  1. Go into the communications room, they have a doppler monitor on.
  2. I believe most of the coney rides are "hard automated"
  3. He knows some of the easy words, like Chipotle and such.
  4. The part in the ad is actually the tune from the icefield to the lava pit. (DSM-11)
  5. Indeed. King Cobra was *****in
  6. Probably because the block ahead was still occupied, thus the PLC turned off the lift.
  7. Speaking of which, Pera, how is your new mom (CSM)
  8. In addition at that same park there is weeds/ possibly poison ivy under the Vekoma SLC roller coaster that is pretty close to your feet when you go by.
  9. Sales, or lack thereof.

    Fof

because they actually have the colored lights working like its suppose to be.
  11. Riiiiight.
  12. Usually there are seperators working the position.
  13. Wrong- 3 trains was load, unload, trims. furthermore, the reason why rides such as Top Gun and Vortex park the train on the lift is so they dont have to worry about chaining/ chaulking another train. And for the person who asked why the sent the other two trains around on Beast after adding the third, because they had to make sure the train came back, which requires dispatching to see if that happens. And not all steel coasters use air bags, just arrows.
  14. Don't let the managers hear you say it use to be red, our crew got that marked off on the rides guru in 2002, we said red, they said it use to be orange.

    Vortex

^ LOL, I hate when Vortex gets stuck with a train on the first and second lift, pain in the butt to figure out how to get that train off the second lift.
  16. probably had blood on the ride or something.
  17. Well KCKC was tore down in 2001 before the season started, and TR:TR building construction started somewhere around september I belive, and opened the next year. Now as far as as the actyual manufacturing time of the ride unit itself I don't know.
  18. The trains are inside of the Flight of Fear drum.
  19. Nah, I've filled them up at night before.
  20. I hihgly doubt that, the antique cars used a combined total 0f like 20 gallons a day if that, plus had a crew of either 3 or 4 working the ride. IJ has a higher crew number, so that cost more right there, plus firing those LIMs arent cheap. I know with Flight of Fear each launch used about 3 MegaWatts of power, IJ probably uses less than that though, but you also have to remember, the Propane used for the fire scene and all other effects, resulting in more technicians needed to work the ride, and get it ready each day.
  21. So which mode did you use when you got trained, if i recall correctly it was test mode.
  22. Youre right, you and all the other little kids dont know what your talking about. Wrong, its the same system since its opened (it may've gotten a new PC/ Monitor, but thats hardly considered a new computer system.. And yes it has 4 modes: Auto, Manual, Test, and Evac.
  23. I'm going to have to go with Beast, the past couple years its gotten real rough, no air what soever.
  24. Dude, Delirium already has a kick ass computer/ PLC. It uses both a Control Logix, as well as a SLC-500 series PLC as a watchdog to the CLX. As well as the DeviceNet and ControlNet system that uses CIP (common industrial protocal). Furthermore thats probably why Delirium and TR:TR goes down so much, due to the PLC shutting the ride down, because it detects something WRONG. Again Delirium alread has a *****in computer system, no need to change.
  25. In honor of my 666th post (which is the Log Flumes section number, thus why im making this post) Do you like it as Wild Thornberries River Adventure or how it use to be (Kings Mill Log Flume)
