  1. Thats what I've been trying to figure out, where is the queue going to be? Like someone else said, the track after the helicopter scene runs between the station and the helicopter scene itself. It doesn't seem as though there would be enough room to squeeze the queue in there. Unless they start it somewhere over where the Eagles used to be, then have it lead up to the station....right next to the brake run? Then the exit side would be the splashdown bridge area. Just a thought. - Todd From what I understand, they'll have a significant amount of queues before the bridge, so they'll probably just have regular station queues on the other side.
  2. A lot of the manufacturers are gone now (aka Arrow) but it's still a good idea.
  3. People are still getting used to the community forums, so it's not really necessary to hop on people for posting in the wrong spot. Also, if you guys knew how many topics we moved a day, you'd realize that everyone would be banned within weeks, which isn't what we're going for. We'll keep our eyes out for habitual offenders and we'll hand that accordingly.
  4. For $100 million it had better be a hell of a lot better than FoF.
  5. How far of a drive is that from the Cincy area, roughly?
  6. I'd say a 22 minute high-paced version of Phantom of the Opera would be cool.
  7. I think picture #3 proves one of two things: 1) This is a totally new and innovative device. 2) This is going to be the biggest headbanger since the Crystal Beach Cyclone. Come on #1! lol
  8. I've got $50 on Taney.. any takers? Sorry Tyson.
  9. Just talking about your bubbly personality. Must give Steve lots of entertainment and never a dull moment. She'll be waiting for you in the parking lot.
  10. Steve Boehmker and Kimberly Taney were featured in a humorous article about carpooling all the way from NKY to PKI. You guys crack me up. Click here to read the article.
  11. I bet it's weather related. Since Canada does have those harsh winters that we've been talking about, I bet they have to do things a certain way to keep them on schedule.
  12. I claim to be no expert, but I'm pretty sure PKI won't get a B&M anytime soon.
  13. A scan if it would be great if you were willing to share.
  14. Why REPLACE any of them? Take a look at Corkscrew & Gemini at Cedar Point, both are nearing their 30th anniversaries in 2006 & 2008. Both outdating ANY steel coaster at PKI by far. Why remove Top Gun or Vortex at this point? Here is a concept that seems to be lost on PKI.......EXPAND the park and stop REPLACING. Kings Island used to have one of *the* best collection of rides at any park. Sadly, I find the collection rather disappointing these days. I so desperately would love to see the Park expand and build up its collection like it used to be....whether it be thrill rides or family rides. - Todd What you have just coined is Viacom's desire to create more revenue on less money. I doubt it's so much that they'd have to expand, but rather that it gets expensive to maintain the rides after several years.
  15. Stevie B has been so kind to brave the 64 degree partly cloudy weather to bring his favorite PKI fansite yet another IJST construction update! As you will see from the photos, the parking garage is in the process of being painted, the loading platform is nearing completion, and track is going vertical. Click here to see the update! Once again, we want to thank Steve Boehmker for being so generous with his time and being so kind to the staff and members of PKIC.
  16. I've heard from several employees that there was a marked downgrade in quality the last week of the parade. Almost as if the performers got burnt out... can you blame them?
  17. I'm the first one to be skeptical I must admit, but I don't know... I just have a feeling that this one's going to be good... really good...

    SOB

I wonder if that has to do with the fact that it's a steel structure with a wooden track, or the specific ways that the G forces act upon the train.
  19. Seriously - Regardless of having to do it for a month, it had to be a good break in the day. So, did you guys ever get a day off? I saw the parade about 10 times, and it seemed like it was always the same people.

I find it funny how i pretty much said the same thing, in a little bit larger post, no less than a week ago and I got suspended for it and the post got deleted. Just makes no since That whole use of profanity and lack of grammar thing had something to do with it. You're allowed express any opinion you want so long as it doesn't violate TOS.
  21. I totally agree. I have never understood why people liked winter. It's bitter cold and almost all of the vegitation is dead or lifeless. A good blanket of snow really changes the perspective, though.
