Great catch! I just took the survey. I think a Nickelodeon cartoon restaurant would pack the crowds more than Nick at Night. Just my opinion. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

Japan does have animae and childrens cartoons. The former includes nudity, violence, etc. The latter doesn't. Folks I met in Japan have no idea what H-B or Nick is. I do have plenty of pictures to post, but don't know how to get them on this site. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

On October 8th I flew to Japan with Mrs. Chef and Baby Chef. We arrived on 10/9 at night. On 10/10 we did practically nothing. On 10/11 I visited INUYAMA CASTLE, Joan Tea Arbor, the Inuyama Artifacts Musuem, the Ohgata Shrine, Meiji Mura, and the Naritasan Shrine all in Inuyama. On 10/12, Columbus Day, Mrs. Chef and I renewed our wedding vows in a Catholic Church and Baby Chef was baptized. On 10/13 Mrs. Chef and I went to Gifu City - Cincinnati's sister city. We visited Gifu Castle, the Gifu City Musuem, the Dai Buddha, and many more places. Plus we took part in ukai fishing. On 10/14 we went to Gero Onsen which didn't quite appeal to me. We came back on 10/15. On 10/16 Mrs. Chef and I visited Little World Amusement Park and went around the world in a day. On 10/17 I visited Monkey Park and rode all of their roller coaster plus more rides - and I saw all primates there. On 10/18 I shopped a little. On 10/19 I went to Sakae in Nagoya to eat Shabu Shabu with a friend and shop. On 10/20 we were hit hard by a typhoon and stuck indoors. On 10/21 I came back today! Have a great day! Here is an idea. How about? 1. We meet at a restaurant near PKI on I-71 exit 25. There are quite a few. We can shop around for one with a TV and VCR that we can use. 2. I'm all for Dirty's Steve's Lazer Tag idea. 3. Let's see if we can get a park representative to give us a 30 or so minute walking tour of the park. I doubt it, but wouldn't it be cool if we could take an Eiffel Tower ride to the top? Those are my ideas. I'll communicate with y'all in 2 weeks. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

First off, this is my 700th post. HOORAY! And secondly, please read my latest article, which is about FEARFEST. http://www.communitypress.com/MasonOH/News...ber%206,%202004 Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef: By light or night, FearFest a fright By Charles Infosino Contributor MASON - FearFest returns to Paramount's Kings Island to celebrate Halloween every Saturday and Sunday in October. Park guests can enjoy the haunted attractions free with park admission. Kings Island offers "fun by day" attractions to amuse families and "fright by night" attractions to scare guests 12 years of age and older. Fun by day Wizards World of Wonder enables children to look through a crystal ball and see themselves in costumes. The Mini Maze of Mystery is a straw maze that allows children to slide down a chute. Boo's House is an inflatable haunted maze designed for some of the smallest guests. Trick or treating will be available to children between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. as well. The Kahn's Kid Costume Parade will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 23 & 24. Pumpkin Patch Express returns this year. Guests board the train at Rivertown and ride to a special pumpkin patch. Additionally, there will be children's activities at Hanna-Barbera Land, such as games, pumpkin decorating and face painting. Fright by night Paramount's Kings Island shows off its connections to Paramount's Pictures with Sleepy Hollow Horror. This new attraction, based on the movie, allows guests to walk through a replica of the Headless Horseman's town and risk confronting him. "Friday the 13th," another Paramount film, comes to life as a show inside the Paramount Theater. Guests see the Camp Crystal Lake where Jason Voorhees does evil acts in a gory show not recommended for children or anyone with a weak stomach. The Paramount FX Theater shows "Dracula's Haunted Castle" this year. This motion simulator ride brings riders up close to the Prince of Darkness. At Curse of the Crypt guests trek through a dark crypt populated by the mummy, vampires, werewolves and other monsters. The House of Darkness looks like a traditional Victorian manor outside, but horrors await guests inside. Folks who love clowns make think differently after experiencing Circus of Horrors. It is a 3-D nightmare in a maze with a strong smell of popcorn and cotton candy that brings guests close to some very scary clowns. Maze of Madness takes guests inside a loud asylum. PsychoPath is a haunted trail that features zombies and other ghastly characters. Fun by Day takes place between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. The haunted mazes commence at 3 p.m. and most of Paramount's Kings Island's rides will be operating all day. masondeer@communitypress.com

If we have access to a VCR, I can show the Nickelodeon Parade because I recorded it this year. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

