  1. There's an extra space of some sort at the end. This should work: https://www.instagram.com/p/BDbWd8IulAH/
  2. It used to feel much more like a town, especially before Diamondback. There was a small outdoor stage (where the country shows were prior to moving to Festhaus), a lake, a lot more trees... It was a much different area.
  3. Probably an error while testing the sign-up/ticket-purchasing process...
  4. Not sure if it's the same on iOS, but on Android, just tap the arrow at the top right of the post and there will be a "Copy Link" option in the menu.
  5. Here's a link to the tweet in question: https://twitter.com/kigamesdept/status/710452858785800194
  6. When it's 72 on Tuesday and they're calling for possible snowflakes on Sunday then rain and 68 the following Wednesday.
  7. Looking through old posts here, it appears Cedar Point was the first park in the chain (as well as the first amusement park period, according to a WKYC article at the time) to be certified StormReady. I thought KI was certified a few years ago as well but maybe we're all wrong about that.
  8. And they're a local company - based in Newport, Kentucky.
  9. That's being discussed in the 2016 Season topic
  10. Geauga Lake didn't get hit with a major hurricane though so I'd imagine SFNO is even worse.
  11. It's likely in the same place it's always been. It wouldn't make sense to have two of those so close to one another.
  12. RCDB says 2000 riders per hour. I'm not sure how accurate that is though, considering the same site lists Banshee at 1650 and Beast at 1200.
  13. Also... 1. You're not pulled down. It's a freefall (at least until you hit the brakes). 2. 65mph is nowhere near the speed of gravity. According to various sources, the speed of gravity is the same as the speed of light (see https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn3232-first-speed-of-gravity-measurement-revealed/ for more details).
  14. There weren't anywhere near that many animals last year as I recall.
  15. Last time KK tried to compete with KI we ended up with Action Zone. Granted, that was under a company which likely had a much larger budget, possibly during better economic times, but still.
  16. That VR app has been around since a few days before Valravn was announced. I am hoping CP updates their mobile app to include the interactive map like KI's has too.
  17. Am I the only one who misses the days of interactive park maps on the website?
  18. I guess they didn't use that account too much before going with whatever their now-previous one was.
  19. Found a post from TDOT on their Facebook page from this afternoon saying it would reopen at 9pm tonight: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=10153450618572551&id=79232382550
  20. WCPO just mentioned on the 11:00 news that I-75 South is reopen in this area now, though I can't find any confirmation on that (closest I found was an article from WKYT saying it was expected to reopen tonight).
  21. http://www.mdjonline.com/view/full_story_no/27113363/article-Authorities-say-skateboarders-caused-%2420-000-in-damages-at-Six-Flags
  22. Latest update as of this past Wednesday: http://www.tn.gov/tdot/news/i-75-north-back-open-to-local-traffic-at-exit-141-in-campbell-county Southbound expected to be opened on/before March 17th (a week from Thursday) One lane northbound expected to be opened on/before March 24th Entire project expected to be completed by April 15th
  23. It's definitely interesting that few coasters these days even come close to the stats of Son of Beast. Interestingly enough, the only currently-operating coaster that comes close to matching Son of Beast in terms of height, speed and length opened just one year later at Heide Park in Germany and was built by Intamin. Colossos is 197 feet tall, has a top speed of 68.4mph and a length of a little over 4400 feet. Even then, nobody else has dared to go higher or faster.
  24. Looks like it was David Mandt at the time: http://www.enquirer.com/editions/1999/08/26/loc_kings_island_taking.html - mentioned as KI spokesperson in 1999 Further research indicates he later went on to a similar role at Carowinds in 2003, then VP of Communications for the IAAPA in 2006.
