  1. It's highly unlikely the individual will ever be found. There were multiple reports of gunfire in the area, and they have no info on which direction the bullet came from relative to where she was standing. Plus, people who do things that are illegal often don't come forward and admit to their crimes.
  2. I didn't even know Heinz made mustard :|
  3. I remember the vine tunnel vaguely. I remember Boulder Bumpers and Smurfs. By the time I was born, Scooby Doo was known as Beastie.
  4. It could happen, depending on the speed and angle of the bullet.
  5. Maybe they're taking lessons from the "being first is better than being accurate" news media of today?
  6. The "we're not responsible for typos" policy is for the store's own protection, not because they want to be mean to consumers while cutting corners during the printing process. Several years ago, Sears inadvertently listed the then-$745 iPad 2 for $69 in their ad. Had they actually honored that price, not only would they have lost a lot of money, they likely would have been the recipient of lawsuits from competitors and/or friendly notices from Apple's lawyers.
  7. The mobile store certainly looks much more modern than in previous years. The mobile site however leaves a lot to be desired. It's really sad that Holiday World's website uses modern design techniques that allows it to work fine on devices of all sizes, both desktop and mobile, without the need for a separate mobile site. A small park with a much smaller IT budget. Pathetic. Hopefully things will change for CF in the coming months.
  8. QSL has a large variety of food - chicken, burgers, steaks, salad... The wings and sauces are of course their main "claim to fame". I ate at the one in Polaris (north of Columbus) with some friends years ago, and the food was pretty good as I recall. At the time, their hottest sauce was "Atomic". The sauce I got was mild compared to that (a mixture of BBQ and Tobasco sauces), and even that was too hot for me. They now have 3 locations in Cincinnati - Northgate, Florence and Milford. For those who are more "adventurous", they have the "Atomic Wings Challenge" and "Triple Atomic Wings Challenge", in which you have to down 6 wings slathered in their hottest sauces. Those who are successful get their name on a "wall of fame" at the restaurant as well as a commemorative t-shirt.
  9. The park doesn't seem to be interested in responding either way. At least one person has posted on their Facebook page about it, and the page has been tagged in various posts about it.
  10. Coaster Nation is also reporting on this now and has apparently gotten confirmation from "a park employee". Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  11. I learned "bigger doesn't mean better" when I visited Camden several years ago. The small Spider ride they had there was so much more intense than Monster. It's a shame it isn't there anymore, but it sounds like it was past its prime and/or wasn't well-maintained.
  12. He's citing Screamscape as the source. Even if he does have connections, Screamscape is not a reliable source of information.Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  13. Screamscape has a history of retroactively editing and/or deleting information if the stories on their site don't match the facts. Even if that weren't the case, I find it quite suspicious that a park would tell a fan site that a rumor is true prior to making a public announcement. I am also quite disappointed in TPR at this point. Robb Alvey of all people should know better.
  14. Screamscape has posted a rumor that Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa will be closing in February: http://screamscape.com/html/busch_gardens_tampa.htm (And yes, I said "rumor". Lance can call it confirmed all he wants, but the park has yet to publicly acknowledge this...).
  15. Also note that there was a push by some lawmakers to increase Kentucky's minimum wage to $10.10 an hour (by July 2016) earlier this year, but it appears that bill died in the Kentucky Senate at some point.
  16. Not only would it be quite expensive, I imagine local residents would complain about the noise from the planes, and there really isn't a lot of room to land a hot air balloon up there now (though there is a place on 741 near Springboro that does balloon tours).
  17. Hopefully they won't be stupid enough to shut down part of the freeway there for a year. I've heard that DC traffic is bad enough as it is right now due to a lack of good alternative transportation for those commuting from the suburbs.
  18. I've seen the signs and drove by it once to see where it was, but have never been in there. Maybe I'll check it out sometime. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  19. http://www.eagleswingszipline.com/ Has anyone here ever done this? I'm starting to plan for my trip to Holiwood Nights in May already, and am thinking about squeezing that in on Friday before the event since I should have a few hours to kill before the event (I will be leaving mid-day Friday so I don't want to spend an extra $21 for a few extra hours in the park on Friday when I can spend $26 to spend all day Sunday in the park instead). It's a tad bit pricey ($45 or $69 depending on the option you choose), but it sounds like a lot of fun and I've never done ziplines before. Also, on a related note, if anyone would be interested in splitting the cost of a cabin at Lake Rudolph for the event, let me know. I know the event isn't until May, but I'd like to get lodging booked soon so I can get something close to the park.
  20. You state they own many luxury apartments and condos Then state the closest to KI, runs about $895/month. I don't know much about rental rates in Cincinnati, but that hardly sounds like a "luxury" rate. Being unfamiliar with the area you quoted, I don't know how far away from KI it is, or if it's location is less desirable. It's about a mile from the park. The website for the property calls them "resort style" apartments, so I assumed it was luxury. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  21. Towne Properties is a fairly well known company in this area. They do own many luxury apartment and condo developments, the closest to KI being the Falls at Landen subdivision off Columbia south of Socialville-Foster. Plans there start at $895 a month for 890 square feet. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  22. I really hope someone finds a better use for that property. There's already plenty of housing in the area, and adding it there would only create more traffic headaches.
  23. As far as the configuration goes - from looking at the pictures, it would appear that the lanes at Beach Mountain are shorter and less steep than the ones at Perfect North. I haven't been to Beach Mountain yet, and haven't been to Perfect North in a few years. Perfect North also boasts that they have 23 tubing lanes, and you can start from two locations (halfway up or all the way up depending on your thrill level). I'm not sure what the deal is as far as ticketing goes. Your best bet there would be to contact them at the number listed on the bottom of the ticket page.
  24. Wait, you mean there's still a MySpace out there? Interesting... It does still exist, but not in its original form. It's now owned by Specific Media, LLC and Justin Timberlake, and has a strong emphasis on music (it was relaunched as the "new" Myspace several years ago). Not really all that interesting in my opinion though.
