Coasterstock Returns in 2021
Snowball replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
darn. Woke up too late to get one. Maybe next year. I probably shouldn’t take off working at the park to visit the park anyway... -
Now that they put the webcams back up, I’m just sitting here watching Orion’s lighting package. It’s so mesmerizing. It really looks good on the cams.

I definitely think KI will be slammed when they open. Every entertainment-type venue that I've been to lately has been absolutely slammed, even bowling alleys. Went to TopGolf this morning and it had a 3 hour wait at 10:30am on a Sunday.

I would assume so, I don't see any point in repainting them back to red, the orange, yellow, and red look good.

Discussing Land and Space in and around Vortex
Snowball replied to Klabergian Empire's topic in Kings Island
I’ll have to dig mine out from wherever it is. I never read them lol -
I would definitely go in at some point then. That really sucks that they haven't called you yet. The YMCA site should be able to get you in, seems like they're accepting almost everyone. Not sure if you live in the area or not though.

Just got my first vaccine dose today. The clinic at Countryside YMCA seems to be vaccinating anyone over 16. I scheduled an appointment and they let me (20 yo w/ no serious medical conditions) get one. Getting my second dose next month. I'm assuming this has something to do with the state's new orders allowing anyone to get extras that may be available. Edited to add: If anyone is planning on going there, the site is only open on Tuesday’s from 9:00am to 6:30pm

September can't get here soon enough! Haunt is by far my favorite of the 3 major park events. (Carnivale, Haunt, Winterfest)
-
Woohoo! I grew a new fondness for Winterfest after setting it up and striking it in 2019, it's such a neat event and has so much passion and care put into it.

Virtual ice cream or real?

Yeah, I woke up thinking "Wow that would actually make a pretty neat addition.". It was kind of like what The Beach had, but it had 4 lines running parallel with each other, I don't remember if they all went to different areas or if they were the same, but regardless it seemed really fun.

The other night I had a dream the other night that they added a zipline from the oktoberfest area all of the way to rivertown as a new attraction for 2021. I never got to ride it, because I was working.

The kitchen smells awful, after smelling that the rest smells great.

I think it exists. I'll update if I find a link.

It’s a storage warehouse. source: I’ve been in it.

Kings Island Theatre, chain grease, and that Festhaus smell.

Right now AT is mostly storage. One side is storage for a few departments and the other side houses Urgent Scare. I don’t really see them doing anything with that area for the next 10 years, there’s other spots to build and the building is being used. The most I could see is a new haunt maze, Urgent Scare is quite old at this point, and with coronavirus, I could see it not making a return. I couldn’t see them turning it into a theater again unless it’s torn down and rebuilt with new, more modern technology. The equipment is quite old and probably not worth starting up again as a “new” attraction, and that doesn’t take into account that motion theaters are largely a thing of the past by now. If they do anything new with the area, I’d like to see them tear it down and use the land to build a new attraction, maybe some flats.
