Rode salt and wasn't able to spin it at all. I'm sure they are governing the barrels because of some safety issue but I agree they all need to be adjusted as the manual spinning of the barrels help with re-ridability. My 10 year old grandson was so upset he couldn't spin the barrel to try and make grandpa dizzy The ride overall is good and a needed addition but for those of us that remember Keggers, Loco is no Keggers. First, keggers had 3 turn tables of 6 barrels each along with the "tilt" of the table itself. Most importantly they were easy to spin. I remebmer spinning them so fast it was a challenge to sit up and the only reason I could was because I was holding on spinning the barrel. You can see it in action here:

Watched the show toinight (Saturday, May 27th) and was overall impressed. Pretty much what I expected as a toned down version of FFF (which it should be concerning the FFF was for the 50th and what they do now looks much more substainable for years to come). Love the concept the original music and the lazers which have a fantastic effect when shown through the fountain plumes. It is tuely beautiful. Also the lights in the fountains seem to be hilighted more with colors and synch with the show. The only thing I would suggest is one or two more drone formations. Seems like the go to the "generic fireworks". Hopefully this will change as they make changes to the show and add different things to the drone show (like an AE logo as suggested in this post). They did do changes last year as the summer went on. Finally about 2/3 or 3/4 of the way through the show there seemed to be a partial power outage. All things Adventure Awaits releated went out and I street went black. The usual building lights stayed on so it wasn't completely dark but the fountains, lazers and music all went out. Fireworks and Drones went on like nothing happened. I'm sure they'll fix the issue before tonights show and what I did get to see was fantastic. Amazing job again, glad to see the the drones will be a part of the show after FFF and it was nice to see new drone formations as well as some favorites from last year. Well done again KI. Don't forget to flip that breaker back before tonights show

That would be episode 28, Jan 17,2023. I always listen (watch) the podcast on youtube. It's really well done and very informative. Ryan and Don do a fantastic job.

I believe it's part of the theming. Sol is an ancient Roman god personifying the sun (short for solomon) hence the yellow and oragne colors.

Thanks but was more looking for the times.

Any word on times for Phantom??? Can't wait for the opening show.

Except on Sunday's. It was such a waste to have a kitchen and staff that are not available on one a busy weekend day. I won't miss them, I found Chicken shack to be a good substitute plus they have wings.

King Cobra's seats did have a "give" to them to. It was most noticable in the loop. The seat would lower a little where your knees would bend. Of course this may have also been due to the forces experienced during the loop.

Yes it was as well as before Paramount.

That was my thinking as well. If memory serves the have the same temp fencing there as well along with a security person standing guard.

Fountains are back to full bloom. Made a point of looking for that on Saturday.

Sorry BeastFarmer, I actually meant to quote SonOfBaconator's post not yours. Just to point out that some were getting 2. I understood (and appreciated) the jest!

Sorry, I should have been more clear, yes they did have shredded chesse but I was looking for melted cheese to help keep the temperature up. Weird to have hot protien and then cold salsa on top of it. At least the melted cheese would help heat up the salsa when put on top. As far as the portion on the beef, I got 3 slices and was fine with it. It is nice to have a "lighter" option that lands between the 1/2 chicken and Coney BBQ and the French Corner. Especially when the quality is there.

I have seen people get two pieces of chicken. Not sure but it may be a choice of 1 leg or 2 other pieces? Either way rather strange that you can get 1 leg here or a half chicken at Coney BBQ. Not that I'm expecting a half chicken at Grain but you would think 2 pieces would be sufficient. Hopefully it's just a training issue. It is looking more obvious that choices are being made (only cheese at Enriques at an upcharge, less cheese at Skyline) to help the food budget. More and more people are getting the season dining plan, may be time to raise the price next year due to supply and demand the way they did with gold passes this year.

Tried Enrique’s and was a little dissapointed the only cheese option was the Queso and it was and additional $3 so I passed. $2 maybe (like the upcharge for sides at Tom & Chee) but just couldn't pull the trigger at the $3 mark. I believe they had 2 or more options last year, but I could be wrong. Did the Shrimp, Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts (Paid the extra, I'm hooked) and the naan. As mentioned previously the potatoes are excellent and had a little kick to them. Grain & Grill is definietly a fantastic addition. I checked and you may get 2 sides in place of the protien on the meal plan. Might do that to try some more of what they have to offer. The line at Skyline was very long. Again, I don't think it's the staff, but the fact that it is so popular (especially with kids). My grandchildren would always get the kidde dog meal when they were tired of pizza. Really hope they re-consider and move Tom & Chee to the old Subway building and put another Skyline where Tom & Chee is now. Didn't notice a long line all day for Tom & Chee. Juke Box Diner on the other had and a line out the door (again). That place is conistantly busy. People are loving what they are selling and willing to wait for it so cudo's to them! Finally Sweet Spot is really hitting it's stride. The Confetti Cookies are amazing. Also found out that the crew at Sweet Spot are doing all the deserts for the park. I'm finding myself spending money there on the way home.

Had the beef, brussel sprouts and garlic naan. Fantastic! The brussel sprouts are like CP's definitely a favorite.

Last picture of ID showed the track back in place and a car on the transfer track. -
It will be interesting how having only 1 Skyline is received. The Bengals just named Skyline their official chili which will add to it's popularity especially with out of town guests who are fans fo the Bengals. In my opinion if they knew Subway was going away they should have moved Tom & Chee there and used the old Chick building for another Skyline location. Maybe this is something they can do for next year if the demand is there this season. IS Skyline ALWAYS had a line especially at the end of the night. With a location at the old Chick building they could have absorbed that business in much the same way. We'll have to wait and see.....

Wouldn't advise it after what happended to the last one over the 2020 season passes. Would only be a waste of time and money. I made the decision to wait and see how it went the first year before making a decison on next season. I believe the intention was right, but just gave the impression of a money grab by the park to me. I guess next they will have the Super Presetige Pass and then in 2050 the Super Duper Prestige Pass. In my opinion, Regular, Gold and Platinum are just fine. They should treat the Singe Use Fast Lane pass as an add-on. In other words you pay for the addition of 1 Single Use Fast Lane Pass per visit and add it to your pass (like you do with Fun Pix, the drink plan or the dining plan). Same thing could be done with the VIP and other perks like parking, etc. That way people can pick and choose what is the best value for them. It would be easier to assess what people are wanting. It's a $210 difference between Gold and Prestige. Not alot of people would go for that, but if it was $75-$100 to add a single use Fast Lane Pass per visit to the Gold card, I think that would sell. Maybe $50 - $75 for the preferred parking add-on. In my opinion that strategy would not only make it easer to know what you're getting, but also would potentially bring more targeted value for the consumer and more money for the park in the end.

The show by FAR had the longest lines for the last 2 shows of ANY show at Kings Island. The lines streached to Delerium on one side and the Main gate on the other. Looking forward to seeing again. (Plus it was 4th in the Golden Ticket for Shows last year.

Seems as though the view on the I street cam zoomed in a bit (can no longer see the top of the tower).

Absolutely fine with the line up. Reminds me of the old days when shows would get 2-year runs. However, back in the day the shows were staggered so every year there was a new show or two. Made it easier for creative to come up with one or two new shows a year rather than all of them at once. Maybe they'll get back to that rotation, it gave the regulars something new to look forward to show-wise every year.
