  1. Regulators are far more stringent with new installations. Existing rides in many states may cycle only once (or in some places, less than that). As always, New Jersey and California are different. Very much so. And Florida on the opposite end--large theme parks there do their own testing, inspection, etc. EDIT: Replied simultaneously!
  2. One must remember that both journalism in general and newspapers in particular had different standards back then. Decorum. Dignity. Respect. A man is dead. He will remain so. His family grieved. And still does. Endless speculation and digging is unbecoming, unnecessary and even hurtful. Morbid fascination is not good. I, for one, think society, the park and we ourselves would be better off without continual rehashing of this unfortunate death. It's 2016. Long past time to move on.
  3. But, but, but... Wise parks target Mommy and Daddy. What they remember and like. They are the ones who bring the kids (or not), pay (or not) and decide how often and long. Snoopy is a wise choice... Kids love dogs. If they didn't know him from Astro, it wouldn't matter. Mommy, it's a DOG! And whoever saw an almost all white beagle with black ears, anywho? Or a yellow outside birdy? Not many of those.

  5. Um...okay. Terp, who knows people have argued about that for years.... Along with Superman at SFMM--coaster or not? There are more important things to concern oneself with...
  6. Something new is coming to Ninja. Please don't be a move to a California Six Flags... Please!
  7. Brakes? It's violent LONG before any brakes. I actually think even Ninja would have been a better choice for this.
  8. I thought it was Magnum XL-200 that was sink-in.
  9. But see Mickey, whose current series is....
  10. Awesome pix, as always! Anybody here know what's next for the site?
  11. Six Flags is not about to give up The Flash Pass revenue. And The Flash Pass users would not be amused. And two hours is a LIGHT line for that ride. One can easily encounter far longer waits for that little ride. It's a very violent little booger. If any VR ride is going to get somebody hurt...
  12. See the post above yours... Also note any forum game must be approved in advance by a mod. That's part of the reason for that rule.
  13. It's been done in the past. It no longer is as it wasn't very fun.
  14. For a refund or exchange? Terp, who likes to ask questions.
  15. ...and they just painted Top Thrill Dragster. Good people, excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.
  16. Yeah, but it was a rustbucket! What coaster needs paint in just two years? And it wasn't even fun. And talk about low capacity, slow loading, miserable line...
  17. I think I see Der Point. I'd still rather visit the Joisey place. I'm funny dat way.
  18. Size isn't everything. Neither Tremors nor Rampage...
  19. See also Hercules, Rolling Thunder, Son of Beast, Hurricane, Shooting Star, Big Dipper, MegaZeph...
