  1. What about the Crystal Beach Cyclone?
  2. For the love of God, people! It may be 30 years old, but it's not like it couldn't support a pretty massive amount of weight. I'm getting this "if the ball weighs more than 50lbs the tower will fall over and kill a bunch of people" vibe. Seriously, the reason why it seems flimsy sometimes is because it's made of steel, which is intended to bend. That's all. The structural integrity is fine.
  3. No way, DORK! i made sure that i got a different seat. I had to ride again, though, because i was addicted!!!! i think they have support groups for that... called ACEers Anonymous? It's in pretty terrible taste that you'd say something like that, especially from a person who frequents Holiday World.
  4. Amazon.com - The Unofficial Guidebook to Paramount's Kings Island by Charles Infosino ^ A PKIC Guide book? That would be interesting, but it would be in terrible taste to compete with one of our main contributers. Now, Charles has toyed with the idea of a 2nd edition, and I'm sure he'd call upon the great people of PKICentral to help reformat the visitor's guide or whatever, but that's between he and his publisher.
  5. When telling people that I go to the park 35 or so times a season, I've been asked countless times whether or not I have a season pass. It's like, "No, I actually pay $1500 a year to go instead of $60"
  6. Matters which category we're talking about, I guess.
  7. I don't think they'll get a coaster for a while.
  8. hehehehe...... ::Flashback to the 6th grade:: "Your mama is so poor, she went into the free store and complained about the high prices!"
  9. Believe it or not, Screaching Eagle at Americana does have a fair amount of airtime.
  10. Gabriel has been so kind as to supply us with 5 more amazing shots from his airplane of the park. These include IJST construction as well as various rare off-season park shots. This is a short but sweet update. Enjoy! Click here to view! Regards, Ryan
  11. There are a lot of reasons why PKI doesn't have a B&M, the distance to the factory isn't one of them.
  12. We have toyed around with the idea... maybe even an employee of the month. Then again, with so many people contributing to PKIC so often, it's hard to find just one per month!
  13. I disagree. I think the Tower would be able to handle a launched ride or something small like the scooters. The only serious consideration that you would need to have would be the steel bending (as you know, the tower sways in the wind as is). Although this could likely be done safely, it could cause potential harm to the ride itself over time.
  14. This is coming from the perspective of someone who sells this **** 30 shours a week at Best Buy: Sony digital camcorders are the best for the money. I wouldn't mess with any other camcorder except a Sony unless it were a really higher-end Panasonic (like the 3CCD one). Sony cameras aren't bad, but Canons have a lot more bang for the buck. The only advantage that Sony cameras have is that they have a Carl Zeiss lens, which is a multi-coated lens and improves contrast. Resolution - Sony Camcorders and Canon cameras are the way to go. Side notes: Yes, Canon camcorders are horrible. Don't buy one, don't even touch one. Off the shelf, if you're look at the under $400 range, the Canon Powershot A-Series cameras are the way to go. 15. I've also heard that ice is much better than fire.
  16. I go every once in a while just to ride the Eli Bridge wheel. What can I say? It's one of those rides that doesn't feel as safe as it really is.
  17. How about a week of an out of body experience?
  18. Nah, I think we'll take a different approach. How about, if you make another post insulting other members of PKIC, you'll be a ghost on the forums? Does that sound like a fun game?? This is your one, only, and final warning.
  19. lol... I was going to say.. people know my name on here who have never met me, and we hang out frequently during the season.
  20. ^ I must admit that Bisch-Rocco was kind of what I had in mind.
  21. We do have a lot of pics of the same stuff, sometimes we even accidentally uploaded the same pics twice. That's something that we need to filter through and fix over time. As far as similar pics go, we have the bandwidth, so having 40 shots of The Vortex really isn't that big of an issue. The underlying question is, what do you like and what do you not like? What are the photos that you want to look at more than once? Which are the photos that you don't bother to open up at all?
  22. You know, they are a European company, it's probably that darn metric system.
  23. Did you try hitting CTL+ALT+DEL?
  24. BoddaH1994 replied to The-Snapper's topic in Rumors
Brandon, next time I see you, I'm going to punch you in the face.
  25. I'm sure there are a lot of factors involved in whether a park's attendance went up or down with only part of it being the new attraction.
