  1. I also can see the value of using Snoopy to attract the younger guests. Snoopy has a couple holiday specials out at that time of year and maybe I’m wrong but I don’t believe any of the Nickelodeon Characters have their own Holiday Show.

  3. I'm glad you had a good weekend I don't know how we missed you on Sunday. Anyone who makes Avatar their first ride for the day is some one that has their priorities straight. Thanks for the report see ya next year.
  4. Here I’ll make it easy for you. Click picture for a larger view
  5. On the last Beast ride when the train was coming back into the station a loud chant broke out from the back of the train and worked it’s way forward. It went like this Clap..clap…..clap.clap.clap Bring..back….Winterfest! And continued to repeat it’s self over and over.
  6. Robbie (CoastersRZ) noticed this on Sunday at the meet-up and pointed it out to us if I remember right it is in the area that is circled in yellow and there is some dirt piles in that area along with some soil sample equipment. It sits right behind and across the road from the helicopter pad. Clickon picture for larger view Several of us who were discussing what they could possibly be doing in that area could not help in noticing that there are several storage buildings located in that area. Me personally would think it’s going to be another restricted area building used for their needs for storage or your guess would be as good as any.
  7. I would be just guessing, but In my opinion the guaranteed buy out would seem like a good choice verses taking a chance with the weather and the fact that most families are tying to get their kids back into a routine and may not elect to come at that time.
  8. It’s always nice to get them done before the Holiday. I think for still shot pictures incorporated in to a video you did an excellent job. I do love the music choice too, the strings really keep it going almost like a March, but also they add a creepy feel to it in parts of the song. After watching it a couple times it kind of puts you in that Halloween mood. Thanks P.S. I did what you said and gave your video a good review now can you send me those cheat sheets like you promised.
  9. I myself actually go through the main page first so that I can see if a new story or any breaking news is happing that the Administrators want to pass onto us.
  10. WooferBearATL and The Interpreter; I always enjoy you guys links to articles with factual news relating to various issues of the Parks. It helps me have a better understanding on what’s really going on and not what someone else perceives is going on intentionally or not. Keep up the great work it’s appreciated.
  11. I think most guest have got used to the buyouts to be in September and if they changed, it would be confusing to the average guests to which weekends were open and which ones were not. Plus September has typically been a slow month for Amusement/Theme Parks and probably offer a discount during that month which I’m sure works for both parties involved.
  12. I really like the idea of having more than one story on the front page. I think it would benefit the casual viewer the most because most of us regulars usually catch anything new within hours of its release on the site. In my opinion I could see more casual viewers and first time users going to the front page more often to keep current without needing to dig through old threads. The Gold Club news letter used titles to link you to a relevant stories either by linking to another page or it linked you further down in the page for a more complete article of that subject. Would the style of the front page articles be similar to that?
  13. Someone said you and your family was there yesterday I was hopping that we could have ran across you to at least say hi and add another face to the name. Sounds like Toddler Chef is growing and doing more, it won’t be to long now before he starts posting here too!!
  14. marlfox_21; I hope all is going well for you down there it’s good to hear you still have time to take in area attractions down there in Florida. I enjoyed reading trip report and hope when you visit other parks that you can keep us updated and the inside scoop. I saw Captain Picard and his wife at the meet up last Sunday at KI and they were telling about all the special haunts at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal as they just got back too. I was hinting to Ryan that maybe next fall but most likely in two years we should put together a trip and come down there to get some new thrills and haunts in. Well see!!
  15. Yes that is were I’m having difficulties with the new board too. I have got into a bad habit in hitting the refresh button and looking for a darker shaded area to see if there are any new post in that Forum. I have the same Invision Board for my own personal use for my family and business and I do know that there are a lot of skin available out there for a fee. From what I can see from the past Dane is talented enough to create his own skins and as we have witnessed in the past seems to go that way for uniqueness. That process does take time to do especially if you have a life outside running an internet board. If we know anything about Dane; we could probably assume he’s probably deep in the process of creating a new skin for the site.
