  1. http://www.Firehawk.org/ http://www.Firehawkhelicopters.com/ http://www.wolfeden.org/Firehawk/whatis.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firehawk Firestone also owns a trade mark for its tires, i dont thinK GM would be amused if CF called it this.
  2. No offense shaman, I respect you and somewhat know who you are and that you are crdible however, I could whip out my credit card right now and purchase the trade marks to "Firehawk" and completely tick off CF if they're planning to call it that.
  3. ^They also did the supports for most Arrow coasters as well as supports for North American Vekomas and other arrow products such as log flumes.
  4. If that is in reference to me I think you better check out who you are talking about. There are many people one this site who know me and will back up the fact that the information I have provided in the years that I have been on both this site and the old PKIU have been accurate and factual. I for one can back up Shman.
  5. ^Good to hear, thats the one I always pass by and eat at on my way to Indiana. Unfortuanently I dont go to Angola anymore and rarely pass through van wert on the way to indy or fort wayne. Great place though!
  6. The parade would be a huge hit once again if it returned to KI. Looks like Carowinds is getting an ice show as well as the parade.
  7. ^Probably a pleasant one considering Ill walk through the main gates and be greeted with a flying coaster unlike at that other surprise park this season.
  8. Yeah reminds me of the Geauga Lake brochure I have sitting in this box, where carowinds has "2 PARKS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!" they have "WHAT A SURPRISE".......and yes what a surprise Geauga Lake was this year....a dissapoitning one that is.
  9. Yeah but if KECO had put in FOF and called it Wild Animal Habitat carts supervisor the ride....then woofer would like it.
  10. most kids 6 years and up are tall enough to ride costers such as iron dragon and a couple others, under 6 the other rides should be pretty fun Just because they're tall enough doesnt mean they want to ride it, I could ride The Beast at age 7...did I wanna try that? No. I didnt ride The Beast till I was 12 when I finnaly got over my fear of coasters. Plus there needs to be a variety for everyone. Grandparents want to take thier grand children to the park and share the day with them....I think theyd prefer more gentle rides as opposed to Iron Dragaon....and what about children with special needs....they may be tall enough for Iron Dragon but who knows if their condition permits them. Your argument is flawed and invalid.
  11. I don't think they ever have said that Maverick was intended for the family? Also, by the looks of things, I'd say its safe to assume that PLENTY of families make the trek to the Point. Honestly, I feel they have more to offer in terms of family attractions than PKI does. The Point still has an outstanding collection of flat rides, most of which are very much family friendly. PKI's family friendly caters more to little kids......leaving the older kids out in the cold.....of course Avatar would be the exception to this. I think the Point has a well rounded selection and should change nothing in the way they are doing things. I'm still trying to figure out why they should get decent guest relating employees? I went to the Point way more than PKI last season and I've always had great experiences there...... - Todd Sure CP is a great park, dont get me wrong, I absolutely love it and enjoy it but its not geared towards the family in any way. Yeah they have some great flats but its only for the family if all your kids are over the age of 12. They claim to have two kiddy sections but in all honesty Wonder Park in the Cincinnati mills mall has more stuff for the younger kids. IMHO KI has a more well rounded selection. I've had great experiences with their rides and merchandise employees but Guest Relations was a pain to deal with when I went, quite the opposite at GL for me....at GL guest relations was great while thier rides employees for the most part were pretty lack luster. Flightofear1996, CP doesnt outsource most of their jobs, they're not sending any positions over seas. The jobs are still there, and yes many international workers come to work there, however they are not the majority in the park.
  12. Why do people think this is going to be a family coaster? 70 m.p.h., two launches of that caliber, inversions, insane drops, and an intense lay out. Sounds like a great coaster sure, but it seems like they still think they can build the thrill seekers delight and expect families to come. Cedar Point heres a hint....you want families to come....actually build some rides for the kids and get some decent guest relation employees.
  13. When myself Dane, Ryan, and Bill went to the grand opening festivities the slide ran only a little bit in the morning then didnt start running untill about 7 P.M. We went up last tuesday for dinner and the slide was running but it had men in Pro Slide uniforms checking it out.
  14. I havent seen a fire works show at Kings Island that really lifted me up or stunned me in a long time. Even at the recent nights of fire the past years I've felt they've been a little lack luster. When I was 15 and went to WDW the first time I was just as moved and amazed as my 3 year old cousin at how well executed and exciting thier fireworks show in the magic kingdom was. PKI also tried to be way too politically correct with their event this year. The word "God" was removed from every song it once contained, including the pledge of allegiance. Now, I'm not particuarly religous or bible thumping in any sense, and I dont want to start a debate on God in the pledge but I dont think most Americans really care its there and right now its still part of the pledge of allegiance and in all honesty you could tell it was poorly edited out and ruined the momentum of the music it was set to. They also removed the word from Lee Greenwoods proud to be an American song and it too was poorly done, the editing that is.
  15. The Dayton Daily News is by far one of the worst newspapers I've ever seen, its ridiculous how innacurate they always seem to be. Their only re-deeming quality is that awesome building they have. I hope its just poor leadership at the Dayton Daily News and not Cox news service who causes the trouble. The Hamilton-Journal news in the town next to me is much smaller than Dayton and has a much better paper yet theyre owned by the same company. I really hope someone from DDN sees this and realises a lot of peeople are not happy with the news paper. I'd even venture to say that Dayton's local news is worse than cincinnati's/ Not that I have a vendetta against dayton or anything, but both cities have horrible local news teams. I hear more about their stupid "consumer reports" or as I call them: "vein attempts to get cash quick" than I do about any real local news.
  16. So is this the same pro slide thing the GWL and Disney have....just its seats one more person?
  17. How tall was the one at Americana in comparrison to the one KI had before it was scrappys slide?
  18. Keep in mind guys....the announcement is still a week from this coming monday...and it has not been confirmed that NEW trains are coming. Its not impossible, but its also plausible to retro-fit the current ones. We'll find out on the 5th though.
  19. ^Ill cut them some slack, a lot of things they just didnt have the budget for, but most of the time things didnt get fixed due to poor leadership and laziness.
  20. Fog did interfere with the sensors, however that problem could be corrected, tech services just didnt care to correct it.
  21. Klockster and I had planned to make the movie at the park and surrounding areas in Cincy and have it done by August but both he and I became bogged down with our jobs at the park in the early season and had trouble meeting up and organizing the other people involved. Klockster eventually let the park for better oppourtunities at his other job and with more responsibilities came less time. I continued to work at the park and eventualy returned to retail when the season ended, we just didnt have the time or the resources and I was bogged down with work and a lot of other projects, so sorry....no indy and the acers....atleast not for awhile if ever....however.....The Coasters of Kings Island PKIC feature is on the horizon and is guaranteed to blow your mind.
