Prior to reading your post, I myself thought that the Antique Cars might be transformed into the Nickelodeon Carwash. Whether it be MTV music videos or Star Trek, I think that FoF is in need of some theming. Though the que line is very well themed, the ride itself is dark and soundless. The experience would be enhanced by music/sound effects and scenery like Disney's Rockin Roller Coaster. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef :chef:

I wanted to go this weekend, but I had to cover an event for an article on Saturday and was busy yesterday and today. How crowded was the park on Sunday and Monday? If attendance was light, I'll be sad because I wanted to visit Crocodile Dundee's Boomerang Bay one last time this season - if I could avoid huge crowds and waits. As a journalist and author who has written extensively about Paramount's Kings Island, I am very familiar with how the park operates. First off, Maureen would have no idea why your complaints were never answered because that isn't her department. Paramount's Kings Island employs thousands of people and they aren't all knowing of everything that happens at the park. Your complaints should have gone to Guest Services. I cannot tell you why they never contacted you because I don't know. You have the option of contacting them directly and asking your questions. I can tell you that Maureen works in Marketing Communications. Therefore, her job is to interface with the media (such as yours truly) and park enthusiasts. She is in no way responsible for complaints and she doesn't wield the power to determine the future of the Kings Island Campground. As my article stated, negotiations are still taking place. Maureen is an outstanding professional and working with her is a privilege. She is an asset to Paramount's Kings Island and deserves all of our respect. Her job didn't obligate her to post on this site, she did so out of the goodness of her heart and enthusiasm for the fans of PKI. As far as the employee who told you that the Kings Island Campground would close early, there is a high probability that the employee was (1) seasonal and (2) mis-informed. Quite frankly, it would not be the first time in my life that I heard of a seasonal employee misunderstanding factual and stating erroneous park information. We're all human and we all make mistakes. I hope that this clears everything up about Maureen's role. There is no doubt in my mind that as soon as Maureen learns about important information and is allowed to promulgate it on this site, she will. I hope that you will enjoy the rest of your summer. Today I went to PKI with my friends good Kathy & Brent. They are a special couple because they co-produce, film, edit, and act in my public access TV shows with me. We got at PKI before 10 AM and rode FoF twice. It was great, but didn't seem as smooth as usual. Next we headed to SOB, which was smoother and more fun than usual. Thereafter we rode Top Gun and got what might be our last look at the Kings Island Campground forever. Then we went to The Beast and rode it. After that we ate lunch at Festhaus. Next we went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. While there, we had the pleasure of seeing PKIDiana. She was cheerful as always. Every time I go to the top of the Eiffel Tower, I pretend that I own Kings Island and look for unused land to build my mansion and movie studio - Kings Island Studios. After that we saw the show Tuned In. It was okay - and nothing more than that. I STILL MISS GRAVEYARD SHIFT!!! My favorite songs were the medley from TV Land, especially Batman and Movin On Up. The singer who performed Movin On Up is the most talented singer of the bunch and is attractive, but would surely look better if she gained weight as she is too thin. We finished the day by riding The Racer. Before going home, I bought a PKI infant outfit for my son Baby Chef. It was a fun and fulfilling day. Have a groovy week! Italian Chef :chef:

I have been saying for YEARS that PKI should have its own hotel. Campgrounds are nice, but hotels are better. Personally, I've never camped as I fear a bear biting my behind and a racoon eating my food. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef :chef:

The Beach was referring to Holiday Fest, which is an outdoor Christmas event. It doesn't involve water rides. The thinking is that folks who stay at the Great Wolf Lodge may wish to spend some of their vacation time enjoying the festivities at Holiday Fest.
