  1. I keep referring to the rides by their "original" names, too. I can't cross over from IJST to BLSC. Can't do it. Yet.
  2. And the weather today has me in the perfect mood to see said commercial!
  3. BLSC - "Red Barchetta" by Rush Beast - "Wherever I May Roam" by Metallica AE - "Where's My Thing by Rush" (okay, I'm a Rush fan) Vortex - "La Do Da" by Journey SDATHC - ABACAB by Genesis (kinda sounds Scoobish)
  4. Wow! Awesome, Brown! First time I've seen this one... Great! It's neat to see the ol' Demon with its lights, and the tower with the red aircraft warning lights. Good to see Zodiac in motion, too! The Bat really rocked (literally!) Great post!
  5. Well, it's been awhile since I've seen KI from the south (now red) side going forward. No Zodiac. No Giant Slide. It's going to be an interesting experience.
  6. I can see where, in the era of "Hannah Montana" you might hear kids asking that question.
  7. The real power comes in having the integrity and self-reliability to NOT press the buttons if there is any doubt of safety.
  8. Hey, the video's workin'! I wonder how much down time is involved in switching the train configuration, in case the 'decision' comes after the park opens...
  9. ^LOL What, "Back Room Sock Dresser", "Lamp Tower", and "Closet1"? You know you're a KI addict if you pop in the old Paramount themes and dream of a day when CF will return nice music to International Street.
  10. ....and another Brady Bunch reunion!
  11. I'm going to Vortex: trying for another opening-day Zen ride.
  12. I joined December 16, 2004. This has been an awesome place to discuss Kings Island, and has been an amazing cure for the off-season blues! All the best! -Tb
  13. Awesome. I notice in the brochure how much of the illustrations were pen drawings, reminiscent of the era, which left a lot up to the imagination. The Fotomat page is particularly interesting: who'd have ever imagined that 30 years later, people would be snapping pictures and videos with their computerized, microelectronic, hand-held telephones! (Paging Mr. Jetson! ) Being able to flip through the old booklets is priceless! Thanks, KIC!
  14. International Street. Thanks, Angryemobeaver. I'm looking more for like is it being built on the north or south side of the fountains, what store used to be there, stuff like that. Hard to tell from the picture. -Tb
  15. The Coney midway's looking like my dad's driveway: hope they resurface it soon... [edit] the midway~dad can resurface his own driveway Where is Cinnabon being built?
  16. Vortex. Gotta get loopy right off The Bat. Then Beast.
  17. ...and eating! Don't forget eating! Mmmmmmmmmmm PotatoWorks!
  18. ^Gordon really does a great job with documenting Americana/Lesourdsville. That shot of Eagle starting to be grown over is haunting.
  19. The bird's eye shots on Live seem to be from at least 2005 (Typhoon/IJST visible, but no Firehawk).
  20. Silk-scrim projection, like the Nemo submarine attraction at Disney...?
  21. ^Not to mention Taco Bell & Ruby Tuesday's.
