KI to have same fate as GL?
Misery loves company. The differences between why GL closed and how KI operates is night and day. Golden Tickets are worth the same as a week old newspaper. There are numerous reasons why KI will not have the same fate as GL, and Golden Tickets would be last on the list.

New Beast and SOB Trains in '08?
Why do you say that?

New Beast and SOB Trains in '08?
Yeah, I missed that. It was rather hard to get past the whole CAPS thing and the numbered points. My bad.

New Beast and SOB Trains in '08?
You do know that the current trains on Beast are not the original trains. The old trains were 4 cars/ 8 person. Current trains are 6 car/ 6 person.

NEW ride idea
World records mean absolutely nothing for drop rides. There are plenty other legitimate reasons for not removing DZ.

Cedar Point
^ While I am not questioning your time keeping abilities, I do question the staffing for the rides. In the middle of July/ August any park is going to have their best staff on the ride platform. But come this time of year, when staffing can be difficult to come by at a park like CP, I question how fast they can get a full train out. Chances are you are not going to have the same crew on a Sunday in October that you have on a Sunday at the beginning of August.

New Beast and SOB Trains in '08?
While SoB was originally intended to operate with three trains, last minute design changes switched the placement of the load/ unload station. When this was changed, a block was thus lost and the ride has been unable to operate with 3 trains.

New Beast and SOB Trains in '08?
This is one of those "I'll believe it when I see it" rumors. Adding a 3rd train on SoB isn't going to help capacity since hardly anyone rides it anyway on a consistant basis. The cost associated with retrofitting another train for SoB's track does not justify the means. And new trains for Beast? Why? The trains they have are good enough. Not to mention I find it rather difficult to believe that the park would be willing to reduce capacity by 8 people/ train. Especially since there is no reason to change anything. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

How would you feel about KIC text alerts?
^ Too funny. Remember the old TV shows like Dallas that had those phones? We would be screaming at the TV: "C'mon and dial faster, we wanna know who shot JR!" Click-click-click-click

Kennywood: HS Football Star Allegedly Creates Disturbance
18 year old kid signing autographs and seeing sick people because he is a high school football prospect? What about the National Honor Socity? Why don't they sign autographs & see sick people? Oh yeah, that's right, SOCIETY PUTS KIDS ON A PEDELSTAL THAT CAN RUN A BALL! And when you give kids that kind of attention, it is absurd to think they would get a premadonna or narcissistic attitude. Nah, they would never be stupid enough to bring an incident to an idiotic level because, god forbid, someone does something they don't like. *end sarcasm* That coach should have just shut his mouth and suspend the player. Don't try and justify his actions. No matter if this kid had a legitimate reason to get ****ed, you still don't take it to a level where you are being charged with a crime. If he was that great of a person, he would have already known that.

Beast
So, hypothetically speaking, if there was no choice but to install trims on the first drop so the ride does not keep destroying itself (i.e. Mean Streak) you would be so upset that you would not forgive the park for their decision? Cause, you know, the other choice would be taking The Beast out.

Cedar Point
Schools are closed on Monday. Columbus Day is not exactly known for picnics like Memorial Day or 4th of July. And the weather was July/ August like. Now combine that with a unique event that only happens for a total of 21 days out of the year. And of those 21 days there are only 8 days where you can experinence all the rides, and all the haunts in the same day. Yeah, the park is going to be crushed.

SFOT Food Court to Get Makeover
Online or not, you are going to get more miles from a park representitive than any survey.
-
SFOT Food Court to Get Makeover
So you are going to find a person that has a survey or you are going to fill a survey out everytime something is not right? What the difference between a survey and going to GR? If someone is upset enough about a certain issue, they should bring it up. If they don't bring it up then they must have not been to upset to begin with.

PKI In Ohio: A Great Vacation and Travel Destination
Firehawk: extreme roller coaster? Intresting way of describing FH. I would think that descrbing it as: "Firehawk: Ohio's only flyer" is more of a eye-catching line.

TTD hits milestone
The restraints are very different as well. People always ask (and are usually called fanboys) why they like TTD more than KK. Especially since KK is faster and taller. And the answer is: the restraints. KK has OTSR, while TTD has a lap bar very similar to MF.
-
TTD hits milestone
^ Chances are, not as many as TTD. Only because, TTD has 6 trains, yet only uses 5 at a time. KK has only 4 trains.

Geauga Lake Fans Can't Say Goodbye
I believe that comparing GL to SoB is a very fair comparison. Obviously not from an asset comparison, that would be just dumb. One ride just cannot be compared to an entire park. But from the general attitude from CF, both are very comparible. Each has been failing for many years, each has not left CF in the black, and each has not been popular for a long time. Yet CF felt one entity was worth the expense of saving while the other was not worth the expense.

Geauga Lake Fans Can't Say Goodbye
90% may have been generous. http://www.ushsho.com/detailedwoodrollerco...results2006.htm Please notice #176 out of a total 179 in 2006. http://www.ushsho.com/detailedwoodrollerco...results2005.htm #173 of 175 in 2005. And in a different poll here: http://www.geocities.com/wcoasterpoll/wcprs02.htm Sure, coaster polls are worth about the same as a week old newspaper. But usually there is much arguement for the coasters at the top of the list, but in this case, the general concensus seems to be the same for the bottom of the list.
