I'm sure Son of Beast would bring a lot of business to Jungle Jim's.

I think the TR:TR construction was the biggest giveaway.

What is yor favorite KI ride that is not there?
Delirium13 replied to troubled_diva's topic in Kings Island
I liked King Cobra, but I'd take Delirium over it anyday. -
I think Geauga Lake's Halloween event was scrapped because of the park's low attendance.

The Festhaus is in the Oktoberfest area of the park (no matter how small it is now), an area of the park that is themed to Germany. So therefore it does fit in. Although, I think it would be cool to see more German food in there to give it more of the German Bierhaus type of feel that it should have. Anf if they played some music lightly to add to the mood that would also be nice. I think the Festhaus is a nice place to relax in the airconditioning, and although I dont think LaRosa's Pizza really fits in with the German theme, I think it smells good.

If it reopens, I will ride it. I love that ride.

It's the 2nd most viewed topic in the whole history of PKIC... and it's less than 24hrs old. Yes, I heard the "wood splinters" thing, but judging by the poor job of the media on this one, I have trouble believing that. What's Number One?

If that guy really did know for a fact that his train jumped track, why didn't he say anything to the ride ops?

My prayers are with the riders and their families, and I hope everyone makes a speedy recovery.

I noticed that also, and then they were saying the park was trying to downplay all the injuries. They're trying to make matters worse by making it look like the park knew that this could've happened.

More National News about the accident from MSNBC.

This is not good news at all! I hope everyone is all right. And also could this be the final straw for SOB?

I think Star Search Live is kinda funny to watch when the people can't sing. -
If we had to change the name of PKIC..
Delirium13 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
KICentral.com because KingsIslandCentral.com is too long, and don't keep PKICentral because it isn't Paramount's Kings Island anymore. But thats just what I think. -

I think that needs to happen A.S.A.P!!! But this is great news that they got the deal finished this quickly and I can't wait to see what Cesar Fair has in store for the parks. -
I just realized I put that. I meant the 14th

Smoothest ride I ever had on The Beast
Delirium13 replied to coasterking123456's topic in Trip Reports
I've only had a few bad rides on The Beast, other than that its always relatively smooth, fast, and fun for me no matter where I sit. -
Me and some of my friends went to the park on Wednesday, which was my 4th visit of the year and probably my best so far. We did way too much stuff to write it all down so I'll just give a not so in-depth overview of the day. Well we arrived at about 1 o'clock and head straight to the Son of Beast, I'd have to say the retracking was worth it as I got 3 quality rides out of it during the course of the day. Rode The Beast and it was great as usual, we actually rode every rollercoaster, except for the 3 in NU and IJ:ST. I got my first ride on Avatar in the back row in a corner seat, and it lived up to all the hype I've been hearing on here and it surprised my friends at how good of a ride it was, it is definately no just a kiddy ride. The longest line of the day was 20 minutes for FoF followed by TR:TR with about a 15 minute wait. Other than that every thing else was a walk on except for Face/Off.We ate at the International Street Skyline, rode a few of the rollercoasters a couple more times, rode Drop Zone, White Water Canyon, SDATHC (I got 1860 points and the ride didn't even break down), Delirium, and a few other rides. I bought some taffy and called it a day, we left at 9. I would have to say that this was my best visit so farr this year, and I had no complaints (except food prices) after the day was over.

Top Gun is always a nice ride to start off with, It usually doesn't have that long of a line and once you're off you are in the back of Action Zone and you can make your way out by riding all the rides and then make your way around the park from there. Another good one is The Beast.

Well at least it gives you a warning before you get to it. Would you rather smell it or step in it? What days have you been going on? Because whenever I'm at the park I only have to "suffer" from smoke in a few places, and that is usually walking past one and, being a non smoker myself,I don't hang around those areas so I don't mind it. And I wouldn't call it suffering unless you were right in front of the person who was smoking for a prolonged time, inhaling all of their second-hand smoke, not just walking by and area where people are smoking, which I'm sure is what you do. But I think the smoking policy Kings Island has is a great one, it just needs to be enforced greater. Because I have seen an occasional person or group of people smoking in other places around places around the park, but I must say it as gotteen a lot better with the new smoking ban, because I see a lot more people who smoke follow the rules than people who don't and I haven't had to deal with anyone smoking in line, although that's always been banned, since the parkwide ban was put in place.

I like going for the atmosphere and the rides. And for the time I get to spend with my friends.