  16. I agree it has been an eventful year, with many changes. I can say that I have enjoyed this year immensely. Sharing a new Nickelodeon area on Easter with my daughter, a great nights of fire weekend and helping with a commercial shoot for Fear Fest, has been a season that I can only wish and hope for. But it has turned out to be so much more than that. The best part of the PKI experience was joining PKICentral and sharing in the love and enjoyment of PKI with other enthusiast. By doing that I have learned so much about the Park and best of all meeting so many fellow members. I enjoyed the chats, debates and the great humor ribbings that we have shared together. I would like to add that as Ryan has said in his post that so much more is coming and that 2007 will have all the excitement opportunities as the 2006 season has had. So for all the guest and those who view from the side I suggest that now would be a good time to join and to get involved. Today was another great day at PKI and with PKICentral I got to meet back up and hang out with some fellow members that I consider friends. Your welcome CoasterRZ thanks for going with Ronny and me. I don’t know how to top going down the Skyflier for your first time with 2 moderators, except of course doing it while Maureen Kaiser is standing by to cheer us on! I am really looking forward to next year but I don’t want to miss visiting my fellow members during the off season, so I’ll see you all around.
  17. Be carefull Bill, It sounds like a set-up to me! Well that means I'm going somebodys got to keep an eye on these guys.
  18. Sounds like you ladies really had a great time. I’m worried for Frankenstein in your pictures. A lot of guest are so worried about doing every attraction that the miss the spontaneity of the adventure. Thanks for sharing your evening with us.
  19. Ronny; I know a little about the great lengths that you went through to get to this point. I am impressed with you talking the time to do a top notch video. Keep up the great work I look forward to the finished product. Also if you decide to go ahead with a DVD please put me down for a copy.
  20. I enjoy all your guys FearFest videos keep up the great work!
  21. Good find CoasterRZ; sounds like Cedar Fair have decided to take a fresh approach with all their parks. I like it that they have decided to break the parks into regions. Also adding the word Entertainment to their title says to me that they look at them selves more than just Amusements.
  22. As long as everyone stays on their medications there will be no freaking out!!
  23. Yes I agree, I struggle a lot from were enough political correctness is to much. I personally don’t think the Mental Illness is a politically correct matter though, but more of a compassionate issue. It has definitely made me listen better to others plights. As a society when informed and educated on certain issues we may choose to alter or ways or we may feel to much innocents and traditions would be compromised to change. But we will be better off, at least be more aware of ourselves. I am to close to this issue to give a real unbiased opinion but I can at least give a point of view from one side of the issue and shine more light on the understanding of why NAMI is doing what they have been doing. Thanks for your honest reply I appreciate it a lot.
  24. PLEASE FOR ME READ ALL THE WAY TO THE END. Thanks Avatar .I for one am glad that this thread was started and no one should be afraid to talk about this issue or give their opinion about it. I can almost guarantee that most people who have or know someone who has mental illness would rather have an opportunity to enlighten the genial public of the wild myths that surround the issue. NAMI doesn’t want to take away fun activities from people and you will never see them engaging in protest or any other kind of civil disobedience. But they will try to educate Government, Business and the general public at times that they may be a little insensitive to an issue that they may not been aware that they are doing. The Jaycees didn’t mean any harm and I don’t think they made anybody mad; I do though applaud them for caring enough to make some changes to some areas of their event that really was a classy act on their part. I would say that about 90+ % of mental consumers are only medicated and are living semi normal lives. A lot of consumers carry out very normal lives and work regular and professional jobs. It’s when they stop tacking their medications that they lose control and are often times paranoid. When they are in this state they truly can’t control their actions, but have said that they are educated and preached to that they are responsible if they knowingly stop taking their medications with the knowledge that they could lose control because of it. So now understand that a lot of consumers have gone to treatment centers while not being medicated. They are very scared they are mad and they are extremely paranoid. They only have a general perception of where they are going and Hollywood has helped a more scary image of it They really only get minimal treatment and very little education from the Medical Centers, then they are referred to outside assistance. So let’s fast forward a little. The consumer is taking his medications and not had any relapses in years. They attend an event and part of it portrays the illness in a scary manor that really forces them into flash backs of an very trying time in their life and from my personal experience it’s at best an awkward moment. No one I have met or talked to get upsets or angry about the events but just wished that more people realized how many affected people (consumers & non-consumers) are passing by with hurt in their hearts. Please understand that there are millions of consumers in the United States and they live, work and play right beside us. Nobody really talks about it and the consumers and the families of consumer often conceal it to others out of fear. Most people have no clue how wide spread this is, just look around it is right there, but we don’t like to talk about it. NAMI has given me such great hope that I try were I can to help make everyone more aware. Because of my openness a lot of people have contacted me to get help, show support or to share a personal story with me.
  25. Funny this topic about the campground; I suggested to my wife this weekend that maybe we should sell the sailboat and buy a RV. Wife then said that would be nice especially when we go to Kings Island, I had to explain to her that the campgrounds doesn’t currently exist.
