  1. ...which means many of those refillers will no longer be jumping lines and clogging up lines at food service locations. Great move, Kings Island!
  2. ...assuming there is no road damage under the rockfall. And that subsequent rockfalls do not recur. Delayed reopenings have happened before.
  3. Oh, look over there! Ground smoothing. Terp--diversionary¿
  4. Lori's Holiday World: Rider Comfort. Cost. Prevent or reduce unnecessary maintenance. Current management's goals and costs tolerance are different than those in the past. Watch what they do, not what they say.
  5. Speed limits have NO grace tolerance. Towns on detours know this. THEIR real limit IS the speed limit. (See also Washington, DC). Much of the time, you won't be able to do the speed limit. It's when it drops suddenly a town has opportunity. Following the crowd thinking one is protected while bearing out of state tags? Really? There's a strategy!
  6. And rejection of the lease by the bankrupt owner or a bankruptcy court. Water is provided by a system operated by that owner as well. It is possible that this property could become part of a sale to pay off debt. Large contiguous parcels bring far more money than if they have a checkerboard of cottage outlots preventing development but bringing in $1 a year each for nearly a thousand years in the future. Lease rejected in a bankruptcy? See Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom--lease over. These properties used to go for far, far more. Seek a qualified attorney licensed in Pennsylvania for legal advice about real property there. Bankruptcy is a highly technical area of law, you should seek a qualified, expert bankruptcy attorney should you need one. Purchasing property interests that may be involved in a bankruptcy is a risky endeavor and may entail certain legal and financial risks that may not be avoided even with good advice and careful planning. Property values may or may not reflect these risks. You could lose some or even all of your investment. This is a disclaimer. Too long? Didn't read? Fools rush in where the careful fear to tread.
  7. ...just as Son of Beast did? That's Paramount think circa 1995-1999.

  9. Operating? It did that? Really? Terp, only 43 percent kidding.
  10. You'se my kind of people. But you knew that already.
  11. A steel coaster requires far less maintenance and continuing commitment to operate. A steel coaster is like a relationship. A wood coaster, a marriage. And there have been steel coasters torn down. Not gigas. Yet. The day will come.
  12. ( Note to self: I'm definitely getting old. )
  13. See also International Street's grand, majestic mu....er....noise.
  14. Tilt-A-Whirl, Ferris Wheel, Whip, Skyride, Parking lot trams, Dodgem Cars that run at more than 30 percent design speed, turnpike, classic dark ride....
  15. Oh the Bobs, oh the Bobs. Oh how I wish... Terp, floating off to Dreamland (and Palisades Park...).
  16. Rampage, as it was running last year, was my favorite wooden coaster. I do need to get back to Tremors--and soon.
  17. I wouldn't cross the street to ride Voyage. I'd gladly drive cross country in a blinding storm to ride Beast at night.
  18. I was going to say that, but it didn't fit your specified time period.
  19. See also Top Gun...in particular. Or Boo Thing.
  20. I can also about guarantee that many of Tennessee's revenuers--excuse me--safety enhancers--will be out in full force passing out invitations to the local court systems. They certainly have in years past. It's for the safety of the children, you see.
  21. ...not that they helped much back then. The average person took a bath once a week then. Smoking was everywhere. Many women covered BO with what was called toilet water. They smelled like it, too.
