  1. I wouldn't go as far as taking the liberty of saying that it's ok to take pictures. I'm just saying that they've been up for a long time now and to my knowledge, no one has been contacted saying to take then down, not to take more, etc.
  2. I think the out door version of Tomb Raider is going to be rather innovative and neat. Hope it operates more consistantly than ours does.
  3. I do agree with you for the most part, but you're overlooking a couple of things. First of all, on a very basic level, yes, we traded in two small flat rides for a new an innovative coaster... cool. Regardless to anyone's attachment to either ride (particularly the Eagles), having very scenic rides like that at the crest of RT and Coney really set the feeling for that part of the park. There were countless trees, making the whole area very green. You also must not forget the history wrapped up in both of the rides. Regardless, I think most of you agree that if the park is going to remove both the Tiques and the Eagles, they've got to replace it with something darn GOOD. You know what? I think the park had that in mind, and the animations won't hold a candle to the finished product of the Italian Job. Granted, as far as a coaster is concerned, there aren't a lot of "elements" but in all honesty, what's left? Would you really be more content if they launched you 450ft in the air and it was over? After the first couple of weeks, probably not. In this new attraction, there are going to be several scenes (13, I believe) which loosely simulate the climactic chase scene of the movie. If it's done right, this innovative device will be one of the most exciting and life-like experiences that you'll have at a seasonal park... if they blow it, we paid a very high price for another Adventure Express... only time will tell. Have a great day, Ryan
  4. On that note, why didn't the park fire Dan and Tyson for walking along the fence line and taking CDBB pics last year? Why didn't they send security out to have me and DirtySteve arrested when we did it? Probably because IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL! Now calm youself down and enjoy the updates, don't attack other people for taking the time out of their day to make the PKIC community a little bit richer.

  7. Either that or we can just hope that nothing gets taken out for a very long time.
  8. I disagree. I really think that it's out of place simply because (although it's close to the entrance to CDBB) it's still not in CDBB. Having kids take their shirts/shoes off in the regular area of NC is just a big hassle... not that there's anything wrong with the maze, it just seems like it would be a PERFECT kids area for CDBB. The only problem is, running the lines and pipeworks for something like that is no easy task, so that's why I think it'll end up scrapped in the end. Plus, the area seems like it would be perfect for a new small flat for any future NC expansion.
  9. The only glitch is the link itself. More than likely, the programmers were using that as a test page to see if their HTML codeing worked or not. We actually do the same thing when we're launching new sections or versions of PKIC. As a means of "filler" we make up headlines, usually to our own amusement. This would explain why the articles really make no since and the videos linked to them really have nothing to do with anything. I watched two of the videos. The one for the Krusty Krab is the Borg Assimilator commercial, and the one for its "sequal" is oddly enough an orginizational behavior training video (we actually watched it in my OB class a few days ago!). Like I said, don't read into it, it's not a breakthrough, it's not top secret info... just a test scheme.
  10. Unless Carowinds wins the Golden Ticket this year, I'm sure PKI will get it. Now, my best guess it that PKI has a HBL/NC expansion on their very near horizon, which will get them the Golden Ticket again.
  11. Last year, the sneak peek day was the day after dry run day, which were both the weekend before the park opened to the GP. I would expect the same this coming year. Oh yeah, and yes, they usually do have it on PKI.com. It helps promote the season passes.
  12. Nickelodeon Slime Zone.. it's gotta be.
  13. Not PARKS necessarily, but definitely PKI. 1/3 of the people who visit PKI are passholders, and that's why they need to take such good care of them.
  14. Cal - welcome back, buddy. You've probably noticed that we now have community forums. Posts like this go in there now. Thanks.
  15. This is getting a little old, so I'm going to close it. We'll have postings again once the job fair draws closer. Good luck on the math test.

  19. After having to do one of the biggest moderation sessions in the history of forums, I've come to the conclusion that you guys are all suffering from some sort of menacing withdraw. Keep it clean, people.
  20. I still think people will be eating their words once they ride IJST.
  21. Ha... that reminds me of my old idea (you can pitch it to the park, but I want credit) of having everyone take an IQ test upon entering the park, if you get below a 70, then you have to stay in HBL.
  22. PKI.com has just updated with a few more IJST construction pictures showing more and more structure and themeing. Click here to check it out! A special thanks goes out to Delirium13 for spotting this first. Ryan
  23. The sad part is, you're probably right. It has happened before.
