They should serve corn beef sandwiches with sauerkraut and cheese with rye for the bread.

Looks like there is a trim break on there after all.

They could pull another Festhaus. German styled building and atmosphere but with mainly non German food.

Well, Viking Fury got a repaint. Do we seen any more cosmetic tough ups coming to Oktoberfest? One I would like to see is the return of the German restaurant that Hank's shack occupy. And maybe something with the Bier Garden.

International street makeover

I really do think that they could have kept the pedestals on the fountain while giving it the modern tune up. As much as I like the shows, it seems like it's a swimming pool with a glorified filtration system. -

We don't need another BLSC. -
Slightly off topic, but looking at @PatchesC's photo above, I would imagine a sign that the park is opening up soon would be the Diamondback pond is filled.

Discussing Land and Space in and around Vortex

While I 110% agree that a return of the S.S. would be an amazing addition to the park, I see two problems with that: 1. The Vortex plot isn't big enough to rebuild the S.S 2. I seriously doubt that most people remember the S.S at Coney even was. Maybe enthusiasts and older folks might remmeber, but most park goers won't even know what it was. -

With all due respect, could you elaborate on this? I don't see how the Shooting Star would be a perfect fit or an economical one. -
I'm siding with @Shaggy on this one. As of now it's speculation, but I'm gonna wait for an official statement from the park.

I can see it now: "Secretary, what's my calendar for the rest of the day?" "Sir, you have a 3:30 appointment with The Racer." "Excellent." -

Could Infinity Flyers replace current Millennium Flyers?
Klabergian Empire replied to SonofBaconator's topic in Kings Island
First off, why would they even do that? PTC is still in business and can easily get the park parts it needs for PTC trains. Second, if that ever happens, it would most likely happen to Mystic Timbers. And finally, if they ever replace PTC trains on Racer and The Beast, it would completely ruin the ride experience for me period. -
The episode aired on MeTV earlier at noon today.

Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks

Really dumb idea, but if the park wanted to run rides at full capacity they could install plex- glass between the seats. lol -
Do you think K.I. will return Phantom Theater in the 50th?

Klabergian Empire replied to Cedar Fair Fanboy's topic in KI Polls
Ya know, with all thats going on with COVID, I would imagine that if the park was wanting to add something new that is cost cheap, they could redo Boo Blasters and make it themed to the Phantom Theater again. I think that they should keep the blasters because riding around the same old track just looking at stuff gets pretty old. If they upgraded the blasters and re-themed the track to Phantom Theater, they could have something new AND bring back another former attraction. Thinking about it some more, there is an issue with haunted houses. If you keep the same old haunted lineup, after awhile the public loses interest and ridership goes down. They have to change it up every so often or else people will stop going to it. Just thinking to myself... -
I just got SLAMMED with flashbacks and nostalgia the second I started listening to the SDATHC soundtracks.

Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks
Klabergian Empire replied to Hawaiian Coasters 325's topic in Kings Island
I would imagine they would try to do what other places (not amusement parks) are doing. Temperature checks before and after shifts, required face masks for employees, gloves and other necessary PPE, things like that. It is extremely hard to slow the spread of a virus, but you can take steps to slow it and reduce the risk of infection. Thinking about it, there are two things that the park could do. One, they could install ionizers in indoor locations like the buildings on IS, Boo Blasters, FoF, Coney BBQ, you get the idea. The second thing they could do is use UV lights to quickly disinfect areas like lap bars and seat belts and railings, things along those lines. -
Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks
Klabergian Empire replied to Hawaiian Coasters 325's topic in Kings Island
Well, look on the bright side everyone. Ohio is beginning to re-open (slowly, which for the most part is good). And I personally think that Kings Island will open sometime in June. Noticing the discussion, nothing is 100% safe, especially in amusement parks. Kings Island does a fantastic job of keeping riders safe and up keeping the rides themselves. There hasn't been a major accident at the park since 2009. Going on 11 years without major complications. That's good. But this doesn't mean that you couldn't get hurt. If you look at the ride safety signs, the fine print specifically says that when you enter a ride, you assume the risks that come with it. There is that possibility that something goes wrong and you could get hurt. But luckily incidents like that aren't very commonplace (to my knowledge). -
Guys, guys, guys! Brand recognition, remember?! We need a Haunt themed to Missouri Jane!
