I'm really not sure how anyone can vote for the old SBNO SoB. I'll take a coaster that gives a questionable ride, yet still operates vs. a ride that is a large lawn ornament.

CP being open in November is nothing new. They did the same thing a few years ago. And given how popular Halloweekends are, it is a no-brainer from a business standpoint.

As sad as this story is, it is encouraging that she is well enough to start moving on, even if it is with a prostetic leg. Kudos to her and her family. I cannot even begin to imagine what they have gone through.

What did you expect with a free jacket? And it was never advertised as a "Kings Island" jacket. So why would "Kings Island" appear on the jacket? Some people are just never happy....

I never said DT was not a coaster. Where did you get that from? I am just not sure if in this case discussing a removal of a steel coaster if DT can be catagorized the same way as Gemini, Corkscrew, MF, etc. DT does run on a steel surface, but not on steel rails like the other coasters mentioned. Even RCDB has it listed as steel/ bobsled. It is certainly a gray area as far as it's class.

Another one of those: "Well, ok. I'll believe it when I see it." Now if this were even remotely true, I'd go with DT, even though I'm not sure it can be classified as a steel coaster. With DD being up for sale for a a while now (obviously not in CP's long term plans), the additional space that DT would leave would be large footprint possibly for the wood coaster CP is lacking. But even at that, I still find it difficult to believe that news of this magnatiude would have been leaked.

The thing is, even if you live a close distance to KI, gas prices still affect your trip. Only because everything is more expensive due to higher gas prices. Food, building supplies, metal, and actually any type of commodity is affected by gas prices. So even though the high gas price may not affect your actual gas tank, it is affected in other ways. Perhaps you decide not to get that one extra Coney Dog, or bottle of Aquafina, so that there is extra change in your pocket, it is still affected by gas prices. Or in my case, I plan longer trips where my family will do many things (as a result use more vacation time) instead of taking short trips (i.e.: Single trip to DollyWood, HolidayWorld, KI and CP and then back home. As well as Hershey, Dorney, KD and BGW in one trip.) When a few years ago we would just do a quick weekend to Hershey and back home.

Believe me, I am not agreeing with you. If you are going to quote me, quote the whole thing, and on top of that READ THE POST. Your example of the high school/ middle school scenario could have been VERY related to each other because both dealt with potential terrorism. But in the Disney case, an employee fell on a ride while working and passed on; while a guest collapsed outside a restaurant and passed on. How are those even close to being related?

No they did not happen on the same day. The Disney employee died on 11/29/07, five days after she fell while working. The Disney guest passed on 11/30/07 after collapsing outside a restaurant the day before. But now you are just splitting hairs. You first mentioned that if it dealt with the same company (your reference to CF with SC and CP), it should be mentioned. Now you are saying that since the parks are next to each other, or in this case 7 miles apart it is also fine to be mentioned. Exactly what should the proper distance between attractions before it is not appropriate to be mentioned? And in reference to the Generic school thing, yeah both should be mentioned in the same article due to the high chance that both are related to each other; which is obviously not the case when it comes down to the Disney situation.

^^ I work for GE Transportation. So that means if there would happen to be a horrible accident at my facility, and then a accident at IoA, both accidents it should be mentioned in the same article since both are owned by GE? Perhaps, if both accidents were ride related safety issues then it could be mentioned, but that is a stretch as well.

^ But they are distorting the actual facts, one incident had nothing to do with the other. Yet they way it is written, or just even mentioning another incident, gives the impression that both incidents are somehow connected. It is just irritating.

Does anyone understand why the media always brings up other completely unrelated incidents in sensitive articles. Why mention that someone died at AK in an article about how a guest passed on after a collapse at MK. The media can be rather irritating.
