Well it seems that you always want to have some sort of "lawsuit reasoning" for everything, but never back it up. Weather it is dealing with slander or threatening lawsuits against companies that make their decisions on their own private property, your reasonings are laughable. And ironically, I did look it up. And surprise, surprise; nothing about $5,000,000 was found. Unless you are trying to tell me that either: 1) No Ohio media outlet or national media outlet can add up all the *just Ohio* lawsuits against Best Buy. A *just Ohio* $5,000,000 lawsuit vs. Best Buy would be huge news, but nobody could figure it out? -or- 2) Columbus media outlets do not get published on the internet. So sure, there were lawsuits pending against Best Buy, but nowhere close to the numbers that you claimed to be true. Now it is funny that you bring up the "a law is made alot of times blah-blah". What exactly does that have to do with Best Buy losing a $5,000,000 lawsuit? Even if this whole Best Buy thing would be true, it does not make it a law if they are found guilty. Stick with Judge Judy and her buddy Judge Joe Brown.

I really thought that Wedding Crashers and You, Me, and Dupree were rather enjoyable movies. I'm on the fence with Anna Nicole Smith. It is rather embarressing to admit, but, I did see her show a few times on E!. She was a distasteful pig on the show, and her life and death is a tragic story. But she sure did not hold back on her show, so I'm wondering if anyone should hold back on her.

I can see that as crossing the line. But it is also a prop that you can see at every other halloween event. The accident on Black Sunday had nothing to do with a boat, and skeletons are used all the time for these types of functions. And quite honsetly, chances are the park did not even think about the accident at all. There really is nothing that the prop is using that uses any type of reference to the accident. If I would have seen it, I would not have even thought about the accident until someone brought it to my attention.

Well look at it this way: How many Jimmy Hoffa jokes are out there and how often is his reference used? Or Elvis sightings? Or anything dealing with Elvis? Karen Carpenter jokes? OJ Simpson jokes? Cruel or not, it's not CF on that island alone, but society as a whole. We have all endorsed it as entertainment.

The Owen Wilson joke could be in bad taste, but that board has nothing on what tabloids will publish. Also, he was not successful in his attempt, which is a good thing. And after working with many people who have attempted to do the same thing, there has been one constant that they all agree on: healing through humor. You will find this type of humor on many stages (literally). Watch Saturday Night Live or any of the 10,000 award shows that a comedian is hosting, and you will find the same thing. Things like this are the reasons why being in the public limelight day in, day out sucks from time to time.

Hold on. There is an accident, and it is determined that the cause was due to wet brakes. One park adds magnetic brakes, which pi$$es everyone off. Another park shuts rides down, which pi$$es everyone off. So what do you suggest? Obviously each park has tried something. If they had not changed something either mechanically or changed some policy dealing with weather and the same accident would have happened, then what? There are injuries, lawsuits, bad press for the park. Not to mention the premium for their insurance goes through the roof and the guest either suffers from higher gate prices or less expensive rides being built to compensate. This is a great example that you can't make everyone happy.

Which still would have been fine. For many years the main thrill draw for GL was: Double Loop, Corkscrew and Big Dipper. But given the hole (how the park looked) that was left when X-Flight and Steel Venom were removed, now add in two more coasters, the park would look rather terrible.

Now you are assuming that people wil actually open the map. But if you gave guests an individual notice about the smoking policy, then they have no excuse, and should be escorted out (if that is the park's policy). If you limit their options for excuses and misunderstandings/ miscommunications, you can certainly limit the incidents. For instance, in NY and OH you cannot find an ashtray in a tavern. So when you go to the bartender and ask for an ashtray, you are then informed of the state's smoking policies. Now if you find or *make* (empty can/ bottle) your own ashtray, there is no excuse. But this is where SF took it to the next level; in a bar, you will not be thrown out for a first warning. How many people actually get tossed from the park for their first offense of the day for line jumping?

As I find myself asking you many times; Exactly what case is that? I am going to assume the SFKK incident. Which would be covered by SF insurance.

Actually it does disappear in the air. Just like water coloring that is added to clear water. The more water added, the less the color can be seen. The more open in the air you are, the less likely you will be able to smell a cigarette.

But this incident has nothing to do with smoking in line, but rather smoking on the midway in an unspecified area. I do consider smoking in line and smoking on the midway two different issues.

^ Which is the EXACT reason that companies that deal with people bringing frivoulous lawsuits againts them have insurance companies as well as lawfirms on the payroll. For them to actually lose millions of dollars, first they would have to be found guilty of some type of neglegence and second, it would not be covered by their insurance company. And for a guest to actually take SF to the civil level, that would mean that SF is found responsible for somehow harming the guest, their reputation, or their pocketbook. Now it is going to take money for court fees as well as attorney fees. Sure, you could act as your own council, but then the SF attorney would eat your lunch for you. Bottom line- the most these people could look for is their admission fee since they were not even in the park for an hour. Lawsuits and threats of lawsuits like this are the reason why there needs to be some type of punishment/ fee for those who bring up frivoulous crap up like this. It clogs up the system. Start charging the claimant the attorney fees that the defendant has incurred if found to be frivolous and this garbage will stop.

The park cannot get fined for this. It is private property, not public. SF can make any rules they wany, weather we agree with them or not. And it also would not go to the Attorney General's office either, but rather civil court.

No it was not high maintenance costs. It was the high cost to maintain them for low attendance the park was getting.

Here comes all the "CP is out of land" comments. Next will be "Magnum is sinking" followed by "CP WILL have an AquaTrax". No, CP is not out of land.

And even a sign out front, no matter how big, really is not always noticed by guests. Some guests are just so excited to be at the park, all they want to do is get in and have a good time. This often times makes them oblivious to things around them. I would think that if a park really wanted to enforce it where a guest has absolutely no excuse is to personally hand the guest a notice of the enforced rules either at the toll booths for parking or while entering the park. Sure it may cost extra to staff, but from a PR standpoint I would think that it is worth the money.

Does the punishment fit the crime? Beginning of the day, haven't been on a ride yet, and they were already tossed from the park. It is nice to see that a park is enforcing the rules, but tossing out a family for a minor infraction seems a bit extreme. Smoking in the queue lines is one thing, smoking on the midway is something else.

As much as I like water rides, I really cannot see a seasonal park spending the kind of money that would warrent a ride like Jurassic Park. The season is already short enough, now combine that with an even shorter season for a water ride that many people are not willing to enjoy until it gets jiffy-pop hot outside. It becomes a rather expensive part-time ride. A dark ride that everyone can enjoy at anytime of the year anytime of the day is a better solution.

How do we know those pics were taken at KI? I'm not trying to be a conspiracy theorist here, but, if I had the trains in my backyard, I could take the same type of pics and say that the cars are at KI. Can any of the numerous employees that frequent this bored confirm seeing the cars at the park w/o getting themselves into trouble?
