  1. A Gotham City retheme of AZ could be incredible… if done correctly. Though, with the current direction of things I’m not confident that would be the case.
  2. Losing WindSeeker could also open up opportunities with the Action Theater area again. As others have mentioned, that area can be a bottleneck nightmare and adding something else back there could make it worse. Without WindSeeker, there may be bigger and better options. Skyflyer could’ve been removed years ago.
  3. Slingshot and King Cobra were both repainted shortly before they were removed. It does happen, unfortunately.
  4. (Not directed at you specifically) I don’t think the removal of any of those attractions is anything more than “wishful” thinking from enthusiasts who’d like to see half the park demo’d in favor of concrete and lackluster coaster installations. Have there been any legitimate rumors saying this? Aside from regularly scheduled seasonal work involving Timberwolf? That said, I hope none of that comes to fruition, including the removal of Top Gun/The Bat. There are so many other areas of the park that need attention before AZ. I’m afraid that massive ride removals would only lead to large spaces of cleared land and wooden fences for 5-10 years.
  5. Oh yeah. Cedar Fair thinks Kingda Ka is a threat to the totally fine and operational Top Thrill 2. The raving success of that ride had led them to close Kingda Ka out of sheer vengeance and not because the ride concept has been a total disaster since opening, Makes sense.
  6. Sorry (not sorry) for the double post, but… Happy Winterfest, KIC!
  7. Can’t wait! Always my favorite time of year at the park!
  8. Could not agree more. But unfortunately, I think it “works” to well for the park for them to make any major changes.
  9. I was talking about Action Zone. Not sure what that has to do with TR:TR. But the theme and IP were, and would still be horribly out of place. So, hopefully they won’t do that. Pretty bold claim to make without having experienced it. Cedar Fair isn’t really to blame. Huss, the ride’s manufacturer, created a faulty product that literally tore itself apart. The ride’s removal was inevitable. You should check out the Defunctland video if you haven’t. Enjoyable if you’re interested in the subject.
  10. As opposed to what’s there now? A mismatched, hodge podge collection of thematically unrelated experiences? We’d be lucky if they decided to overhaul that whole section of the park. Should they do it right.
  11. A Gotham City retheme of Action Zone would be welcome.
  12. I’ll second this. More dark rides! Phantom Theater revival, DC, Peanuts, new ideas, etc. Let’s see a few!
