also letting a large number of their staff go temporarily known as a "temporary leave" Source: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10157953876647464&id=43800422463 -

I don't think we'll see VR on this coaster. That would slow down operations significantly. I believe CF stopped doing VR on Iron Dragon.

You know what would've been cool? A completely enclosed stairway with LED lights.

Are we talking about the banners down in the concrete wall in the ditch near the entrance and exit of FH?
