^Thanks for the information Sky Flier and welcome to PKICentral! I think you misunderstood what I said, i said that I too had the current and past 2 seasons Cedar Fair hand books and the argument in questions was not about proprietary information but who has the authority within your superiors to enforce disciplinary action against the employee and we ended up getting way off topic. Anyways, thanks for posting the information and once again welcome to PKICentral!

Correct me if I'm wrong PKIVortex, but wasnt King Cobra removed quite some time, maybe even a season, before Delirium was put in? I believe it was more maintenance reasons that KC came down rather than to make room for Delirium.

I look forward to hearing this new podcast it should be awesome. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Novak this summer while he was visiting the park, he is a really great and nice guy who runs an awesome show. Best of luck to your future endeavors Clint! -
^I do indeed have the handbook and it tells you how to handle represenatives from the media, however, nothing about what you say among friends or family, and you do not sign any disclsure agreement.
-
^Incorrect, its handled on the descrition of the department lead. Having worked in rides under both Paramount parks and Cedar Fair, when employees represented themselves in an innapopropriate light on here its handled by the head manager of the rides dept or the the 2nd in command. Cedar Fair does not have a set policy in its handbook and does not have any disclosure agreements that employees can be made to sign, atleast it didnt at the time of the aquisition and will have no such agreements employees will be forced to sign this year.

I personally think SOB was a great dream and had the potential to be a great attraction yet was an idea executed poorly with the wrong company. SOB = Great idea, poor execution.

I understand, and I'm just saying you dont work for Kings Island nor know their policy with how employees post or how they regard certain posts that are deemed eligible to be on the grounds of disciplining an employee or removing an employee. What little you knwo about the Geauga Lake policy is not necesarilly the Kings Island policy and not the topic at hand.

^Good luck on a trip up there muted, CW is quite a good park. However as I know your a veteran of a certain flying coaster....you wont particuarly like their flying coaster...it doesnt have the best reputation. Make sure you give us a TR if you go and have fun dealing with the border patrol.
-
Great tripe report Avatar! That glass sculpture at the beginning of your trip report is by an artist named Dale Chihuli who does some amazing work.

^Yes they do for some park websites, however if you read what I said, I said they didnt read this site 4 years ago....because this site wasnt around 4 years ago.

Why would it be a staging area???? If it was a staging area they would of just left it up at Geauga bc they have a lot of parking lots to keep the ride. Also if they were staging the ride at ki they wouldnt keep it in the parking lot they would unload it in the junkyard areas. We are getting X flight. ^ He just thinks he know everything lol.... See Im not a TROLL! We know what we are talking about.... Way to comment on an old post. The first thing you qouted was before pictures were posted. You need something to do with your spare time. It was called a staging area by the park, they asked us to call it that so we did, they havent confirmed its x flight or if its coming to PKI, did I claim to know anything? Nope, just told what I was told, I dont make stuff up and then spread it like good olf Firehawk Rulz here. Tycoonrebel is a seasonal employee whom I worked with, is not currently employed with the park nor bound to any contractural agreements to keep a 'code of silence' in which he cant share certain information. He was recently invited back to work at the park and has broken no rules and in fact is a very good and hard working employee. Firehawk, you if your gonna lie atleast get your facts stright, the full timers didnt read this site 4 years ago when you supposidly worked at the park....they couldnt have....neither this site nor its forums were around 4 years ago. Like Tomb Raider Nick said, please do not post about things you have no knowledge about and refer to the sites Terms of Services.

In my attic somewhere my dad has a VHS tape that was the promo for Astroworlds "XLR-8" and it features many clips of The Bat. He was a former manager of astroworld, I'll try to dig it up soon.

Canada's Wonderland is definently a wonderful park. ANyone know what the real story was with Australia's wonderland? Why wasnt it made into a Paramount park?

