Heck back in '01 (pre-9/11) my friends and I drove into Canada from Detroit and back without even having photo IDs.

Probably not, but I'm not sure. I'm not on the "in" with this one. I was told by certain park official(s) to make sure I have that day free and that KI would be the place to be this 4th of July. Beyond that, I really have no info. You guys have to realize that the 4th of July isn't a typically crowded day for Kings Island. It's primarily the activities that day that draw the people. 4th of July, Father's Day and Mother's Day are three of the most difficult days for the park. In fact, at one point the park used to be dead on the 4th. One of the big reasons attributed to that is that many people would stay away as they thought park woudl be packed. In turn, it was light. Absolutely. Coupled with the fact that you have a very large abundance of options for that day.

The shows are probably the autograph signing sessions, but of course, everything seems to be over the top nowadays.

Unconfirmed word on the street is that attendance is actually up YTD from last year, but that's just KI. The article states:

Aces & 8s was actually the sponsor of the stage. It's a Harley Davidson dealership right up the street from KI. I'm not sure which band played right before his jump, but the bands scheduled to play that day were Goshorn Brothers, 3 Degrees, Kristen Key, Marsha Brady, Catch 22, Johnny Combs and Dallas Moore.

I noticed that Thursday. They're really prevalent at KI for not being in season.

Do NOT miss riding Magnum XL-200. Wildcat's a hidden gem too. Other than that, make sure you hit up Millennium and Top Thrill Dragster. Yeah... it's kind of a coaster park.

Yep, I hope you have a dietitian guiding you in the early stages of vegetarianism. Woofer's absolutely right -- bad things can happen if you just go vegetarian and don't eat a balanced diet. Something similar happened to my sister, she started loosing hair. Not to the point where you could tell on her head, but it was really evident when she'd change clothes and a ton of hair was stuck to what she was wearing. Turned out that she was low in protein. Meat adds a lot to a diet... it's just when you get the Wendy's Baconator every day for a month (guilty) that it's really a problem. Cliff Note: Recently I have been eating better.

Would be fun, wouldn't it? A lot of people post that they're going to be at the park on a certain day and ask if people want to meet up. This is something we've always allowed. KIC used to host several "meetup days" which were informal but had a huge turnout in some cases. Traditionally it was the last day of the season, but we elected not to do it since the last day of the season was a Wednesday and we had already had the event to end all events.

Plus you MUST protect it or it becomes public domain. It's happened to Disney before. They got some bad press because they insisted that a daycare paint over a wall featuring many Disney characters. Disney wasn't trying to stick it to this daycare, but they are forced to protect what is theirs.

Actually if you really want to get technical, you really have no knowledge of Cedar Fair's agreement with Paramount Pictures either. I get what you're saying and it does make a lot of sense, but you still don't know for sure if that's why they chose to change the names or not.

They used to have one of those at SFKK. It was actually kind of boring to be honest.

The Red Racer had extensive track work done. That's why it can be two different ride experiences.

He meant long lines if you have to wait to purchase them at the admissions windows at the park.

It's called Dude's Night Out, and all the cast does is sit around, drink, and talk about how they don't understand the girls in Girl's Night Out.
