Has anyone ever come across the smell near subway, next to the monster. It smells awful.

As far as crowds go, I feel last years haunt was much more crowded than this years. But that may change, we still have the rest of the month.

The Most Ridiculous Thing a Ride Operator has told you.

Not sure why this topic is just for the ride ops. Once heard someone in the park ask the following, "why are the midgets not back this year?" With the answer being, "They grew up."- 264 replies

cool story bro... Hope you knew the safe word to get off the ride.

I think the park took a hit in attendance during the heat wave. There's just not enough shade, fans, or indoor facilities to truly enjoy a full day at the park.

You'd need about 100 of those water lights to even remotely start to see Durga in the dark. But it is an amazing idea Fusiondude!

Beast & Kings Island featured tonight on Travel Channel
Captain Nemo replied to a topic in Kings Island
I was actually going to take time to watch the show, this would be the first time I have sat down in front on the TV in two years (ever since LOST ended). Apparently Time Warner Cable got rid of the Travel Channel for Basic Cable and made it a Digital Only Channel. Oh well, I wonder if they have it playing in the Festhaus right now? -
The ride is wonderful, though I do wish that they had fans throughout the line and in the station. It gets quite hot when waiting in line, sometimes I skip the line just because no fans are in the queue. Those employees are amazing though, getting through the day with no fans and still being at their best! Don't know how they do it. Just imagine if the crew had fans?!

Nights of fire was the show to see around the tri-state. Not so much now. Blue ash is the show to see nowadays.

Silver Dollar City 2013 Coaster

Its definitely topper track as the coaster is being built by the makers, rocky mountain coasters. All I can say is if this ends up being successful, I would love seeing a coaster like this at ki. -

There are no photos yet, but multiple people from multiple fan sites that went to the park today are saying the track has been placed and is indeed an inversion. Hopefully there will be photos tomorrow! -

SDC has already begun construction on their new Rocky Mountain wooden coaster, in fact, they have most of the ride built. What is most interesting is the recent construction photos in which you can clearly see some MAJOR banking in which the track will follow. Almost looks like it is going into a zero G inversion. Thoughts on this? Maybe a return to looping wooden coasters. http://www.silverdollarcity2013.com/ -
Its location is a little RCT'ish. It looks great from a far down the midway, but up close looks quite crammed. If it wasn't for the theater being behind it it would not be an issue. My only problem is that its queue is way to small. I find it quite humorous that their wait time goes up to 120 minutes but the line can only hold 15 minutes. I think that would help with congestion around the park if some queues around the park held more people.

Does Kings Island need a New Wooden Roller Coaster?
Captain Nemo replied to TheBEASTunchained's topic in KI Polls
JR, I'm going to be quite frank with you. You're an all around moron who keeps looking for our enlightenment with ever post you make. This forum at its core is one of the better ones you see with a great community in comparison to many MANY other forums. People like you that bring their all mighty and all knowing presence just damper every topic they post their filth in honestly make me want to read less and less from this site, which is a shame because I have been part of it since 2005. Do me and my friends here on this site a huge favor; stop lying, being a snob, being all around disrespectful, and give us our right to make up our own minds and call you out as a liar if we see fit. Even in the VERY unlikely chance you are telling us the truth, if I were you I would read over what you post because a lot of it puts a bad taste in our mouths. Now I do not post things like this often (if ever, this is probably my first), but I want to continue enjoying my time on this site, so please, allow me to continue doing that! Thank you. I'd love to see a custom Rocky Mountain Coaster in the park. I for one love wooden coasters and feel there are not enough of them being built anymore. I'd love to see this new generation of smooth wooden coasters get its big break in the industry! -

Ed Alonzo’s Psycho Circus- Magic and Mayhem

SoakCity, I think you have been spending way to much time in the eastern part of the USA, try taking a trip to the west coast then tell us what's not acceptable. -
Did anyone ever think that sometimes it is not the ride ops that are slow... but the guests? During a power hour in 09, Diamondback had trains in the station for 15-20 seconds. That's the only crew I believe ever had trains leaving consistently. Most of the 09 crew came from the 08 Beast crew, so makes sense!

I'd love to see a return of some kind with water. Rivertown really has lost touch with the original idea it was based off of. We lost the Mining Co area, Swan Lake, Beast Lake, KCKC, Kings Mills Log Flume (when the ride was originally park of Rivertown), the Back porch stage, The old west show during the train ride, and most importantly... trees. I really don't feel that "old water town" presence it once had.

I honestly don't believe the crowds would stay all night at the park. Even during Halloween Haunt on Saturdays a lot of guests never stayed until 1am.
