  1. Guess it really depends how many sets are for sale. I hope they have plenty so that everyone who wants one is able to get one.
  2. If they are planning to sell them online im assuming they'll have a lot for sale?
  3. Hope there will be enough supply. It would mean so much to me to buy Vortex track.
  4. To be honest I feel the exact opposite. The haunt decorations & scare zones play a huge role in the atmosphere imo. Restricting the decor to just the haunted houses would kill the halloween vibe for someone who just rode the rides and not visit the haunted houses. The scare zones for the most part look fine and play an important role in transforming the entire park into Haunt.
  5. If the event returns next year I really hope they have tents set up similar to grand carnival. The food lines yesterday looked to typically be 30 minutes+ which in my opinion makes it hard to justify waiting for a small portion sized item. The food does look fantastic though.
  6. I haven't been to the park in almost two months and Im planning on visiting next weekend. Would anyone who's recently gone care to share how social distancing and mask usage has been recently? Thanks!
  7. Seems like it’s permanent. Happy to see Kings Island to continue to improve its food offerings.
  8. B&M marketed Fury & Orion as giga coasters at their IAAPA booths.
  9. Looks like a great variety of food! I really hope a food festival will be apart of next years halloween event.
  10. I think the Busch parks do a great job at landscaping. Cedar Fair certainly has room to improve in that area.
  11. ^ Also a very large amount of their season passholders did not renew their passes this year so a new attraction could definitely provide an incentive for people to get a season pass again.
  12. I don't think need is the right word to use. They don't have any plans for The Vortex plot of land yet they took it down. Removing the SoB station could simply be a matter of improving park appearance. Is removing the station a sign something maybe planned to be built there in the near future? Sure. But saying needs implies there a 100% certainty something is being built there soon.
  13. If the campground were to run a shuttle service then they'd likely just use the drop off area, I believe that's what the Kings Island inn did.
  14. Is the park running a shuttle service really going to make more people visit the park to justify buying and operating a shuttle service? A shuttle service seems like something that would benefit the camp ground more then the park . People drive to a campground so it’s very likely most of the guests staying at that campground would be able & willing to drive to the park without there being a shuttle service. I just don’t think there would be much revenue lost by not operating a shuttle service. If the campground wanted to operate a shuttle service no partnership would be necessary.
  15. ^ I don’t think there’s much incentive for the park to do that. Having a shuttle for the campground would mean none of those guest are going to be paying for the parking lot toll.
  16. It looks to be a great attraction however I still think I’ll like Hagrids more.
  17. Does it really matter if someone enjoyed the ride? Perhaps people just have fond memories of King Cobra and because of that they like the ride? Also the blog says they removed the ride for a better thrill ride, how does that imply at all that King Cobra was “the best”. I for one enjoyed the blog.
  18. Kings Island has spent probably around 45 million dollars in park improvements in the past two years. I don’t think the park is going to be investing in large capital improvements for next year. I could see a small flat in Planet Snoopy or a new waterslide like Baconator said but I don’t think anything larger then that will come in 2021. Id love to be wrong though.
  19. I’m honestly guessing he misspoke and meant it was 80% EBITDA and not 80% revenue. When you look at this chart you can see the Big 4 probably make up 60-70% of revenue. Given the recent M&A I’d be very surprised if the Big 4 grew in revenue that much to make up 80%. Some of these people’s questions were worded poorly. (Note the graphs are from 2016). If those parks did account for 80% then they experienced some insane growth then.
  20. ^ I didn’t say Canada’s wonderland was like Astroworld. I was referencing the fact that Six flags plan to sell Astroworld for land did not turn out so well given the fact they spent 20 million on demolition costs and only received 77 million for the land.
  21. ^ Based off of what was said today Knotts Merry Farm & Canada’s wonderlands Winterfest events are profitable enough to justify opening. The company very much sounded open to hosting those events at those two parks.
  22. At the very least I’m expecting Canada’s wonderland to be open for Winterfest. As Fun&Only mentioned Canada’s wonderland is one of Cedar Fairs most important parks and brings in nearly the same amount of revenue as Kings Island. Also the land is not as valuable as you’re thinking as demolition costs alone would make it not viable to be sold for land. Let’s not forget what happened to Astroworld.
  23. I don’t believe the company itself is profitable currently. The parks Individually maybe profitable however the corporate overhead costs are not being accounted for. Also minor nitpick but they’re currently at 20%-25% attendance (In park spending is also up around 5% however up-charge spending Is down aka fastlane)
  24. Based off of the Cedar Fair conference call the event is indeed family oriented however it does seem like the event will also be focusing on food offerings. Can’t wait to see more information.
