I caught a segment on ABC's Good Morning America this morning, featuring "Diamondback". The host, Chris Cuomo, in response to one of the other host's comment about the hyper coaster's speed (80 mph), said "How fast do they gotta make those things?" (He then seemed to also express a little 'coasterphobia'.) They discussed the coaster as being the first stadium-seating coaster, while showing the computer animation. Then they said that one will be built in Europe that will go 135 mph. Anyway It was cool to see this featured on a national news show!

The rush of the launch is similar to the Drop Tower, only horizontal, and more instantaneous. It is more fun than scary, and you might find yourself laughing more than screaming (because of the first-time experiences of the elements within the ride, which are fun.)

I'm feeling a "Dragon" vibe, or some kind of monster within the dragon "family", such as Wyvern, Griffon, Drache, or the legendary "Tiamat". -Tb, rolling a natural 20...

How many parks have had both Evel and Robbie do historic jumps in their parking lots?

^Well, you might not be able to help it if you're hungry and happen to catch the aroma of Potato Works! but seriously, when your hunger overpowers your coaster urge, that's a good time to stop and eat.

Definitely Firehawk; if you wait, you'll spend epic line time later in the day. Definitely Vortex before Beast (try to get last car). It's a blast!

It seems to me like the design of the ride makes it so that even if you were ejected from the raft, you'd still end up safely 'flushed' into the end pool.

Let me add "Timber Tower" at Dollywood to my list of craziest rides I've ever seen. What is there a huge counterweight underground or something? That thing looks nuts !

I haven't been to the waterpark in a few years, and the songs they repeated back then are still in my head It was like "Highwire" by Men at Work, then some cool "Digiridoo" techno song, "Waltzin' Matilda", some modern "Punk" sounding song, and various others.

Wow! A new coaster??? This might set off a six-thousand-post topic filled with anticipation and great expectations amid all the loving fans at KIC!!!

It would be cool if Barry Williams and/or Maureen McCormick stopped by to make the announcement I like this seemingly deliberate appearance of little bits of track in diverse places. It's like smelling the New York Strip in the kitchen, before they bring it out to be savored.
