  1. You mean we supply you with a thousand pictures, tons of history info, park info, visiting guides, and videos and you're still asking for more?? You know what that means? You're a good audience! Thanks for the suggestion. If we do find a feasable way to do this, we'll surely do so. Thanks, Ryan
  2. It was my pleasure to be on the show.
  3. A special thank you goes out to anyone to attended the tour, as well as PKI's stellar marketing gurus Maureen and Jeff for hosting such a fun and wonderful event! Please make any further comments here. Thanks, Ryan
  4. He and Maureen were on their way to Chicago.
  5. As most of you know, the great marketing team was gracious enough to open the doors of the park to allow us inside to check out the progress of the Italian Job Stunt Track! Of course, PKIC is the first to update with photos from this event. Click here to see IJST construction as well as winter rehab pics! Bill has also created a video from the tour and it can be viewed here. Regards, Ryan
  6. I don't know if they'd let season pass holders in for free, but I do see your point with the discount. They'll bank on all of you who come to PKI 4 or 5 times a season, but live quite a distance away (so you can justify a pass, but need lodging). Thus the lodge will be "the place to stay if you're going to PKI". That's really what they need. Hopefully they'll have atleast semi-competitive prices too after the novelty wears off. Side note- It was on the news last night. They showed clips of CP's lodge.
  7. 1. TheKlockster 2. BoddaH1994 Please note that this roster is simply for your use, as in, you know who to look for there. It is not necessary to sign up in order to participate in the tour.
  8. You do that, foo!!!
  9. I never even understood how exactly it worked. Maybe if it was explained in a pinned post or something it might work a little bit better, but as it was I don't know if anyone knew what was going on, or it could've just been me. From "TOS and Warning Sytem" pinned in the regular PKI discussion forum:
  10. Could be anything... my guess is that the late nights were simply popular.

I'm feeling a PKI-SFKK-CP-HW connection going on for me this summer... nothing particularly special.
  12. ^ That is an excellent point. Then again, is PKI known for the coasters? Not really... I mean, it is the wood capital of the world in most peoples' opinions, but that's still nothing to Cedar Point. In my opinion, PKI does have avery healthy collection of rides, though.
  13. Are you saying that all you want are some frickin' sharks with some frickin' laster beams? ::Coy Smile:: Yes, Shockwave surely looked like a rethemed FoF, but at the same time, they could have consided FoF such a success, that they wanted to build a modified version in another Paramount Park. I find that to be far more likely.
  14. Not to go off on a tanget here, but they showed a sky-copter view of Coney and showed "their rollercoaster" on it. Maybe I was half-asleep or something, but this didn't look like the Python at all, rather it almost looked like one of its wooden coasters of the past.
  15. I call same teams next year.
  16. Dude, it was a slight exaggeration. I certainly don't see it opening before May, though. I could be completely wrong, but from the latest pics it doesn't appear as though the ground work for most of the footers has even started yet. Granted, we're talking about a small ride here, but there is still a lot involved with the project with the theming and effects. Considering that Canada already has completed nearly ALL of the concrete work for their ride.....I'm taking a stab that PKI is behind schedule. I think we should be hoping for mile weather the next few months. Guess we'll find out a bit more on Friday. - Todd I don't know, Todd.... you said the same thing about CDBB's opening day last year, and they still managed to pull it off. Never doubt PKI. On a side note - my vote is mid-May. Ryan
  17. Eh.... don't bother becoming a member of CB (sorry Jeff), granted you save a little bit of money on these events, but unless you go to several of them, it doesn't really pay off. I think it was just about $20 for non-members last year. You can pre-reg using the form on CB's web site (whenever it's up). For those of you who didn't attend last year, it was a BLAST. Probably one of the best times I have had at the park...ever...and I go a lot. The best part was Stevie B's ridiculously hard scavanger hunt. Word to the wise--it's Ghastly Manor, not Ghostly Manor.
  18. No it was removed because of the steel. The steel PKI got for the King Cobra was bad when they first built it and it was endanger of collapsing in the next year or two is which is why they took out. After togo built KI King Cobra they switched places where they got thier steel from and which is why the other togo coaster @ PKD is still standing. I'll give you half credit. It is true that KC was built with Japanese steel, which isn't exactly the most stable metal in the world, but saying that it was in danger of collapse... that's a little far.
  19. Stand up coasters were the trend of the 80s, not unlike how flyers were the trend of the 90s, and the floorless are the trend now. I don't see any real merit in getting another one.
  20. ^ Wow -- attitude. First of all: <<"(Every train is rebuilt every fourth year.)">> I'm not entirely sure if PKI does this or not, but I know particularly Arrow cars are supposed to go through what they called (at least on Arrow's web page) "breakdowns" in which the thing is entirely parted, parts are replaced, etc. Does PKI do this? I don't know, but probably... <<"...it is best to remove a couple sections to allow for the expansion and contraction during cold weather, just to make sure it doesn't loosen bolts or weaken the bolts in the process.">> This is another thing that I'm not entirely sure about, but if you know Tyson (Fo Shame) you'd know that he knows what he's talking about.
  21. TWO YEAR expansion. That's the 99-00 AZ expansion, not just SOB. I think SOB was sleighted for $15 million and the repairs and retracking have blown that budget out of the water.
  22. CoasterBuzzers: Happy new year! 2005 is looking bright for CoasterBuzz Club! So far we have two events on the books. The first is our annual BeastBuzz event at Paramount's Kings Island, which will feature the new Italian Job Stunt Track. The date is June 11, 2005... mark your calendar! We're also having an event at Dorney Park to ride the fabulous looking Hydra The Revenge. We don't have a date yet, so stay tuned. Also, we finally got our new batch of membership cards from the printer (it took them just three tries to get it right). Hey, at least they have nice rounded edges now! If you signed up or renewed recently, your card is finally in the mail. That's it for now. CoasterBuzz is about to turn five years old, and I thank you for your continued support and daily visits. See you on the midways! -Jeff Source: Coasterbuzz Newsletter I suggest that all of you preregester this year and avoid the long lines of last year.
  23. Why another coaster? If you look around the world, most of what you can do with a coaster has been done. There's no direction to go but up, and that's just pointless. My vote goes for a dark ride experience.
  24. Could you ask for more than that?
  25. You can only base your statements off of what the park releases.
