Who all here remembers the Titanic movie tour? and there was another tour that followed it the same year for Star Trek. I've uploaded a few pictures from both of those. The Titanic tour one I believe was the last time my grandpa went to KI, so a little bittersweet. Did You Know Cheetahs Ride Shotgun?
faeriewench replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Cheetahs though, tend to have a more docile temperment compared to that of a lion or a tiger, but I do have a problem with the handlers being all too comfortable doing that cause if the cheetah were taken by surprise or something... could lead to problems. I been around bobcats and I wouldn't allow them ride like that in a car. Hope they're driving carefully, cheetahs are real fascinating kitties. -
You would be correct.

I thought there was one or am I missing something?

Go Carts, Antique Cars and Law Suits
faeriewench replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I wouldn't be surprised people injure themselves intentionally just to get money, only reason I think that cause my family has had it happened on one of our recreational vehicles. -

When I hear about lawsuits for most things anymore it makes me embrassed to be a human. -
^thats good to hear. So many memories. We just kept all the RVs there and go around the Sandusky/Port Clinton/ Lake Erie islands considering it burns more fuel to haul them then it would without them and definatly hard with a camper the size of my dad's taking it to a campground and finding out it had nothing large enough which is what happened at KI. I mean...that Franklin was sinking a ferry and another time its weight smashed a water line at another campground flooding a bunch of campsites We probably outdo Long Long Trailer with what that Franklin been involved with.
-
^We ran into that at Disney World Fort Wilderness and just a mere couple weeks after we left they changed it to "you are allowed to keep your pets at your RV as long as they're leashed and/or kept inside". A attendant offered to take our cats himself and my cat Bandit scared him till he drained of color and said "nevermind you guys did say they don't leave the trailer? ok they can stay in the camper" Bandit from what I always remembered didn't like strangers and only allowed my father and grandfather to handle him without being bitten. We always went to Cedar Point, practically living there in some ways, (since there was hardly any campgrounds in that region that can handle my parents camper) and their campgrounds were always full, even on non holidays. I doubt its like that anymore though :/

Thanks everyone! Yeah, I can not stand when people pull out their cellphones once the trains leave station, always seems to happen on Adventure Express everytime I go on that.

Windows Movie Maker, I think its the most basic you can get. My biggest thing with putting this together was trying to keep the pictures and in particular the videos to flow with the music as much as possible. Thanks everyone!

Thanks DropZone9 TombRaiderFTW, at least I know I didn't imagine it that I heard that rumor. Only other thing I know is Sky Cabin has only just reopened within the last few weeks, its been closed since right before WindSeekers construction -
I was bored today and made this music video for Kings Island. All images and videos were taken by me. The owners of the music are credited in the video.

I'm finally finishing up uploading all my KI pics from the summer. It was a real hard summer, on top of dealing with the man who killed my cousin and his gf, I was taking care of my 7 year old kitty whilst he was battling kidney failure. His fight lasted 5 months and I lost him at the very end of July. Following that...I kind of just stopped uploading any pictures (time period of them was most upsetting) and quit going to the park. Bonzi's round the clock care was almost like caring for a human baby. I was encouraged to visit KI, the zoos but it was kind of hard to enjoy myself (at times I actually felt guilty just being there), those I met up with will remember, I'd always break away every couple hours just to phone my dad to see how Bonzi was doing. I'm really happy that 2011 is over, the man that killed Troy and Tiffany is in jail and Bonzi I hope is very happy with my grandparents... I'm gonna try to make a better 2012 and if things go right I'll be in SoCal for a two month stay towards the end of the year. With another season starting in just a few months, its time to get all these up so to make way for 2012 season. Anyway...hope these pictures will help some of y'all dealing with offseason blues cause theres plenty of sunshine in these shots. Reason why its a Separate admission is for one Knotts is a much smaller park and they don't get the season pass numbers that Kings Island gets. 2 haunt at Knotts is FAR better than KIs haunt puts it to shame!! the scare actors actually SCARE YOU!!! That, and the park seems a lot more quiet in general in the daytime that time of year. The weekdays I attended the park non-Haunt hours, it was really really quiet where every ride was a walk-on. So emptying the park was almost...nothing. That's actually been done. Well...kind of...sorta. Tombstone 2009 they incorperated a KI ghost into the backstory of the attraction. (little girl in blue dress!) I don't have the slightest idea if they still do it, though.

Old Cedar Point post card
faeriewench replied to jlopez's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
By the pictures I have of original Shoot the Rapids...I'm not sure if I wanted to ride that myself. Premier - I have 2 different copies of the Queen of American watering places and both list Mill race as opening in 1963 which put it before Blue Streak and I was under the impression Blue Streak was older...thats not correct?- 21 replies

The original Shoot the Rapids came about 1970-1971 Man was it really the late 60s? I know Mill Race came around in the 60s. I didn't know that, I'm actually going by the book and not internet lol.- 21 replies
