It is supposed to be very rainy tomorrow too.
-
I will be going by later today when I go to my drum lesson
-
I think it'll be topped off next week especially since we are supposed to get a ton of rain today and tomorrow. Kinda sucks since tomorrow is Halloween and it feels like rain on Halloween is the new normal imo.

Those are used during construction. From Leviathan construction: Source: https://www.themeparktourist.com/news/20111125/5377/leviathan-roller-coaster-continues-take-shape-canadas-wonderland

A little blurry pic, but I just took this while going past the park on my way to School of Rock! My Mom is driving!

Discussing Land and Space in and around Vortex
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to Klabergian Empire's topic in Kings Island
They do have the former Action Theater they could use for something in the future. -
Hopefully we see more things go up today!

I don't think the park has announced that and I don't think we'll know until after Winterfest. However, if I were to take a guess, I would say April 18th which is a Saturday (I checked the 2020) calendar with passholder preview night on the 17th (Friday) and Media Day/first riders event the 16th (Thursday). Just a guess and I could be way off.

Orion's first bank is straight. That bank turns a little to the left. So they are different.
-
That looks like a piece of the drop being installed.
-
Plus Orion is in the back of the park facing the back of the park. Fury and Leviathan face the front of the park so they are larger looking. To me this makes Orion unique and has a different affect.

It'll probably be the same wrecking company that tore down Firehawk and SOB. I believe the name is O'Rourke Wrecking CO.

According to the POV, it looks like you'll be looking right at the riders on WindSeeker.

Vortex Is Leaving After This Fall Season
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to THE_BEASTmaster's topic in Kings Island
I unfortunately couldn't get a last ride in today due to the crazy line, but I did get to look at it multiple times and let me say it'll be strange not having anything in that large plot on the midway and I hope KI and the team at CF think this area through and at least take into consideration how photogenic Vortex was and try to add something just as photogenic. Tbh I was one of the people who hated Vortex, but I will miss seeing it in the park next year. RIP Vortex. -
I think this actually makes this giga unique from the other gigas. It's not like Fury and Leviathan where it's lift hill faces the very front of the park and just dominates the entrance. Orion is more like Beast where you don't realize how large it is until you get up to it/ride it.
-
It looks shorter than Diamondback when right next to Diamondback because Orion is on the complete other side of the park. When standing by Drop Tower, DT looks higher than the ET.

Even though this isn't quite on Orion the coaster itself, it goes along with the Orion idea. I just did CHAOS for the first time and let me say I enjoyed it. I love how interactive it is. Since the only attractions in Area 72 have 54" height requirements, I think it would be cool to make Chaos an all season long attraction. That also goes along with Cedar Fair wanting to do more interactive experiences. I know it probably won't happen, but just a thought of mine.

It's probably the longest line in the park right now.

I've heard it's busy. Which isn't surprising since it rained all day yesterday which also explains why Friday night was slammed.
-
I'm coming up later today after church.
-
How did you get that last lift piece in? Unless it was installed already.
-
-
Ok. Even though it doesn't make any sense to me since the crane's boom is not even white.
-
So have we decided on a name for the 3rd crane?
