  1. Biggest bust of all time? On a KI fan site? Has FT reached $50+ million yet & been dismantled? Then & only then it can be discussed. Until then, only one ride easily has the identity of "biggest bust".
  2. Monica agrees!
  3. So you believe previous reveals will clue us in? What information are you providing?Aside from that, relax man. Have fun with this stuff. Much knowledge can be learned from getting off the beaten path. What you believe to be "unnecessary" is simply your opinion.
  4. What new information do you have?
  5. The one with the ladder/ slide that resembles a Freddie Kruger movie?
  6. I bet this former employee wishes park security was a true Mickey Mouse operation.
  7. Not this year. We are still stuck with the old ones. But there have been fences erected in one section of the park....
  8. Sorry, no.You have any idea what the Powerball numbers will be tonight?
  9. We have not reached the insanity of an SoB topic yet.yet.
  10. Who needs this fodder??KIC has solid confirmation from Jshack.
  11. And, ironically, you understood the reference. Most would consider that alone to be "mission accomplished".
  12. But they do jump on the TTD talk....... Many have lied in this thread...... I'll be here all week folks!
  13. There is a airtime hills joke hidden in here somewhere......
  14. KI's 2014 coaster:
  15. Not a big shock: http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/local/neighborhoods-city/parents-sue-pittsburgh-zoo-in-boys-mauling-death-688841/
  16. ^ If I am not mistaken, you turned your Beach pass in for a discount KI pass. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/25187-the-beach-closing-after-27-years/page-3 Courtesy of Delirium13: Kings Island EXTENDS SPECIAL TRIAL OFFER TO 2012 BEACH WATERPARK PASSHOLDERS http://www.visitkingsisland.com/article/media-center/Kings-Island-extends-special-trial-offer-to-2012-Beach-Waterpark-passholders Beach season passholders can use their passes visit Kings Island for free on one day and upgrade for $49.99. Sad to see the Beach close, but this a smart strategy by KI I think to gain some new passholders, possibly for years to come.
  17. Classy move. They didn't have to do a thing, but have gone above & beyond with that decision. Customer service "things" like that encourage me to go, but, I am now bummed now that our trip in a few weeks will not include The Beach.
  18. This sounds rather familiar......
  19. Just stating that safety is "a given" is poor attitude. Safety is never "a given". I do find it interesting that it's the ride ops not busting their ass at KI, except when it comes down to you "downing" rides for safety issues. Unless you are on the platform the whole time any ride is open, there is no way to know why trains are stacking. Assuming it must be the ride ops not busting their ass is just trolling. I do have to bring up Mantis at CP into the stacking discussion. Mantis has 3 trains, and used 3 trains for a handful of years. When it became obvious that trains would be stacked no matter the effort, the decision to only use two was made.
  20. ^ Gemini & CCMR specifically come to mind. Those trains had sandbags to add weight to the trains.
  21. Don't think so?I have been on numerous coasters that had less than half-full trains. The experience was deteriorated to say the least.
  22. Each ride is very different. An example of computer issues: TTD has so many sensor/ prox switches (especially on the brake fins) is was a nightmare for the first few years. Structural issue: Beast 10-15 years ago was down for sometime for tunnel issues (apparently one of the sides of the tunnels collapsed). Another would be SoB (no explanation needed).
  23. Nobody was there when it happened. I wonder if it made a noise?
  24. Those who say that say he did that to protect his primary business, Cedar Point. Does that mean parks like KI & KD are to be considered a secondary business? Brown, who too likes to ask questions.
  25. ^ There are still many that believe CF, under Kinzel's leadership, purchased GL just to watch it fail.
