  1. The same "user" has been on CP's page for some time now. Hopefully, the powers that be at KI know how to block the "user". Personally, I hope the "user" gets his back door broken down in too.
  2. How is the linked information any different than what has been discussed here?
  3. Please don't feel slighted....
  4. ^ It was a waste the first time it was brought up. Sorry BF56. Comparing an '87 Arrow looper to an '09 B&M anything is as black & white as you can get. Oh yeah, welcome to KIC! As was politely mentioned, use the search feature. Regurgitating the same material over & over creates confusion. Keep it simple.
  5. Given that, we may be able to narrow it down to the exact day in 2011.

  7. If I remember the car give away correctly, it was recorded this summer.

  9. ^ Be sure to secure it to the wall well. If it would happen to fall & break your computer or hit you in the head requiring a hospital visit, the "define irony" jokes would be endless.
  10. Imagine the crowd!
  11. ^ I don't think that is the case. In the pics of the plaques, there is a: "x" of "x" value. For KI to sell more than the initial amount offered would be, at best, unethical.
  12. I have purchased some expensive things on EBay. For instance, I recently bought the 1981 Hallmark Rocking Horse Christmas Ornament. My parents thought I was crazy. My wife & I wanted to complete the set. I have also purchased Wrestlemania tickets on EBay as well as a beta tape of Beast's first run in 1979 (that can now be seen on YouTube) But, $125 for a polo shirt just because it has an emblem for a failed coaster is certifiable.
  13. 4.5 hours is the fastest Normally about 5 hours....
  14. I wonder how many here even know what "Towering Inferno" is. It's not that they cannot be "rescued", but that they cannot be rescued in a reasonable amount of time. That begs the question, what is a reasonable amount of time? I personally believe 1 hour is a good watermark. Anything over is way too long.
  15. The article also states "312 miles of track now lie in twisted heaps", which we know not to be true.....
  16. I'm glad it was only a one year hiatus.

    Bad Luck

1979, I was 6. Went on Beast after 4 hour wait. What a rush. Got back in line later in the day. 2 hour wait. I somehow shrunk and was not permitted to ride. Dad stuck papertowels in shoes to give me the 1/64" I needed. Waited another 2 hours. I'm at the air gates. It's 9:30pm-ish. Thunderstorm hits. Beast is closed.
  18. I'm not saying the decision was not made for many years, but..... The metal used for the track is cold roll steel- the cheapest steel that can be purchased. The rust is not a surprise.
  19. Exactly.I can't see a merger helping in any way.
  20. ^ That is more of a regional competition. I am referring to the minority enthusiast side who travels nationwide to enjoy the constant 1-upping the parks partake in.
  21. I hope this stays a rumor. Healthy competition is good for the consumer.
  22. Watching is not the issue. Recording it poses the problem. I wonder if Ford sold momentos of the Pinto?
  23. I'm actually quite surprised you, or anyone else here for that matter, didn't brought up the fact that SS was the one that ignited the rumor about a potential 2009 coaster back before the end of the 2007 season for the Island. It's hard to be wrong when a prediction is made for a new coaster every year at parks that have not built a new coaster recently.I can remember reading about an aquatrax being built to replace White Water Landing & a certain looping wood coaster opening back up.
  24. I wish to thank Don for this: Don't twist the meaning of what I said. Don's quote was provided by the media, who have been known to make many, many, many errors, especially when quoting another. I can see the writer asking: "What are the future plans for the SoB site?", and the response being: "There are no current plans for all 12 acres."
  25. Where did someone claim that a lie was made?