X flight was never "slotted" for Kings Island. Vekoma developed the plans for the layout and a 2nd version of their flying dutchman. Paramount Parks had the option to exclusively purchase the rights to the 2nd layout, they expressed interest in purchasing another model for another park but did not purchase the exclusive rights to the layout. Vekoma began production of two more dutchmen, paramount parks, who was not binded to any obligation with Vekoma, backed out of purchasing another duthman. Six Flags would go on to buy two and have batwing and x flight, instead of just batwing like they originally planned. Just to clear up some popular rumors: -X flight was never slated for construction at Kings Island -Paramount parks did have interest in purchasing another duthman, yet never disclosed what park it would be for or set any concrete plans. -Kings Island never had any x flight parts on site prior to 2007 and never "sold" it or the design plans to Six Flags. Stealth, the originial protoype was supposed to be built at and marketed for PKI but park manager Tim Fischer rejected this idea to go ahead with a new wooden coaster project (which would later materialize as Son of Beast in 2000) for the new millenium. Paramount Parks then decided to build the first dutchman at Great America. When they decided to relocate it so that PGA could build its water park they planned to move it to PKI, but it was rejected once again by Tim Fischer due to escelation of the Son of Beast problems and budget costs, it went to its new and current home carowinds. It was removed from PGA so PGA could have more space, not becuase they couldn't maintain it.

Well put Railrider! For all you bitter Geauga Lake fan boys and employees who wanna come over and whine, we dont care what you have to say. Its pretty obvious the general opinion of this board is against and this community doesnt value the crap you've decided to bring with you. Go back to geaugaguide.com and keep crying about how M.C. Flash was right all along.

^I diddnt mean to imply on the youtube site that it was the pat...hence why Its called "Arrow Prototype".

Coaster Track Spotted at Kings Island!
Gordon Bombay replied to Gordon Bombay's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
^Correct the announcement will be February 3rd. Tycoonrebel, you and I have the same source....see ya in april! -
This is a thread about what a new name for X flight might be if in fact it does get re-built at Kings Island, this is not a topic about Jerry Springer. I personally would like it if they called it Stealth and painted it like how borg was painted at PGA and it went along with that whole military base theme.

Because your friend muted darkness came over here and decide to violate many T.O.S. just to start trouble so if you want the arguing to stop, he'll have to grow up and quit posting fradulent information, dont even think about arguing with this muted.

Coaster Track Spotted at Kings Island!
Gordon Bombay replied to Gordon Bombay's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
^Yeah.....the loop....that was confrimed by the newspapers and park....if your talking about the helix....gabriel saw it today. -
And you are not a mod here so dont act like one. Your not a supervisor at Geauga Lake so dont claim to be one. And we will post our negative views, you should not be trying to squelch the negative views but rather trying to to make sure what causes them doesnt happen anymore. What caused my negative views: the awful guest service....how do you correct that....stop being a moron on here and putting a bad name out for your park. You dont represent your park well on here at all so I think its best you stop posting.
-
Muted your an idiot, getting yourself into more trouble than its worth, read what you say before you contradict yourself, you claimed Paramount removed one of their flyers because they couldnt maintain it which wasnt the case. I dont have to tell Mr. Spehn what you said, I'm sure he'll read it in due time, and I'll pass on anything else youd like me to tell him since you most likely dont want to encounter him as an employee of that park anymore.

Coaster Track Spotted at Kings Island!
Gordon Bombay replied to Gordon Bombay's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
A friend of mine called me from Michigan today (he lives in Detroit) and said he believes theyre just storing it down here till the land at Michigans Advneture is read!? Ha! Why would they move it further down south to store it? Man, I think anyone who believes that theory is pretty stupid or that theyve fallen and cant get up. -
Get your facts stright muted, PGA removed Stealth becuase they were land locked, not since they couldnt maintain it. They needed the room to build a water park not because of maintenace issues. Oh and I have talked to Mr. Bill Spehn both at Geauga Lake and through email....speaking of you....I wanted to point out to him in our last cooerspondence how well (not!) you represent your company on the internet.
