Anyone ridden a Jump2? I hear they're cool. I'm sure if PKI got one, it'd be the "biggest" or whatever.. just in the spirit of being PKI. What is the ride experience like?

What's happening y'all? I guess you guys haven't yet noticed the NEWEST fan fiction from the author of the Unofficial Guidebook to Paramount's Kings Island. You may remember him from such stories as Phantom Theatre, Adventure Express, and PKIC on Mars. This one reveals the deepest and darkest secrets of our wonderful pirate ship that sits in the darkness of Oktoberfest. Click here to read the short but sweet "history" of VIKING FURY!

All of the rides listed above are pretty good rides. I'd say that the only big mistake that the park has made was that hyper wooden painful thing in the Action Zone. I have to wonder if Werner Stengle lost his mind after making an awesome ride like FoF to making a buch of helixes and a loop like SoB. You may argue that a wooden structure is limited.... well, my not so brilliant friend, if you look right down the road in Rivertown, you'll notice SoB's daddy, which is a wooden coaster with a couple of helixes, but one HELL of a lot more personaility that its idiot son... Disagree with me if you will, but I was sorely disappointed after my first spin around on SoB.... Now, with some track work, it might actually be a ride that doesn't run the risk of causing injury to the innocent patrons aboard, but even if it were a coaster made of marble, it would be just a hill, a loop, and helix, after helix, after helix, after helix.

Rumor have been flying like mad that they'll get one in the near future. Then again, who knows...

Once again, anyone can write an editorial so long as they go by the guidelines already stated. You have to keep in mind that Chef has already written a book on the park and is a freelance journalist, and the PKI '04 article is from a newspaper and we obtained the rights to post it here, so it don't hesitate to try to submit an editorial if you don't have a Phd in English. We'll help ya edit it.

I'm willing to bet that there won't be a show there anytime in the near future. They totally removed the stage and everything. You'd think that since they have an ampetheatre right there in HBL that they'd have SOME sort of child-oriented show, but I guess not.

Magic Mountian Employee dies after scream hit her
BoddaH1994 replied to TopThrillDragster's topic in Kings Island
Highly doubt it was suicide. Sounds like something the press would blow out of proptortion. It really is sad news. My thoughts go out to her family. -
I think ecology has done a great job thus far. I have also noticed a million times improvement between dry run day and last weekend as well.. The crew up at PKI seems to really be getting things together and it's looking to be a great season!
-
lol... I don't trust PKI.com, and I ESPECIALLY don't trust Dane Thomas, so I called GR.
-
I just called GR, for those of you who were wondering, the park isn't open Fridays for the rest of the month. darn.

Well, happy birthday to Trouble! I'm thinking about going up either tonight or tomorrow night, but I can't go Sunday because we've got our first Best Buy softball game of the season and we're going to get slaughtered. Anyway, if any of you will be up there tonight, either IM or PM me and maybe we'll meet up. Ryan

Of course it's possible. If the mechanics of the ride failed, then it could come up. Why else would the add the seat belt part to rides like Face/Off and DZ (in addition to stopping people from sliding out of the bottom)?

I'm not entirely sure about the whole conspiracy thing, but I have heard from several sources that the valley did in fact happen. It is the obligation of the employees no to leak information, but flat out denial is one step further. When it all comes down, is the ride still safe? Of course it is. Did it valley? Probably, but most rides have at some point in their history. Although I am an advocate of a patron's right to know the actual facts, it seems like the park (assuming of course that this did happen) is attempting to put this behind itself, and I think we should respect that.

Does there need to be a poll? Because when I started this post, I did not make it a poll. One of the head guy come and added the poll, I don't care, i'm just wonting to know why. I'm not sure who made this into a poll, but the reason why it was done was purely orginizational. You could read teh whole thread and unless it is a landslide, you may not know how people feel about this particular issue.

I noticed that myself... is the first choice 1 and the 2nd choice 2? Let me know and I'll edit it for you.

There is a red dotted line on the park map, I think that may be the parade route that you're describing.

What new film will the Paramount FX Theater offer?
BoddaH1994 replied to italianchef's topic in Coming Attractions
According to the signs that are up at the FX Theatre right now, they're keeping the same ones as last year, but that could change. -
Sure it's a ride! Just think of it as Drop Zone without OTSRs and a much slower descent.

I've been going up to the park and taking pics of Taz since it was a "baby". Let me tell you, it looks big, it looks exciting. If you guys haven't been to the park yet, you'll notice it quickly as you get on Kings Island Dr.

According to the park map, there is going to be a new restaraunt on I-Street but it doesn't specify where. Does anyone have any info on either the location or the type of food they'll serve?

Interesting concept. I'd like to see glass floors on the elevators. Same concept as the CN Tower in Toronto, Ontario.
-
It DID NOT valley! How many times have me, Drew, Sparky, and god knows who else said that's physically impossible! Though SOB was closed all day, and from what I have heard it may not be open tomorrow - at least the first half of the day. Actually, it's entirely possible for it to valley. Who knows what kind of outside forces could make the train stop. Did it valley today? I've heard it did, but who knows...

As you obviously know, we have launched v.2 and are still working out several bugs. A problem that some of our users have is that they are still getting the red, white, and blue colors in the backrounds. Personally, if I delete my cookies and look at the forums, I get the new ones, but as soon as I log in, I get the old ones.. does anyone else have that problem? Also, when I go to pki-central.com (with the dash), I get a messed up skin of v.1... any problems with that either? Ryan
-
Yeah, I've heard that it's new elevators from several people as well. Last Saturday, they had the door propped open and were working in there. I don't know why every time a ride is closed, you guys think it's something terrible like the tower is going to fall or something.

The only place that I know of that gives it out is Best Buy.
