  1. Someone I know posted on Instagram about the idea of places/events in the future start adopting a temperature gun thing at security. Like for example, at KI after going through the metal detectors, you'll get your temperature screened and if you show signs of being sick, security will be called and you'll be asked to leave. It would be a little hard to do at first, but if like after 9/11, something big gets introduced to the world, this might be it.
  2. Yes and either: 1) I fly off the ride 2) I wake up mid ride or before I even ride 3) The park changes into something else 4) The park is indoors
  3. I can't see the picture. It's just words and if it is a link, It doesn't work.
  4. I wouldn't count on that. If that happened, then according to models, up to 75% of our population could be infected by it and possibly millions could be dead.
  5. Beast's 40th anniversary color trains are staying!
  6. I'm wondering are crews still there doing queue line/theming stuff as well as testing? Ik KI doesn't have employees on site atm, but aren't the crews for Orion from sky high coasters?
  7. I doubt we'll see the US require face masks when visiting places once they open up. The US even says only wear a mask if you are sick.
  8. Makes sense to make the decision now because of the months of training and stuff like that.
  9. wait Fuji Q is reopening? When? Are they just reopening or are they doing a phased reopening?
  10. Multiple restaurants are doing this thing where you call your order ahead of time and you go up and you wait in your car and they bring it out to you.
  11. I'm actually glad he is doing that! It's time imo! I say that Milford kid that said "he didn't care if he gets Corona" on the national news the other day probably fueled this.
  12. I expect Kings Island and Cedar Point's opening to be a process and not just open. Here is my guess of how the process would work 1) start by doing the media day/first rider auction events 2) then do some season pass events for Orion and have some select other rides open 3) have a season pass event with the whole park open 4) then open the park to everyone else Just a thought of mine. I could be way off.
  13. I can see how Hong Kong could be a part of China, but in some ways, it's not. https://www.tripsavvy.com/what-country-is-hong-kong-in-1535874
  14. Hong Kong is not in China. It's its own region. However, it is operated by China.
  15. I definitely believe this year will likely be a lower attended year if they do open (which I think they will at some point). However, I think that could mean that 2021 will see a higher spike in attendance probably.
  16. I'm autistic, but very mild. However, as a child, I was very sensitive to loud noises where I had a hard time at Kings Island because of the loud speakers that ride ops use for announcements as well as the starts bells on some of the older rides.
  17. I'm thinking coasterstock could be delayed. If the park were to open May 16th, it would be kinda hard to hold the event the same day. Maybe the park could do some Orion VIP tours on opening day, but not counting on it.
  18. Just got an email from Don. Sounds like they are going to reschedule the first riders event to around the new time. No details yet.
  19. All Cedar Fair parks I believe are following suit. I think May 16th or May 23rd are good dates to aim for.
  20. My Great Grandpa Smith lived through The Great Depression and when he died and we went to clean up his house, we found that he always stored jars because he never knew when he would need them.