Chef, Steel Dragon has been closed for about a year now, SBNO No way! That really bites. Thanks for the FYI. I was all excited about Steel Dragon. Since I'll only be there for one day, I'll just ride as many coasters and other rides with moderate lines as possible. If you have any other information about Nagashima Spa Land, please share it with me. Their homepage is written 100% in Japanese so I can't make heads or tails of it. Have a great day! I like Hanna-Barbera as much as you do. However, considering the decreasing popularity of Hanna-Barbera and the increasing popularity of Nickelodeon among today's youth coupled with Nickelodeon and Paramounts Parks both being owned by Viacom...don't count on it. My guess is that someday there won't even be a H-B at Paramounts Parks. I hope I'm wrong of course as I much prefer H-B to Nickelodeon cartoons. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

Hundreds of Fall Freak Out & Fearfest Photos Added
italianchef replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I paid to attend the event and planned to go. However, come Saturday morning BOTH my wife and my son were sick. Hence, I was unable to attend. I hope that there will be a similar event next year. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef: -
I do guarantee that the Nickelodeon Parade will be back because that's what Jeff Siebert told me. He said that it'll be back bigger and better. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

I have no idea who will be added....but my guess is Susie Carmichael and Kimi Finster. Additionally, I think there's a chance to Phil & Lil DeVille. All 4 of these are popular Rugrats characters. Whether they would use the baby versions or the All Grown Up versions is beyond me. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

I'll be in Japan on both days. I fly there this Friday. Hence, I hope that y'all have fun without me. But don't pity me. While I in Japan I will visit 3 theme parks including Nagashima Spa Land, home of Steel Dragon which was the tallest roller coaster in the world until TTD displaced it. Have a great time! Overall, I think that Crocodile Dundee's Boomerang Bay was a great addition to PKI. First off, the park has made great strides this year to bill itself as a Hollywood park. The name CDBB implies a Hollywood theme, whereas the name WaterWorks sounded like a utility company. Second, WaterWorks was a pretty generic, concrete water park. CDBB is a great improvement for its atmosphere and new rides. Third, CDBB adds somewhat of an international flair to the park. In conclusion, CDBB was a great move on the part of PKI. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

In my personal opinion this year's FearFest was better than last year's. The only thing I find to be a waste of time is the usual rides because I have all season to ride them. During FearFest, I want to enjoy the haunted attractions as much as possible. I wonder what PKI has in store for next year's FearFest. And I wonder if WinterFest will be returned next year as well. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

Mrs. Chef and I got a baby sitter to watch Baby Chef so we could attend FearFest's Media Preview. We checked in and got our media passes and chatted with park dignitaries, which was cool. First we went to Circus of Horrors 3D, which had a strong odor of popcorn and cotton candy. It was cute and kind of creepy at the same time. In my opinion, it was better than last year's. Next we went to House of Darkness, Mrs. Chef's favorite. It was cool to see the different creepy characters. Outside of House of Darkness, we had the honor and priviledge of meeting Delirium Dreamer. She is a very wise and kind young lady. Then we went to Curse of the Crypt. I really liked the outside features and the charactes inside. The inside was creepy, but I was hoping for more of an Egyptian theme. Next we did Psycho Path, which seemed to have an Applachian theme. It was somewhat scary...very well done. And one of the actors is our very own DAN WAGNER. He did a great job. Next came Maze of Madness, which was very loud and I got lost. After finishing, we had a snack at Preston T. Tucker's Roadside Cafe, saw Dane and some other folks, and chatted with PKI staff. We were given a behind the scenes tour of Sleepy Hollow and then went home. PKI has really improved FearFest this year. Mrs. Chef and I had an awesome time. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef :chef: After that we had a snack

You forgot to mention that you saw Mrs. Chef and me there. Also, I beleive we met your sister - nice young lady. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef :chef:

I don't think that PKI is about the give up the Flying Eagles any time soon. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

SOB has always had a lapbar and FoF has the past 2 or 3 years. Don't worry about your wife being short - taller people suffer more in roller coasters. However, to avoid a beating on SOB, choose the middle car because the front and back cards insulate you from G forces. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

I have the Partridge Family and Brady Bunch episodes at Kings Island on tape. I recorded The Brady Bunch off of TV Land and purchased The Partridge Family. Both were cute. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

Perhaps if you called ACE and begged, they'd make an exception for you. Good luck. Italian Chef :chef:

I will be at the park on 10/2, but will be hanging out with the ACErs and other folks who paid extra for the behind the scenes tour. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

Regardless of where it's at, I'll try to make it. Will there be an on-premise PKIC meeting this season? Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
