BoddaH's Excellent Adventure to Holiday Fest
italianchef replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
We don't know if PKI will return Winter Fest...until then all we can do is speculate how great it would be. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!! Italian Chef :chef: -
King Cobra Removed from Auction Site
italianchef replied to Dane's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
You're probably right that it'll end up scrap metal. If any of KC's fans were RICH, they could buy and save it. If I were rich, I'd buy and save Phantom Theater. Poor folks like us can only dream. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!! Italian Chef :chef: -

If I may quote James Bond from THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH: "Give the people what they want." HAPPY NEW YEAR! Italian Chef :chef: -
That's a good question, that I wish I could answer but can't. Maybe they cover the rides with plastic sheets to protect them from weather...maybe not. I hope that a knowledgeable employee answers your question.

I think that most people will be impressed with the landscaping, atmosphere, and new rides at Boomerang Bay. However, since we live in the Midwest, which is not a cultural mecca, I HIGHLY doubt that PKI will offer authentic Auzzie food. Unfortunately, too many people in this area are attached to pre-conceived notions about food and not willing to try something new and different. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!! Italian Chef :chef:

Although Star Trek isn't NEARLY as popular as it used to be, I also vote for Star Trek. The syndicated series ENTERPRISE on UPN has maintained some interest in Star Trek. And it was very recently in 2003 that the most recent STAR TREK was released. And yes......I ACTUALLY LIKE STAR TREK AND AM NOT A NERD. Happy Happy New Year! Italian Chef :guitar:

I would like to wish all of my friends at PKIU a very Happy New Year. I hope that whatever joy you had in 2003, 2004 will give you more. May this be a very healthy, happy, and financially stable year for you and your families. Happy New Year! Italian Chef aka Charles Infosino

After reading your editorial of The Beach's Holiday Fest, I got the impression that you were actually impressed....but felt pity for the animals. Surely PKI could return WinterFest......but the question is, will they??????? :santa:

Dan, You never cease to amaze me because you are a great resource of knowledge. At your age all I knew about theme parks was that I visited and liked Great Adventure (NJ) and Astroland (NY). Happy New Year! Italian Chef :chef:

King Cobra Removed from Auction Site
italianchef replied to Dane's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
PKI is supposed to have an auction next year in which they will sell their Phantom Theater characters and props. Who knows? Maybe King Cobra or portions of it will go on sale too. If you ask me, I MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH more miss Phantom Theater than King CObra. -
Please keep the DISCUSSION forums. I agree that having both DISCUSSION and SPAM may seem like a bit much. However, having one section where people openly talk about un-related topics such as other parks, school, work, music, holidays, and new additions to their family (hint hint) would attract more posts and maintain the casual and comfortable feeling of this esteemed homepage. That's my opinion. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:

Sorry I have to disagree with you. I prefer FearFest & Halloween to WinterFest & Christmas because: 1. I go broke every Christmas buying Christmas gifts for family, friends, etc. while Halloween doesn't cost me much. 2. I just LOVE horror movies, haunted castles, haunted trails, etc. Hence, I find FearFest most entertaining. 3. IF WinterFest returns, it'll be too cold to operate the vast majority of the rides. But hey, we both love PKI and Hanna-Barbera. Have a great day! Italian Chef

I truly MISS the Hanna-Barbera characters. Yogi Bear, Cindy Bear, Bobo, Fred Flintstone, Barney Rubble, Jabber Jaw, Snaglepuss, Captain Caveman, and others lightened up my day at PKI. I grew up with Hanna-Barbera characters and am sad that only Scooby Doo remains.

Should PKI build an indoor ride similar to POTC?
italianchef replied to italianchef's topic in KI Polls
Yeah, but when lightning strikes ALL outdoor rides are closed. That's why I think PKI needs more indoor rides. -
After reading Ryan's description of THE BEACH's Holiday Fest, I wanted to visit it. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time. :chef:
-
The tough thing about music is that so many of us have individual tastes. I'm sure that there are factions that'd like to hear: Australian tunes, Beach Boys, Pop, Rock, Country, Rap, Disco, etc. It would be virtually impossible for PKI to please EVERYBODY with their choice of music for Boomerang Bay.

BoddaH's Excellent Adventure to Holiday Fest
italianchef replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I like the way Ryan described THE BEACH's Holiday Fest in a very professional and unbias manner. While reading portions, I felt like he was holding himself back from saying PKI would do a much better job than THE BEACH. After reading Ryan's editorial I found myself feeling sorry for the animals at the live Nativity scene. However, I also found myself interested in experiencing what Holiday Fest has to offer. It's seems like an awesome festival. Since it's too late for me to go this year....I shall try for next year. In conclusion, I think that Ryan's editorial was well-written, can be appreciated by an animal lover, and sparked the reader's interest in visiting and enjoying Holiday Fest. Great job Ryan! Now that PKI is in the middle of the winter and will be closed until next April, which ride do you miss the most and why?
-
I think that Sandy Squirrel would make a great addition. PKI would benefit from more female characters. Have a great day! Italian Chef

Should PKI build an indoor ride similar to POTC?
italianchef replied to italianchef's topic in KI Polls
I think that PKI needs more indoor rides because when it rains heavily or worse, the majority of guests aren't left with many options. -
Before we can verify whether or not PKI is haunted, we need to scientifically prove that "haunted" exists and isn't a myth. :medieval:
-
Let's wait and see what happens. I doubt the change will be all that dramatic anyway.

If you could choose to theme PKI's next non-Boomerang Bay ride, which theme would you choose?
