  1. So how do you get ahold of this 'Ohio Magazine'?
  2. ^ A weather forcast has never stopped me from going to a park. Actually, some of my best days in a park has been when the forcast looks bleak, or it has rained in the early afternoon. Don't worry about the weather. Go and have a great time!
  3. Yes. But on April 23rd, according to the Daily Record, the name "Potterland" was mentioned. WWoHP is much better!
  4. ^ I am willing to bet that CP and KI have different types of scanning systems. Making all the parks have one universal system would be rather expensive. I don't remember which year it was, but I was unable to use my Paramount (KI) pass at PKD. I had to sign in as well. I would rather see CF spend money on improving the parks before they solve this minor inconvienence issue.
  5. ^ Well the way I understood the Orlando Sentinal article (remember this is just the media) it seems a part of the "Lost Continent" will become a new land for Harry potter. But also, some of the things in "Lost Continent" will be staying. From Orlando Sentinal: "Much of "The Lost Continent" island, including Universal's award-winning Mythos Restaurant, will be retained as a separate themed area, just smaller. The island is to remain open during construction as well. Some current "Lost Continent" attractions such as The Dueling Dragons roller coasters and The Flying Unicorn coaster ride likely would be adapted to fit the Harry Potter story. Trowbridge would not discuss specific attractions, but did say that Universal intended to "leverage some existing infrastructure." He said that would have to include far more than a new paint job and a new sign, because too much is at stake." I just hope that there is some type of new Quidditch ride.
  6. Wow. That really bums me out. I guess CP decided that since Chick-fil-a took over the Frontier Inn, which was pizza; they changed the menu of Chuck Wagon to pizza. Ya, because CP needed ANOTHER pizza vendor. Just another reason why we bring a cooler.
  7. Replaced an inversion with a "S" curve? Son of Maverick?
  8. Yes. As long as you are staying at a CP resort, you will get a Joe Cool card. If they don't give it to you, be sure to ask for it.
  9. ^The Breakers entrance (Magnum) does have a small customer service office with it. I would think that you could enter there. But just to CYA, I would call ahead first just to be sure.
  10. ^Are you going for two full days? If so, call BE and explain that you understand that you cannot check in early on Monday, but you still would like to be able and get into the park early with Joe Cool. I have asked in the past and have had no problems. The trick is, now you have to get to the park early Monday. As far as Maverick opening for Joe Cool, it's a crap shoot. New ride. New day. New problems.
  11. For those who are intrested in Chuck Wagon: http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/park/food...k_wagon_inn.cfm Intresting though; they post the menu, but not the prices. ummmmm....
  12. So what time does the Dumpster start serving?
  13. That............is...............difficult...........to...............read. ............have..........a............nice.............day.
  14. http://media.universalorlando.com/harrypotter/ http://www.orlandosentinel.com/business/cu...-home-headlines Now it's official.
  15. One of the stories I heard was that a gentleman in a wheelchair went up to the exit of Vortex, the ride operator asked the people that were next in line if they could wait one more cycle, the gentleman got on, rode, and then got off the ride. Then he turned around and did the same thing approximately 10 minutes later. I question the validity of the story, which is why I brought up the question. Now if it is true, I would consider it to be abusing the system. If he wanted to ride again, I have no problem with that. Just make it consecutive cycles, not the whole get on/ get off routine. I also have no problem with them going to the front of the line. But I also believe it should be limited to a policy where you & a guest can ride each ride twice a day for back-to-back cycles. If it is during the week where the park is not busy than it really is not that big of a deal.
  16. An intreseting topic was brought up on another site. What is KI's policy on handicapped guests? Do they go to the front of every line for ride they are able to go on, or does it work like the parent swap program? I have not been to the park with a friend that was in a wheelchair, so I really have no clue as to what the park does.
  17. ^ Miss it? No. I can see billboard advertisments on my way to the park.
  18. What do I expect? I expect Disney quality food at KI if they are going to charge me the same. While it is easy to compare a professional sport stadium to a place like KI, it is an unfair comparison. You are only in a stadium for a game for about 4 hours. At KI, you are there for an upwards of 10+ hours. KI claims to be a family park. Most sports do not cater to families, nor do they advertise that they are. Also, KI has an entire summer of 10+ hours a day to make their money. Whereas a stadium is limited to their times and dates. The majority of a foodservice revenue does not come from the few guests, but the amount of guests they can serve as fast as possible. Yes, KI does have the monopoly of food. It is just unfortunate that they are slamming it down our throats with their inflated prices.
  19. Ya, sure. One whole pizza, 4 salads, and 4 drinks for $29.99? You can go onto the Pizza Hut website and get two large pizzas (including Supreme, Meat Lovers etc.) for $20.00. Something tells me that 4 salads and all you can drink sodas will not be an additional $20. Dinner for 4 at Wings for $40.00? While that is a little better compared to Old Country Buffet ($11.01/ adult, $.55 x child's age under 12- both include tax= $35.22) you cannot compare the quality & selection of OCB to Wings. Instead of "target audience" it seems they are "targeting an audience" in the cross-hairs.
  20. ... read the title.... ... read the title....
  21. ^^ Ummmm.... You. Roommate. Same type of marks on body. I also question if it came from the ride or not. (Sorry, had to do it )
  22. *shake, shake, shake* *shake, shake, shake* Magic 8-Ball says: "Ask me again in 32 days."
  23. CF has had to deal with DT at CP for quite some time now, and DT is much larger and uglier than TR will ever be. Wife for Beast? Please tell me that was just a poor try at humor.
  24. While it is not impossible for a coaster to be added next year, I would not bet on it. KI just added a relocated coaster, and are still in the process of renovating SoB. I would look for the area of the park that is currently not receiving a lot of attention from guests. Chances are, that is where a new ride will be going. According to Mr. Kinzel, Maverick took 3 years of planning. CF has not even owned KI for a whole year yet. I think it would be difficult for them to add any type of coaster for 2008, even a relocated one.
  25. http://www.sanduskyregister.com/articles/2...ront/293269.txt This whole story sounds very familiar. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...55&hl=Beast It is good to hear that the injuries were minor. Fiberglass can always be replaced.
