  1. I see a possible follow up from other parks.
  2. Being a regular public school student, the last month has been pretty rough for me. My last day of physical school was Thursday March 12. I haven't seen or talked to anyone I know since then. I have seen a few people I know via video chats for specific classes, but other than that not at all. I haven't gone anywhere since then as well. Side note I hope I am not the only one going stir crazy. And yes, my Prom was cancelled, which means that I only have one more year to experience high school Prom. And the Seniors I know, oh boy. If you are a Senior on here I can't express how sorry I am for you. I know the ones I know are pretty upset that the last year of their high school was pretty much cut short. And the athletes have it even worse I can imagine. It just....really sucks is all I am going to describe it. As negative as this is, I still try to maintain a positive attitude. I know I will go to physical school again. I know I will see my friends again. I know I will go to Kings Island again. I know I won't be confined to my house for the rest of my life. This turbulent time in our history will pass and life will resume. I guarantee it. I watched New York's Governor Cuomo give his daily press conference and the number of cases in the hardest hit state is thankfully going down. I don't know how the situation is currently here in Ohio and I didn't get to see the full press conference from Columbus, but if Governor DeWine is talking about re-opening the state, that to me is terrific news. As long as we open with caution to do our best to prevent a second wave of infections, our lives will return to some state of normalcy. Personally I don't believe things will ever be the exact same they were before this all started. I think we will all be more aware of respiratory diseases as such and infections as a whole. But I have full faith in that we will recover from this pandemic. On a final note, I want to specifically express that this event was unprecedented and that blaming people right now won't help anyone. Nobody 5 or 6 months ago could have predicted this. I will not discuss whether or not this was purposeful or accidental. I intend on going on solid ground facts. But I will not discuss that here since it violates the ToS and I want, to the best of my abilities, respect others opinions and try to see things from their point of view. I want to apologize for rambling on about this, but bottom line is we will make it though it.
  3. Sucks to be stuck at home doing school work. But on the bright side, once the end of May rolls around, it will be summer break and school won't be a worry until August.
  4. Exactly. But hey, at least Grand Carnivale is still on for June.
  5. If I am reading this right, this map says we should move to Phase 1 the week of May 11.
  6. Yes, International Street has a German section in it, but Oktoberfest was geared more towards the German festival of Oktoberfest and to include German themed buildings and attractions. So I disagree that Oktoberfest should be annexed by IS. And Viking Fury is Nordic which (in a sense) is somewhat Germanic since most vikings were settled towards the southern part of Scandinavia and they did speak a Germanic language.
  7. I think there is a way to incorporate both a German theme AND a haunted theme into AZ. You cede most of AZ except for Banshee and The Bat to Oktoberfest but you make those rides (along with a minor expansion) centered around a haunted Black Forest (like I said earlier).
  8. ^^^ Good news is that Grand Carnivale is still scheduled to start on June 6th.
  9. I disagree with a European theme since International Street already encompasses that. Having 2 areas of the park with the same theme doesn't make sense. Ceding AZ to Oktoberfest OR re-theming AZ to a haunted area would be the two most feasible options.
  10. I love the idea of having Oktoberfest annex AZ. I feel a re-theme of AZ is the best way to go about "fixing" it. But I would suggest Banshee and The Bat to made part of a sub-zone called "The Black Forest" and it can have a spooky/haunted feel to it.
  11. The seventh fact on there is probably the most accurate one on there.
  12. Just as I was reading your post an amazing idea came to my head: What if they used the train as a haunt called "Safe haven Express" and had a sign at the station that said: "Take the train to safe-haven". So people board the train and the train starts out as usual but the train breaks down at the halfway platform. They evacuate the train and attempt to make the rest of the journey on foot but they are abused by zombies. They are chased and harassed by the zombies through the Whitewater Canyon route and the come out at the train yard where a rescue train is waiting for them to take them back to Rivertown. I think that would be a cool idea they could do for Haunt.
  13. According to the park, it reached the end of its service life. That good enough for ya?
  14. Kinda regretting not buying a pass sooner....
  15. Thanks! One less mystery to me of Kings Island now...
  16. Yeah I would like to know where they set them off as well. It's always puzzled me.
  17. A store......with toilet paper! Now I know we're gonna make it through
  18. Wow. Just wow. A lot of my friends are really gonna be disappointed.
  19. I miss the antenna that used to be at the top of the Tower.....hope it comes back soon! And Racer's paint job.....
  20. @DeltaFlyer Ok. Ive requested access.
  21. @DeltaFlyer Could you make the document so people can view it but not be able to edit it? Since it is a google doc it should be able to.
  22. They could use the third train station and use that as a landing to an extension of Rivertown...
  23. Yes, very interesting read.
  24. The "Rhine River Falls" idea kinda makes sense. Late 1800's to pre-WWI Germany had a colony in eastern Africa called Deutsch-Ostafrika, or in english German East Africa. For those wondering, that former colony makes up the modern day nations of Burundi, Rwanda, and Tanzania. Anyways, that area was filled with rivers and lakes and there was one river (can't remember it's specific location and modern day name) that led into Lake Tanganyika that the Germans called Der Afrikanische Rhine, or The African Rhine. And just before the river emptied into the lake, there was a big waterfall there (still is). So yeah, it kinda makes sense.
