  1. I miss the following: in order of importance: 1. PHANTOM THEATER 2. The Hanna-Barbera characters at the front gate and elsewhere in the park. 3. Graveyard Shift - it was the best show I ever saw at PKI. 4. The LIVE Scooby Doo shows. 5. The Star Trek characters - wouldn't they fit in great with "The best of Hollywood entertainment now playing" 6. 007 at the FX Theater. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  2. Truthfully, this is an intellectual exercise. None of us knows to whom and when Viacom will sell PKI (and her sisters). None of us knows the circumstances of the sale - including rights to trademarks and price. None of us knows how a new compnay would operate Kings Island. We really, really don't know. So we speculate, argue, debate, and at times insult each other. But the truth is that none of us can really predict the future. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  3. Doubtful. My son Nino's 1st birthday is on Thursday, 3/31. His party is Friday night, 4/1. I need to take him to the pediatrician and one of my cats to the vet on Saturday, 4/2. The only hope I have for PKI is Sunday, 4/3. We'll see. May the Force Be with you, Italian Chef PS - The Force is with me, but I am not a Jedi yet.

I agree 100% that a Kings Island Museum should be created. In addition to having parts and props from former rides and shops, it can have pictures, too. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef
  5. I voted for Festhaus because it offers the widest selection of foods, has indoor bathrooms, indoor tables - and even hosted a FearFest show! Have a great weekend! Italian Chef
  6. I saw The Brady Bunch episode at Kings Island on TV Land - and was lucky enough to record it! It was filmed in 1972, the year I was born. *L* And I purchased The Partridge Family episode from www.bestbuy.com. The Bradys spent a little time at The Kings Island Inn and most the time at the park. The Partridge Family spent way more time at the resort than the Bradys. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  7. If the Great Wolf Lodge is built as proposed, it will have a sizeable convention center. Which of the choices that I listed for a convention most appeals to you? Have a great day! Italian Chef

Thank you Jasper. I do appreciate the compliment. Sincerely, Italian Chef

www.orangefrazer.com www.amazon.com It was sold at the park and book stores throughout the tri-state last year and the year before. However, I doubt the bookstores still stock it because it's a summer item. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef

PKI has something that Cedar Point doesn't have, an unofficial guidebook, which I authored. It came out in 2003 and is named "The Unofficial Guidebook to Paramount's Kings Island" - Orange Frazer Press. Author and attorney Charles Jacques, who wrote the History of Coney Island Book, is writing a HISTORY BOOK ABOUT Kings Island. However, it was due out 2 years ago, so he is obviously a little late. As of last year, Mr. Jacques was still collecting data. So, you need not worry. PKI has a guidebook AND will have a history book in due time. Have a great weekend! Charles Infosino aka Italian Chef
  11. Pleasure Island at Disney and Universal's City Walk do NOT have pornography. Where do you get your information from? Have you ever visited Disney and Universal Studios? By "adult" entertainment, they mean restaurants, dance clubs, and shops that appeal to adults rather than families with small children. And I think if PKI acquired land across the street from it (perhaps a certain resort) and converted it into a group of restaurants and shops - combined with Showcase Cinemas (which is also Viacom), it'd be very much like Disney's Pleasure Island. And as an adult, who sometimes wants to have a romantic dinner with his wife, I would welcome and applaud the idea. However, I SERIOSULY doubt it'll happen. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  12. Will the episode be replayed any time soon? Have a great day! Italian Chef

I voted for Drop Zone because it is the only ride at PKI that scares me. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  14. In the old days, The Beast was my favorite roller coaster. However, I'm starting to like steel more than wood. So, I'll vote for Flight of Fear. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  15. Until Paramounts Parks knows for sure what its future is, I doubt that there will be serious planning for more Paramount film-themed rides. Then again, they may know something that we the public don't. We'll have to wait and see. Have a great off season! Italian Chef
  16. HEY!!!! No more videos! I used to watch the films of FoF and AE when I REALLY missed PKI. Now, the updated site doesn't offer any.
  17. We were supposed to but didn't because of the HORRIBLE rain storm that canceled the fireworks and sent us leaving early to our hotel. BTW, if you wish to baby sit Nino, we'll be happy to go this year. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  18. I'll be happy to purchase Paramounts Parks if someone is willing to lend me the $1 billion to do so. Anyone got a billion dollars to spare? Italian Chef
  19. Wow! Thank you for the information. The International Restaurant sounds like a great place to take Mrs. Chef if they open it to the public this year. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  20. Both is a no-brainer for any true PKI fan. The more I go to PKI the better, that's why I chose both. Have a groovy day! Italian Chef
  21. Yes they can. Rides can be removed or re-themed.
  22. I know this was discussed WAY back when, but I'd like to ask about The Paramount Restaurant. How many dining rooms does it have? Is there a bar? How elegant is it? If PKI holds a 7/4 dinner there again this year, I might seek a baby sitter and take Mrs. Chef there. However, I'd like details about The International Restaurant before making plans to take Mrs. Chef there on the only day it's open to the public. Have a great day! Italian Chef
  23. Can someone please tell me the name and proper spelling of the new technology used at the Paramount Theater? It is the large screen that makes different scenery appear. I forgot. D'oh! Thanks! Italian Chef
  24. My 2 predictions are actually one. Should Paramounts Parks be sold to Mr. McGrath, they will essentially be spun off because he is almost an insider. I assume that a former high ranking employee has a cozy relationship with top management. We'll see what happens. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef
  25. Here's my prediction - so pay attention because if I am wrong, my friends will surely make fun of me. I predict that Paramounts Parks will go the route of Blockbuster, meaning they will be spun off as a separate company and essentially remain the same. According to coasterbuzz.com: "Tom McGrath, who stepped down as head of Viacom Inc.'s Paramount Enterprises last summer, has lined up investment firms Spectrum Equity Partners and GS Capital Partners, Goldman Sachs' private equity arm, to back him in his efforts to acquire the theme parks business, sources familiar with the situation said." I believe that Mr. McGrath and his partners will purchase Paramounts Parks from Viacom and all rights to Paramount, Nickelodeon, MTV, CMT, etc. will be included in the sale price. It helps Viacom for the free advertisement and it helps Mr. McGrath's group for the theming. That said, I believe that very little changes will occur as far as how the park is run. There is the possibility that the budgets could shrink, but one never knows. Needless to say, it'll affect full-time employees who I assume would lose their Viacom benefits in favor of a different package system. We'll have to wait and see. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef
