A Slap At Q, Sorta

As long as they don't come up with a certain GM in Carolina as the ideal candidate. -
KI Opens for 39th season on April 30th, 2011
PhantomTheater replied to CoastersRZ's topic in Kings Island
They might be trying to get school groups for those weekdays in May. School usually like to plan stuff in advance, so KI is helping them out with the operations calender. -
Mean Streak, yes I am serious

Perhaps CF's goal is to make it like the ugly box with 12-E on the side.

KI Opens for 39th season on April 30th, 2011
PhantomTheater replied to CoastersRZ's topic in Kings Island
At CP, the houses are open all sundays with the outdoor zones and overlord open the last 4 sundays. EDIT: KI 2011 schedule is looking similar to CP's schedule has been, with daily operation beginning the third week in may. If KI gets the school groups like CP does, the days will be justified. -
No Maple Grove for Terpy last weekend, shocking. As for the renewal, why cant one renew his/her pass at any CF park. I like to buy mine at the park so I have a receipt from the park itself. My job at "The Amazement Park" prevented me from getting to KI in the fall, making me have to buy a new pass. If history remains the same (at CF a big IF) I will have to get it processed at KI and end up with a KI pass that cant be renewed in Sandusky. Thus next season will be in the same boat, if you can see der point.

Warning: Geeky post! Wow, a Klingon and a Romulan on the same midway without fighting each other? Only at PKI did mortal enemies stroll in peace, something the Federation would love to accomplish.

Cedar Fair Season Pass Prices
PhantomTheater replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
How did you manage that feat? -
Midway Market price varies from $10 (early season weekdays) to $13 ( weekdays and Saturday lunch) to $17 dollars (Saturday dinner, usually after 2pm).

How about last week when I heard Batman score by Elfman at CP?

holy jam packed park, Batman!
PhantomTheater replied to gigacoaster2k's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The madness that was Saturday, all the cars in the main lot are guest. Only a few employees were allowed to park on the peninsula, screamsters being some of the lucky ones. We were parked in Millennium Force lot and had to hike back. To keep us out of traffic they gave us a pizza party (Terpy I agree the new stuff is horrible). When I got to my car at 1:50 am the traffic finally cleared, until the next morning when all the resort guest were leaving. The biggest mess was on the Oceana Midway where Disaster, Twister, Maxair, Giant Wheel, Troika, and Toy Factory lines were intertwining with each other. -
Wrong answer. It is relatively easy to modify the gage of a coaster train. In fact, the Gerstlauers that ran on Son of Beast last originally ran on a coaster with relatively standard gage...the axles and carriages had to be modified to run on Son of Beast. It would not be all that difficult to re-modify them, or to modify the ones on the original trains to run elsewhere (though I cannot imagine why anyone would want to do the latter, being as those trains are so heavy and so less than comfortable for the riders, not to mention their unusual restraint system). Aren't the trains on SOB the same style that was on Raging Wolf Bob's in 2007?

As a reminder, CP outdoor zones are now open on Sunday at 7pm and closes at 9. We bring the screams all weekend!

Cheetah Hunt

One word: Ouch! -
I will be there in spirit, as physically I will be below Millie stranded on the island. (I will ride until 2:30, before the Midway gets Invaded for a Celebration).
