  1. At least it makes a great visual scale enhancer for Diamondback's first drop!
  2. TR:TR was fun, SoB was rough. I prefer fun so it's TR:TR.
  3. It's always a blessing to see positive jobs news.
  4. Nice, relevant, fresh! This is a refreshingly ingenious and imaginary way to explore the park! Bravo!
  5. Kings Island is at rest. Go hiking.

  6. ♫♫♫ That song is stuck in your head for all day now There's one guy pining for Boomerang Bay now I think I'll put in my "Lord of the Rings" While you all post of your favorite things...
  7. I would have to say "Shake, Rattle & Roll." Countless times have I heard young guests, looking on the ride for what seems to be their first time ever, prematurely criticizing its appearance as potentially inane, or even milquetoast (in the anthropomorphic sense); only to actually ride it and discover they've been missing a diamond in the rough (so to speak). It's as fun as a Russian folk dance, and as lively as a Big Joe Turner/Bill Haley tune.
  8. ♫ ♫ ♫ Person of Interest and The Big Bang Theory That giant park on the shores of Lake Erie Spending whole days on the Island of Kings These are a few of my favorite things...
  9. Repetitive dreams about an object, person or place might reveal a desire for closure to some issue in your life. Your subconscious mind keeps taking you there, even adding details like weather conditions, so that you can discover what you need to do to resolve something you're not consciously aware of. I keep dreaming of being in Action Zone, and running into of a family from Miamisburg that I revered very much, but haven't seen in 20 years. I used to lie to them a lot about everything, and I was foolishly egotistical and narcisistic to the point of quickly overstaying my welcome (they were a perfect, Brady-bunch-like family on whose daughter I had an enormous crush, but as that wore off and I grew wiser and less naive, I realized that I loved that whole family dearly). I've never called or written to them for fear they still think I'm the dork was back then, and I keep having the dreams of visiting them again, probably because my subconscience wants me to come clean and ask their forgiveness for the lies and stuff. I think that the dreams take place at Kings Island, because the park has been the stage for dreams of mine throughout my long life.
  10. I rarely listen to broadcast radio anymore (1. Too many commercials and local DJ banter (which tends to be inane), and 2. I live under the freakin' WLW tower, which interferes with almost every station except those around 96 MHz.) It's Pandora for me, on which I have stations modeled around the musical stylings of Dave Koz, Euge Groove, The Rippingtons, Movie Soundtracks, Weezer, and some Canadian power trio out of Toronto...
  11. The Triceratops-themed Timberliner? That's terribly terrific! Talking theoretically, though, think they'll try to take that time-tested theme to the top? (This totally ties to the topic title today, too!) Thanks! ...Thoughts, Terpy? -Tb, Truly tasting the tea this Thanksgiving...
  12. Dramatic views from first drops are what I enjoy most about coasters, such as The Beast's signature hilltop panorama featuring sloping, wooded terrain, and ...the rest of the coaster!
  13. A great team of people with a heart for the guests' best interests makes this park, among others, so richly desirable a destination.
  14. Hey, now, an expansion of PotatoWorks would be awesome! I'd love to see what they can do with the concept of the curly fry... or even onion rings (I'm getting ahead of myself here)... You're right, though. I'd be happy with a dino-themed Ferris wheel myself.
  15. I once suggested dinosaurs for around the train ride. I thought it would add some value to the ride, until "Cotton Eyed Joe" came along and revamped the trains awesomeness forever.
  16. I'd like to see a week of "Wheel of Fortune" shows filmed there; that'd be neato.
  17. I made only about 4 this year. I took video during each trip, and hope to put out some more VTRs during the bluest of off-season blues.
  18. At least he didn't comlpetely transpose the vowels...
  19. Very sad, especially the Carousel. There's a palpable sense that it might take a while, if ever, to rebuild.
  20. BREAKING NEWS: Activist lawyer Scrambler has unearthed some dirt on Racer! It seems that the Wood party vice-presidential contender once actually ran backwards, and for what appears to have been a very long time! Beast campaign headquarters released a statement saying that this was "old news," and that we need to get on with tackling more important issues... Developing...
  21. "Fat pound star Woodies?" exclaimed a flabberghasted Beast... [Campaign advisor Woodstock Express whispers in candidates ear, then silence, then a loud gasp ensues...]
