  1. Let's match apples to apples. The last new B & M stand-up was constructed in 1999 (total of 7 Worldwide), whereas there have been 16 inverts (almost half Worldwide) built in that same timeframe. I would not classify inverts going the way of stand-ups. http://rcdb.com/r.htm?ot=2&nm=na&de=5&co=6831&page=1&order=-10
  2. I have heard of these stories, and completely believe they are absolutely, 100%, full of crap. Perhaps not knowing for the first 2 trimesters- I'll give that a slim chance. But the last? No, not buying it. Denial comes into the equation of "knowing" because of the amount of changes along with severity of changes to the body. Not knowing you are prego is comparable to a 5'10" guy that is 350lbs. and upset he can't get on DB because: "I'M NOT FAT!" I am happy to know your college friend's baby is doing well.
  3. Ugh..... Son of Firehawk? It would have only made the news if she got stuck on the lift hill.
  4. FYI on TRADEMARKS http://www.registeringatrademark.com/length-trademark.shtml
  5. I particularly love inverts. Adding one will only add to KI's well rounded coaster attractions. If it is not an invert, no complaints from me as long as it is not a flyer or something along the lines of BLSC. On the subject of Banshee: KI needs this attraction to be a home run from the get-go to remove the SoB debacle from most memories. No drama. No hiccups. Absolute perfection. IMO Banshee does not accomplish this. Stratosoar has been patented trademarked ( ) by CF in recent years. This does match up well with an invert and KI's recent focus on the dinosaur angle. Just more guesses to add to the mix.
  6. One less person in line.Excellent!
  7. I gotta ask: Why invert a wing rider? Wouldn't it be the same experience as a regular invert?
  8. The similar center mold used previously on other B & M footers. Please refer to post # 3512 for comparison. Is it a definitive sign? No. But certainly makes it likely.
  9. I would like to see the evidence that it must be the ride ops fault in these instances.
  10. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/business/tourism/os-cfb-cover-disney-ticket-prices-0617-20130617,0,3155831.story It comes down to supply & demand as well as cheapening up the other parks to disperse the crowds up between the 3 other main parks.
  11. Up until this point, footers have been just footers from any coaster manufacturer. It appears in THE_BEASTmaster's Diamondback FoF's pic(s) ( ) these footers are certainly pointing in the direction of B & M. Nice pics & great legwork!
  12. I feel the same way with spelling & grammar in posts. It's just not a perfect World.
  13. Nice diversion.Well played.
  14. Aside from the costs associated with keeping that much material & labor just sitting around unpainted with no purpose; due to the numerous coaster types & train uniqueness for B & M, it would be hard to imagine a need for a "standard section" for stock.
  15. Or "you can't handle the truth". Something unique possibly? My take on the "no camping": some of the new ride goes into the area formerly occupied by Camper Villiage (not sure if someone has already mentioned that).
  16. It's a quote from the movie "A Few Good Men".
  17. It's not just the waiting in line that is the underlying issue, but the break from the norm. (i.e.: the special needs person is not able to watch a certain TV program at a certain time due to breaking national news. They will not understand why the program is not on TV.) For instance: there have been many issues with WS. What would happen if WS stops at the top for an extended amount of time (aka- breaking the norm)? Those with special needs have been known to have incredible strength. Could they get out of the restraint? It's a scary thought.
  18. Much like the issues that constantly plague society today, there is no one thing/ plan to solve the problem (I call it a "Magic Wand"). Many today do not know what autism is as the first thing they think of is "Rain Man" (on a side note, Dustin Hoffman was excellent!). There are a handful of more severe cases, and most less severe (many go undiagnosed or diagnosed at an older age). Parks (since SIX has now entered the mix) do try and cater to everyone, but the decisions are for the majority of disabled guests, not the most severe. Policies often change with any business & just because it has been done one way in the past, does not mean it is the right way today & does not mean it cannot change in the future. One thing is certain: in our litigation happy society, parks will first cover their own butt before allowing a possible safety incident to happen.
  19. There is no guarantee that FL will still have no wait.
  20. ^ Different restraints?
  21. The policy is as fair as it can be for everyone. With the risk of sounding insensitive (and I truly am not), if a guest has a severe enough case that a set time to ride still cannot be followed due to the possible reaction, I'm not sure they would/ should be able to ride to begin with. What if the ride stops due to a malfunction (as had made news at KI twice this season)? Will the guest be able to evacuate the ride safely without a reaction that could possibly hurt themselves or someone else? It is both an unfortunate situation & decision, but IMO as fair as it can get.
  22. Kudos to your family for the effort to make him happy. Many do not.
