  1. I really really really wish that I could've made the concert. Being a new parent is quite time consuming - but Baby Chef is worth it! However, I do hope that Wierd Al returns next year. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  2. I heard a rumor from a reliable source that an article about this issue will be in tomorrow's Mason Community Press - and that our very own Dan Waggs AND Mrs. G have quotes in the article. We'll have to wait and see. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  3. Speaking of the Nickelodeon Parade, I video-taped it. Hence, if we hold the event at Siam Orchid or another facility that'd allow us to use a TV and VCR, we can watch it! Plus, I have on videotape my son Antonino on the first rides of his life: Quick Draw's Railway, the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad, and the Eiffel Tower. I even have Baby Chef meeting Scooby Doo on video tape. Me a proud father? Nah. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  4. Regardless of where the event is held, I vote against both 10/9 and 10/16 because I will be in Japan on both those days and can't make it. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  5. I'll vote on Siam Orchid. The party room has been upgraded and bow has a karaoke machine and stage. It would enhance our meeting. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  6. Good catch Scooby Doo! Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  7. Greeting y'all, Today Mrs. Chef, Baby Chef, and I went to PKI for a short visit. First I rode The Beast while Mrs. Chef watched Baby Chef. No matter how many time I ride, I can never get tired of The Beast. It's truly the most awesome wooden coaster in the world. Thereafter we had a snack at Potato Works. Then we went to the top of The Eiffel Tower with Baby Chef. While waiting on line we had the pleasure of seeing a very beautiful young lady known on this site as PKIDiana. At the top we filmed ourselves and took pictures with Baby Chef. He began to act fussy so we then went shopping at Emporium. Thereafter we renewed our season passes for 2005. We then left the park very early. Not much of a trip, but I enjoyed the park and my family. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  8. A senior park official told me that the Nickelodeon Parade will back next year - bigger and better. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef :chef:
  9. The past couple of years PKI has pulled all Hanna-Barbera characters from walking the park except for Scooby Doo. Since the current generation of children is not aware of most of Hanna-Barbera's characters, do you think that Hanna-Barbera Land will be eventually phased out of PKI completely as Nickeloden Central expands? Do you think Hanna-Barbera caroons will make a comeback? Do you think we'll see the status quo indefinitely? What are your thoughts? Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  10. I know for sure that the PKI will be closed down to build the hotel. HOWEVER, can anyone tell me whether or not a new campground will be established? Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  11. By all means SFKK is worth visiting. It isn't as large as PKI, so you can do much more in the same timeframe. Though PKI has more and better rides and theming, I will certainly visit SFKK again. It was a nice change of scenery and a very nice park. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  12. 70 feet is quite high for some people. I can't get my wife, my sister, or my parents on TR:TR. They all fear height. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  13. DisneyJoel, Did you fly all the way from New Jersey to visit Paramount's Kings Island? If so, how would you compare it to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey? I'm originally from New York City and Great Adventure was my park until I moved to Greater Cincinnati and fell in love with Paramount's Kings Island. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  14. You are correct. I must've lost hundreds of book sales because of that error on their part. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  15. Considering that PKI's next attraction is themed after a Paramount movie, I think it's safe to say that the management take over by Nickelodeon won't change the park. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  16. Yes, and I was interviewed on this show - for only about 15 seconds. It's in the latter half of the show. Have a great day! 17. I predict that parts of Hanna-Barbera Land will disappear and be replaced by a new Nickelodeon attraction for Nickelodeon Central. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  18. TR:TR, Bubba Gump Shrimp Shack, the Nickelodeon Parade, and now the Italian Job. Is it my imagination, or is PKI becoming more and more like Disney MGM Studios and Universal Studios? We are lucky to live so close to such an awesome park! Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef: PS - Please bring back the Phantom Theater.
  19. The antique cars can be re-modeled as almost anything. They could be Nickelodeon with different cars for different shows, such as Rugrats, Wild Thornberrys, etc. Or they could be re-modeled after a specif show. We'll have to wait and see. I agree that re-theming an old ride to a current genre is a groovy idea. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  20. I've been to the parade twice and recorded it with my video camera. It was an awesome parade and I surely hope that PKI will host it again next year. We shall see. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  21. Hooray! PKI will get another coaster. Additionally, both the coaster and I share the same first name: Italian. However, I still would've preferred an Adams Family themed coaster. C'est la vie. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  22. To answer your questions... 1. What time does the parade run 5 PM and only 5 PM every day. 2. What's the best place to see the parade In Hanna-Barbera Land next to the infant care facility. You can sit on the stoop outside. 3. How early do I need to get there to have a good seat There are no seats for the parade....but get there at least 20 minutes early. 4. Is it really worth seeing Absolutely! It's almost like a mini-Disney parade, very well done. I highly recommend it. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  23. I vote for Adventure Express as the most under-rated ride. It isn't as fast and exciting as The Beast or FoF....but it delivers much bang for the buck. Additionally, the Polynesian theming enhances the thrill of the ride. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  24. Two years ago Mrs. Chef and I went to FearFest and enjoyed ALL (9 or more) of the haunted attractions in less than 3 hours!!! This is when FearFest had a separate fee. Last year with FearFest being free, there were so many people I did only 2 attractions in 3 hours. Hence, I'd rather pay more and ride more. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
  25. Great question Ryan. It was a Saturday and there were 2 company picnics that day, so I got there when the park opened at 10 AM. From 10 AM until a little after 12:20 PM I never waited more than 5 minutes for any ride!!!! That's how I managed to ride all of the roller coasters so fast. However, when I got on line for the ferris wheel, the crowd swelled and I waited more than 40 minutes on line. After lunch the lines looked pretty long, but no longer than PKI's. If the coasters at SFKK had more than one train like PKI does, I imagine the lines would be shorter. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
