  1. An appeal from the judge's preliminary ruling on The Beach Club insurance proceedings is already planned: http://m.meadvilletribune.com/news/local_news/judge-says-mediation-needed-to-settle-conneaut-lake-park-s/article_5083a4dc-90b4-5bb6-af00-2732dd6bdd99.html?mode=jqm Again, the Meadville Tribune deliberately (or negligently) withheld critical news in order to serve its own pecuniary interests. Shameful and petty. TWO WORDS could have been added to yesterday's news teaser: Mediation Ordered. That they weren't is truly pathetic.
  2. A. Judge orders mediation, likely to happen in mid-January: http://www.goerie.com/judges-seeks-compromise-in-conneaut-lake-park-bankruptcy B. The last sentence is hopeful... C. I have lost ALL respect for the Meadville Tribune. They COULD have reported this last night/early this morning. They doubtless will--later today. Instead, they deliberately and with great self-interest chose to hide this vital information for their community behind a click-bait article that gave only The Beach Club information and encouraged checking back later-- trying to get people to subscribe to their website, visit often (so they have to subscribe), and buy the print edition. A conscious strategy. Unless they are just woefully incompetent. Either way, a pox on them. Fie!
  3. A very different story: http://m.kfyi.com/onair/arizona-news-55067/boy-injured-after-climbing-out-of-14161184
  4. Not to be confused with a rumble seat, which folded out of the trunk of a car. Yep.
  5. I believe you mean you can bear (not bare) to press forward. Nudity is frowned upon at Disneyland!
  6. You've seen them in movies. They fold up into the wall, and come down for use.
  7. Most Beach Club insurance proceeds to go to taxing authorities: http://m.meadvilletribune.com/news/local_news/bankruptcy-judge-preliminarily-rules-on-who-gets-beach-club-night/article_46bae7a2-979b-11e5-bc0f-7b3871d2c68b.html?mode=jqm
  8. Probably sooner than most here would think.
  9. No news (as this was posted): http://www.yourerie.com/news/local-news/conneaut-lake-park-pushes-to-stay-open Link may be updated...

  11. The park's (and the two Eds' and Bruce's) virtually complete silence about anything except the coaster...on the other hand... Refreshing, smart, yet ominous.
  12. And on closing day, 2015, said water fountain (and its drain) was working fine. I also looked to see if the Royal Fountain was still there, as it had been every season since 1972. It was.
  13. Nope. Nor Spider. The park looks very forlorn. The Whip rebuild gives me hope, else I'd fear there will be no 2016 season.
  14. It depends. Do you like the idea of El Beast-O, an RMC steel conversion?
  15. I certainly hope so. Not all change is good. See 2015.
  16. On closing day, the Whip was being rehabilitated, with about half the floor replaced.
  17. ...possible greatly revised pricing structure... ...food...separate... ..online vs. in park... ...discounts... ...pricing levels.., ..probable but not definite... ..see also Six Flags....
  18. Camden Park. Log flume. Ohio River water + several gallons of chlorine beach. Unless something has changed recently.
  19. Note also Tom Jackson, who can't keep Cedar Point and Cedar Fair straight, refers to the new Gateway coaster. And his first two words are "Thank heavens." Objectivity. Accuracy. Tom Jackson?
