The info for my pass in the KI app is saying I don't have a dining plan either. Fortunately the receipt in the payment portal and the details for my initial PayPal payment both show that I purchased dining, so I have proof if need be.

Gold & Platinum Pass Exclusive Preview Night 04/15/16 (5-10 p.m)
Oldiesmann replied to Melody's topic in Kings Island
Looking forward to seeing everyone and getting to ride things again. I just hope the weather warms up a bit by then as it's supposed to be in the mid to upper 50s for the next several days. -
Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?
Oldiesmann replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
How much longer are they going to allow the trustees to stall things before they say "you have to pay up now"? -

I'm surprised they aren't doing a country music show this year. Not that I really cared for it (the country show I saw at CP, with a live band, was far better), but it just seems to be something they do every year. Looking forward to the new Cirque show as well as the dog show.

Strickers Grove's Teddy Bear
Oldiesmann replied to ZosoBeast's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Speaking of which, they open for the season tomorrow. I need to hit them up either tomorrow or Tuesday (I'm off on Tuesday), especially given that they're literally less than 15 minutes from my house. -

They're not entirely close - about a 30-mile trip between the two - but close enough that you can do both in one day easily. -

Also note that the park hours on that page are off by 4 hours. The park always opens an hour before rides and closes at the same time the rides do. I will definitely try to get up there during the fair this year. That's also the week before my big vacation so theoretically if I cram a KI trip in there somewhere I can hit 4 parks in a week's time -
There's an extra space of some sort at the end. This should work: https://www.instagram.com/p/BDbWd8IulAH/

It used to feel much more like a town, especially before Diamondback. There was a small outdoor stage (where the country shows were prior to moving to Festhaus), a lake, a lot more trees... It was a much different area.

Probably an error while testing the sign-up/ticket-purchasing process... -
Not sure if it's the same on iOS, but on Android, just tap the arrow at the top right of the post and there will be a "Copy Link" option in the menu.

Looking through old posts here, it appears Cedar Point was the first park in the chain (as well as the first amusement park period, according to a WKYC article at the time) to be certified StormReady. I thought KI was certified a few years ago as well but maybe we're all wrong about that.

And they're a local company - based in Newport, Kentucky.

Former SFNO May Be Sold
Oldiesmann replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Geauga Lake didn't get hit with a major hurricane though so I'd imagine SFNO is even worse. -
It's likely in the same place it's always been. It wouldn't make sense to have two of those so close to one another.

RCDB says 2000 riders per hour. I'm not sure how accurate that is though, considering the same site lists Banshee at 1650 and Beast at 1200.

Also... 1. You're not pulled down. It's a freefall (at least until you hit the brakes). 2. 65mph is nowhere near the speed of gravity. According to various sources, the speed of gravity is the same as the speed of light (see https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn3232-first-speed-of-gravity-measurement-revealed/ for more details).
